Their sauce is the best thing about them. It's a good thing, too, because they don't spend much time on the meat. If you are expecting the meat to fall off the bones look elsewhere.
Their desserts are good, though. Pecan pie and banana pudding are great.
If they'd lower their prices I might go back.
Great sauce, but the food is overrated and overpriced.
A big institution in Mobile. Big place with a fun atmosphere. But the barbecue isn't really very good. They put a heavy emphasis on the sauces and no emphasis on the actual smoked meat. The times I've eaten here, my food may have come out of an oven instead of a smoker. I couldn't tell. But they smell good when I drive by and they sell beer. it isn't all bad.
