37 reviews for Dreamclinic Massage
One of Dreamclinic Massage's Favorite Reviews What's This?
From the professionalism of their massage therapists to the accommodating front office staff, I have nothing but rave reviews for Dreamclinic! Their track record has remained high and since finding a permanent massage therapist, I continue to experience relaxing and therapeutic massages. Quick thanks to my RMT for not stocking solely flute-nature-sounds CDs, sometimes a little Depeche Mode fits my mood better than the sound of chirping birds backed by a friggin' pan flute.
I like the fact that they are not a spa. If I wanted to go to a spa, I'd go to a SPA. Dreamclinic offers massages in a tranquil environment without the added charges for things I don't want but this doesn't mean that they are low rent. Their massage rooms and lobbies are clean and pleasantly decorated.
They remodeled their clinic installing sound dampening windows and also renovating the bottom office space for their purposes. For this reason, I checked the option wheelchair accessible since you can now be seen downstairs.
Check out their website for promotions, they usually offer something to entice you to check them out. And again, you won't be disappointed. Read the other reviews and you will see what I mean!

Okay, so I know I just wrote a review for Dreamclinic last week, but that was acupuncture, this is massage, so it was a totally different experience.
I went in yesterday for a 60 minute deep tissue massage from Esther, and GOOD GOLLY! She has got the strongest hands I've ever felt! It was so super great. I get terrible aches in my shoulders and lower back from sitting at a desk all day, and she masterfully worked out all my kinks. She was able to provide a really strong massage while also having it be relaxing (I almost went to sleep). Esther was very good about listening to what I wanted (when I wanted less pressure, she used less pressure) and she worked on the areas I needed most.
Today, sitting at my desk working feels 100x better than it did two days ago. At my request, she also did cupping all over my back and shoulders which felt incredible.
Yay Esther for super massage! I am definitely coming back to this place. :-)

Okay . . . I am sure that everyone who reads my reviews is pretty sick of my whole broken ankle saga, but again, it applies. I hadn't had a massage in over 6 months and I REALLY needed one to work out all of the wonky back things happening since I started walking again.
Anyway . . . I scheduled an appointment with Melissa, and something that was kind of nice from other places I've been was that we sat down together before the massage so that she could find out what was going on with me, what I preferred, etc. Usually, it's been my experience there's not a lot of time left for that, or they ask you when you're already laying down with your face scrunched up in that padded . . . face holder (what IS it??).
I like a firm massage . . . my ultimate goal is to feel like a really relaxed ball of mush afterwards, and let me tell you, Melissa delivers! In fact, she had techniques that not only were completely new to me, but were EXTREMELY effective . . . quite possibly there were parts of me that had never been relaxed before Melissa!
So, go see Melissa (based on other reviews it seems like everyone there is pretty high caliber) and when you get your face down in that padded thing and see a little pool of drool on the floor beneath you, it means that I probably had an appointment right before you :o)

Finally came back and got my replacement massage. It was fantastic. I will definitely go back. She managed to give extra attention to my upper back/shoulders (a bit of a problem area) without seeming to ignore or neglect any other area. She used a lot of pressure without making it painful, and paid a lot of attention to how I was reacting so that I could just zone out and enjoy.

This is really a great spot. Comfortable setting, knowledgeable therapists, professional and great deep tissue work. I sent an important client in and she raved. Thanks Haakon for taking such good care of her.
An amazing massage experience.
I knew we had to come here when we both woke up one morning and groaned about how achy we were. I booked my boy and I appointments after seeing the great feedback here and am glad I did. And of course, I made sure I booked them for a hour.
First off, they do take doctor referrals which means that, depending on your insurance provider, you may have massages covered as part of your benefits. And for some reason, they require a referral even if your insurance doesn't, which I don't fully understand. So have one ahead of time to avoid the hassle. (at this point I'm still trying to get mine but Dreamclinic was nice enough not to charge me the full cost)
I had a hour massage with Carlie and was most pleased. She's very friendly and can be as talkative as you like. She gave me a wonderful full body massage with a nice medium pressure which fixed the horrible cracking sound in my shoulders, from past hockey injuries. My legs felt less tired and my whole body sighed in relief. It really helped to relieve my stress from dealing with a toddler.
The boy also had an hour massage with another masseuse, it was his first massage and he complimented that it was nice but not really his thing. Though his legs did feel a lot better afterwards.
The rooms were really cozy, clean and minimalist. The overall atmosphere was very serene and new age without being over the top. There is limited parking on the side of the building. Overall the entire experience was great and I highly recommend giving this place a try for a good massage.

So after reading rave reviews of Dreamclinc, and seeing the Early Bird promotional offer, I decided to try here after my Rock & Roll Half Marathon last Saturday.
I was scheduled an appt with Melissa. I've only been to one other massage session, so I'm still a newbie in this department. I felt pretty comfortable here, and Melissa took a good care of me. I might have pulled my calf muscle, and she went and got an ice pack for it. Throughout the session, she asked if the pressure was okay and made sure I was comfortable.
Unlike some of the reviews, I didn't have any problems with outside noise. The atmosphere was clean, simple, and professional. I enjoyed my experience here and will return again!! :)
Until today, I had never had a professional massage. Unfortunate, I know. After my massage at Dreamclinic, I now know what I've been missing out on. Relaxation!
Last month, I put a lot of faith in yelp reviews, since I had never personally been to Dreamclinic, and bought a massage gift certificate to give to my boyfriend for his birthday. He enjoyed his massage and to my glee he decided to bestow me with the same gift for Valentine's Day.
Granted I don't have past massage experiences to compare this to, but Melissa did a fantastic job! I mean I was drooling within a minute and I think that's a good sign! I didn't have any specific target areas that I wanted her to focus on, but instead just asked for relaxation and that is exactly what I got. She spent a lot of time focusing on my back and neck, but also made time for my arms, legs, head and face (who knew a jaw massage felt sooo good?!). I'm now a noodle and love the world.
I'm not going to lie, I kind of wanted to cry when she said we were out of time. Instead of crying, I just went ahead and made an appointment for next week! I can't believe I missed out out this experience for so long.

I'd give it a six if I could.
I have a many, many massages as has my mother who came with me to dreamclinic. These people know what they are doing.
I don't think I will I go anywhere else. I generally like a very high end spa like atmosphere (sauna, steam room and the works), but I will save that for facials or pedicures. The space is very clean and charming; nice waiting room with good mags and tea; not fussy just utilitarian. This is the real deal, this is where you go for a LMT who truly loves and hones his or her craft. They are not phoning it in. They believe in the power of massage therapy and it's evident as soon as they touch your skin. Sigh, I am still feeling like putty and it's been over 3 hours ago. Just wonderful.

I think I cried during that massage. And I really don't cry (maybe that's the problem!)
Seriously therapeutic both physically and spiritually. I loved the combined holistic approach to both my physical and emotional health.
I keep trying to get back but work is getting in the way, thereby perpetuating the need to get more massages.
Shandell was wonderful and very sympathetic during my first visit there (I was in a rare crisis mode...)

Wow, love this place! great therapists, beautiful decor, very informative.
Very pricey though.. but worth it!!
Bad for parking good thing I was at Whole foods down the street and could walk up the block. Must be great for local traffic.
I will go back! (I was there a while ago, just wanted to post this (*_*)

I am a fan of Dreamclinic. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They recently renovated their site to include more services, which I think is awesome. They also have some therapists who accept insurance, which really helps me out since I incur sports injuries and require multiple visits in a short period of time. I have been a client of Dreamclinic for 3+ years.

Ohmigoodness. My boyfriend got me a hot stone massage here for my birthday, and even though I loved him before, I decided on that day that he would be the man I'd marry.
I had never had a massage before, and haven't since, so I don't have much to compare it to in terms of massage quality. I do know, however, that the masseuse (Amalia) made me feel so wonderful that I was literally giggling for the rest of the day.
The building was under construction, and I was a little wary of going somewhere that seemed so new-agey and being touched by a stranger . I was also a little put off by the extensive questionnaire I got (what antidepressants I'm taking? For real? I just want to get rubbed) but I think this is really just their way of being thorough. Amalia got me some tea, talked to me about exactly where and how she would be touching me, and talked to me at length about what areas I might want her to focus on. I never knew how good I could feel until she laid her hands on me. She was very professional and sensitive, and able to find where I had tension and ease it away. She also made sure the room was comfortable, and that I wasn't rushed out right away.
I would definitely recommend this place to friends, and I will be there again ASAP.

SO and I went there after getting a gift certificate and we're hooked. One of the best massages I've had in a long time (only Lisa at Banya 5 comes close). We both had a masseuse named Michelle and both loved it.
Completely relaxing and making your muscles into butter - almost like a topical application of Valium, except the street value of the massage is a bit higher.

Went with the package deal and came out pretty good deal, roughly something like a bit over 60 per hour. Located in center of greater Seattle so I can always drop by when need. Sort of new at this, but reservation is highly recommended if you want the massage therapist your choice.
With so many massage therapist, trial and error process is needed. My personal favorite is Pine.
Final Say = heaven on earth!

This review is not so much for the Dreamclinic, but for its superstar LMP Carlie. The clinic itself is fine and fairly standard: cozy chairs, bamboo growing in the corner, soft music, water cooler, etc. Carlie, however, is exceptional. She gives the finest massage I have ever had, bar none. Sore spots and muscle aches can't hide from Carlie. Don't bother telling her where you hurt; she'll find it. Carlie tracks down your knots and makes them pay. She is the one reason why I continue to go to the Dreamclinic.

Unfortunately for this "spa" place you can hear cars the whole time you are having your massage...not my idea of relaxing. :o(
This is the best place in Seattle I have found for a massage. Seriously, I've been there three or four times with different therapists every time. No complaints here. I have to say though, my favorite was Pine.
Each therapist starts out the session with a Q&A period where they ask what is bothering you and what you'd like them to focus on. I swear they just know.
I highly recommend this place especially if you have a focus on what you want - or even just a full body massage. Worth every freaking penny!
Things to know - parking is rough but there is generally some off street parking (their lot is tiny) and usually you can get an appointment same day!

Still felt like it wasn't worth it. I was tense the whole time.. i felt like the masseuse didn't do a good job of relaxing me and because of that I never got a good massage.

The first thing I needed to find upon moving was a massage therapist. Before I moved, I managed a therapeutic massage office, so I knew exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for an office with multiple therapists with varied schedules who were focused on total wellness and the needs of each individual; not a trendy day spa where there is a generic massage routine that every therapist must follow for fear of people having unique experiences.
Dreamclinic has 12 massage therapists. I would see any one of them. Every massage that I have had starts with a discussion with the therapist about what you want to gain from the massage - be it relief from pain in a very specific area, general relaxation, etc., you can be sure that you will get what you are looking for. The rates for massage are very comparable for the Seattle area (based on my knowedge from calling places all over).
An added benefit - if you refer people to Dreamclinic after you've gone there, you will get a certificate for 30 minutes to be added to your next massage (which I think is awesome!).

I was prescribed massages (score, right? I know!) and after calling around and getting frustrated that solitary massage therapists never answered their damn phones, I called the Dreamclinic. It really aggravates me when I call a business (during regular business hours) and there's no answer. So it's nice that there's /always/ someone there, specifically hired to pick up the phone. Based on that, their website, and that Allure voted them the best massage clinic in Seattle, I decided to with them.
The Dreamclinic always smells like honey, which is nice, and they have individual CD players in the rooms so you aren't forced to listen to any of the new age garbage that most spas and massage places seem to be so fond of. I'm more of a Smiths/Pulp/classical type girl - even for massages.
I've had two different massage therapists (scheduling conflicts) and both were great. They asked what I wanted and where the pain was, et cetera, et cetera, and massaged accordingly. Now I'm getting spoiled; by the time my appointment rolls around, I'm thinking, 'Oh /god/, I desperately need a massage,' and it's really not that desperate.
But be careful, their massages will mess you UP! Afterwards I'm always a little wobbly and unbalanced for a while as I recover from being tenderized like a steak (it feels great!). I wish I could keep getting them after my prescription runs out!

I wasn't sure what to expect here -- the location was so random building on a busy street. But, when it comes to massage, it's all about the service -- and that was divine. One of the best massages I've had -- and the price was reasonable. Atmosphere was good -- sort of a cross between clinical and local spa. I plan to go back.

When I arrived, my massage therapist asked me question after question about how I was feeling, what was bothering me, what I wanted to focus on. Then, he went to work.
I almost cried. No, not because the service was terrible. No, because my massage therapist cracked knot after knot. For half an hour, he worked diligently on my neck.
I felt really good afterwards. In fact, I went to pilates and my instructor marveled at how much more open my shoulders were.
woot!

Worth every penny! I couldn't be more relaxed afterwards unless I was sleep-walking.
They take such good care of you as soon as you walk in the door.
The atmosphere is mellow, warm, and yet very professional. The woman who helped me was truly deserving in the title 'therapist'.
Frankly I didn't want to go home!***

So, in my experience, finding a good massage is not an easy thing. It seems like you find someone and then six month later they decide to become a dog psychic and you are back to searching. Or you call someone from Craigslist and they are dubiously licensed and aren't really there to relieve the tension in your shoulders.
So discovering a professional organization that is reliable and provides good service in the massage industry is kinda like finding a $50 bill in the pocket of a pair of pants you haven't worn in a while. Very cool and lint-y.
I've been there several times and these folks are awesome. I've never had a bad experience. I almost feel as if I should dock them a star because parking there can really suck, but they win it back for not being flaky. Stupid dog psychics....

This is one of the best places to get massages in Seattle! The service is fantastic and the price is very affordable. I have been there twice and will definitely go back again for my massage.

I see Carlie at Dreamclinic. I have seen a lot of different therapists and paid for some crappy massages in my time. This is worth it. Worth every-freaking-penny worth it. Carlie has managed to work out the nooks and crannies, popping out the kinks in places where I wasn't even sure I had connective tissue (and hello? I've dissected cadavers, I should know this). She's receptive to feedback, chats you up or down depending on if you want to talk, and reads her clients well. I typically park on the street across and dodge 65th traffic to get there. After playing 65th St Frogger, seeing Carlie is even more relaxing and wonderful. She's a great professional and I have nothing but praise for her and for Dreamclinic.

I have been unable to find a massage therapist as great as Amalia at Dreamclinic. I tried to save money by going to Massage Envy which was a big mistake (let's just say the Massage Envy massage is like a meal at McDonald's while a massage by Amalia is like a dinner at The Met). It's well worth the extra money to see someone like Amalia who is skilled at identifying where I need the most help and has a way of gradually working deeper that minimizes any discomfort. I also appreciate how fluidly she moves, she always keeps one hand on me at all times so everything flows together perfectly. I feel like a new person for days afterward. She even shows me new stretches each visit that I can do at home to keep feeling great. What's really special, though, is that she is genuinely interested in me as a person and I am able to start the relaxation process with some friendly chatting. Being someone who is uneasy around strangers, this is very important for me to feel at ease.
The only drawback is that the clinic is located right off the street, so there is often traffic noise. But I find I'm able to tune that out rather quickly and focus on relaxation.

The massage was really good, though not the best I've ever had. Prices are very affordable though and service is great. They even have a punch card for you to earn free massages! A truly magnificent idea!
Best place to get a massage in Seattle, hands down (har har har). The staff are well trained to pair you with a therapist who will do exactly what you need (deep tissue, sports, etc.), and each session begins with a brief conversation about problem areas so the massage is focused on what "needs fixing". The therapists truly care about your overall health and well-being; after my last massage, the therapist made me take a couple of pages of stretching diagrams to work on before the next session. Great stuff--highly recommended.

This is where I get my massage. Hunching over the computer all day and yelping all night gets me all knotted up. And every time that happens, they fix me up so I can walk straight again! yay! My massage therapist automagically finds all the crazy painful tight spots as if she's a mind reader. Ahh what would I do without dream clinic :O

Amalia, my massage therapist at Dreamclinic, is an angel on this earth. I suffer from chronic upper back pain, and she has helped me so much. I'm sure the other therapists are great too, but I'll never switch from Amalia!
The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. The reception staff are always friendly, and everyone is very professional. And, as I've stated, Amalia ROCKS.
Hands down the best place to get a massage. They are some of the best trained massage therapists around - and treat the massage seriously (not just for relaxation alone). I won't go anywhere else now that I've tried the Dreamclinic

Melissa at Dreamclinic saved my back! I threw it out and could barely walk, then after a single visit to this miracle place I was able to practically jog to and from my classes at the UW. I have also been to a few other therapists there and they are all excellent, but I am just partial to Melissa. I also love the atmosphere when you come in, the nice music and free specialty hot teas to relax you. The prices are pretty reasonable for massage also. I would pay more, but don't tell them that! It was recommended to me by three different friends of mine and I have heard that all of the therapists I have not tried are equally as excellent.

I have only had a few massages in my time ($$), and this was by far my best. It is a very small, simple space. It's quiet and relaxing. I was there a few days before Valentine's day and they had chocolates and strawberries out on trays! They also have a tea bar, which was a nice touch. The whole place has a very friendly vibe. My therapist was Ashley, and she was absolutely phenomenal. She put me at ease immediately, and her massage was sooooo unbelievably good. I was in heaven. I injured my neck a few days prior snowboarding and she managed to work it out. The soreness/stiffness was gone in a few days as opposed to a week or so, which is what it usually takes. At the end of my massage I was so relaxed I was almost asleep. I noticed the other day on their website that they accept insurance, which is something I'll be looking into so I can come here more often. I cannot say enough good things about Dreamclinic.

this place is fantastic for massages. i have been here on three separate occasions, with a different practitioner at each visit. i require really deep work - people get a little bit freaked out at how hard they can push on my shoulders without me cringing. that being said, i have been pleased with the deep tissue massages i've received at dream clinic. i am impressed by how thoroughly my medical history was reviewed with me and how i was given an opportunity to discuss what i wanted to achieve through massage. the rooms are private and clean, and the practitioners i worked with made me feel completely at ease. everyone i encountered was very professional and friendly and they do their best to accommodate your preferred appointment time. the prices are very reasonable, and they offer late appointments and weekends. i like that they are more about quality service than spa-like fluff. overall i appreciate this place for the comprehensive care and professional service.
