What's not to love? Drake's is not your typical sex shop. They sell erotic in a clean, well-organized store with friendly employees. This is the best place around to pick up videos, cards, books and toys. I love the way that erotica doesn't feel "dirty" here. This is a great place to shop if you enjoy sex and aren't ashamed of sex and sexuality.
They are also very supportive of the gay community. (I do charity work for the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives and Drake's has been hugely helpful to us.) I highly recommend this store.
Note: The Melrose store is a bit bigger, but the Santa Monica Blvd store has a great gay selection, so choose accordingly. -

Oh Boy!
I will make this one short and sweet, but if you need a few, um, uh "gadgets" shall we say to enhance your um, "bedroom antics" and um, you certainly don't lean towards the uh, "conservative" side of said "bedroom antics," then you should probably go here.
Filled with a very knowledgeable and definitely dressed in tune with the theme of the store staff, Drake's peeps are pretty good at not making you feel like a little lost kittan in a big scary sex store and their recommendations for those uh "gadget things" are usually dead on.
So for gadgets, gag gifts, ball gags and more, this is a great bet for a shopping trip well done!Listed in: Los Angeles Shopping

I have been coming here for years errrr passing by here for years.. haha.. anyhow like Andy S stated this is a much better place to get hmm errr the sock versus handing the 48 condom pack to Ethel at CVS.... I mean 4 pack...
This place does SURE have a lot of hmmm errr "devices" to relax at home some quiet night with your Rosie palm..
Anyhow the staff is very helpful and does not make you feel embarrassed when trying to pick up a hmmm errr 9" hmm nail set for a desperate friend hahaha -

Great selection! I am not afraid to say that sometimes, you can just do things to yourself better than someone else can. For those lonely (but adventureful) nights, Drakes is a great place to pick up a brown paper bag full of fun!
Prices are not the cheapest in town.
If you are too embarrassed to be seen going into an adult store, also not the place for you, as it is smack dab in the middle of Santa Monica Blvd.
