I like to come here for the hk stye noodles because its not too greasy and there's nothing quite like this in other Chinese fast food restaurants.  Other good items are the cha sew.  The only complaint i have is that one of the staff said "hurry up" to us when we were deciding. how rude!   Don't go here for the service or expect a fancy meal..go here for a quick, cheap, and large-portion bang for your buck!

This place is an unusual combination of Americanized and totally authentic (note the ducks hanging in the window). I actually only eat two things here: the sesame balls and the green veggies (xiao bai cai or whatever else is in season). Usually pretty fresh, and a bag is cheap. I don't like their other items because they use quite a bit of five-spice-powder or something that I don't like. Why four stars, then? Well...

- They're really friendly and know my husband on sight--he's "that white guy who likes bitter melon."
- Slightly unusual steamtable offerings such as bitter melon.
- Nice sesame balls.
- Pretty good green veggies, which we sometimes get to go with our Little Caesar's pizza when we're in a hurry.
- Ridiculously good value. Every time my husband gets a combo and I see the woman stuffing the box, I wonder how the heck she's going to close it. But she always does! I should weigh it sometime and see just how much they cram in there. Trust me, it's a LOT.

It's a hole in the wall, but it's good for what it is--especially if you do like their seasonings, as my husband does.

I've driven by this place several times since moving to Fremont but was always reluctant to try it.  Thanks to the yelp reviews, I mustered up the courage to try it and now LOVE this hole in the wall - The food is good and CHEAP, service is quick and great, and it's within walking distance to my house.  What more can I ask for?!

I've tried several dishes here and I haven't been disappointed.  It's about $5.25 for a two item combo meal that can feed 2.  The ladies behind the counter always stuff the to-go box to the max and can barely close it.  We've tried the HK Style noodles, fried rice, and chow fun.  As for the dishes, the eggplant, sesame chicken, and lemon chicken all are very good.  The other dishes are yummy too.    I've also had the wonton soup on several occasions - it's excellent!  The wontons are huge and have shrimp inside.  It's $3.95 for a large, which comes with about 10 wontons and some broccoli.

If you're lucky enough to have the owner take your order, she'll usually give you a sample of food or a sesame ball!

I'm going with 3.5 stars on this little place, but I'm going to bump up to a 4 just because you get so much food for low prices.  So you walk in and you're basically in a tiny place- to the left, maybe three tables and to the right, a steam table full of BBQ items and a large variety of different Americanized Chinese food.  The food comes in combinations of either two or three.  The combination of food you can get here are endless.  You can get staple items such as lemon chicken, garlic chicken, chicken and green beans, beef and broccoli, and black pepper spare ribs.  The base of these combinations are chow mein, chow fun, white rice, or fried rice.

I'm partial to the chow fun here, as well as the HK style fried thin noodles.  The other items aren't necessarily fabulous, but they do stuff the take-out containers so that a two-item combination can easily feed you for at least two meals.  Their lemon chicken isn't bad, but the breading gets pretty mushy by the end of the day.  My most favorite item is their won ton soup.  The won tons are well-stuffed with large pieces of shrimp and just taste really good.  You can get a huge container for around $5.

Overall, not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but the staff here are nice and patient while you are making your selections.  The won ton soup is really nice on a cold night and the other items are good for a fast, filling, and cheap meal.

We eat food from here at least once a week.  After we pick up a $5 Little Caesars pizza next door for our carb child, we buy a container of Hong Kong style noodle.  When we get home, gourmet gal (my 3 yr old) insists on shrimp and 'nooles.' I boil some shrimp in broth, blanch a few florets of broccoli, and voila, including our pizza, we have a $10 feast for everyone.

The lady (I'm assuming proprietor) behind the counter really stuffs the noodles in the container, and at $2 for the small and $4.25 for the large, you just can't beat the price.

These noodles are really tasty.  We served it with the extra veggies and shrimp, and our friends thought it was homemade because it wasn't greasy like typical takeout.

take out place -- no real menu ordering
kinda poor service.  was gonna give it 2 stars since mostly americanized chinese cafeteria style stuff, but they get an extra star for having pretty good cha siu and soy chicken with ginger sauce for a Fremont hole in the wall -- I'd recommend the 2 BBQ mixed plate for $5.75, that's about it.  (went up to $6.45?)
umm try to avoid anything that has been sitting out for awhile.
they are cheap and quick so I can see the reason for the popularity of this place
kinda reminds me of Ranch 99

How do you tell you're at a damn good Asian place?

I do what I call the white test. Pick the whitest friend you have, I mean we're talking picket fence, thought wasabi was ice cream the first time they saw it, probably named Tom or Sue,  white. Bring them to the Asian place and if they run screaming away within the first 5 minutes, you've struck gold.

My friend wouldn't even go inside and ended up eating pizza at the Little Caesar's next door.  ^_^

The food was cheap, greasy and tasty. I'd recommend the duck for those of you who can stomach the grease. Ask for extra sauce, bring it home with some rice and watch your cholesterol sky rocket.

Large amounts of food for minimal amount of money, you really can't go wrong... Unless you die, which from what I heard hasn't happened in a while.

This is a hole in the wall place where you just get to go food from.  Its cheap and they give you quite a bit.  I basically tried everything here and most of the stuff is pretty nasty.  Y do I keep coming back?  Well the only things that are NOT nasty are:

Empress Chicken - pretty standard you can't lose with that unless you don't like the taste of bland chicken.
BBQ Pork - its decent.  A bit on the hard side but its not bad.
Roast Duck - its decent.  Beats getting it at Marina or that place near Lions on Mowry.
Wonton Soup - pretty popular here.  I get it when I don't feel like making it.
Veggies - okay seriously I am even too lazy to make Veggies.
Tofu wrapped Chicken - I can handle that once in a while.

Everything else is nasty nasty nasty.  Its not Americanized yet its not Chinese either.  I am not sure what it is.  Panda Express can taste more Chinese than this.  Still I come here once a week at least to get one of the above to go.

Definitely a hole in the wall place.  Just your normal typical Chinese hot food place.  They have a combination of Americanized Chinese food and authentic barbacue items.   It's not the best, but it is definitely decent.  Take out is the best for this place and you get large portions.

And it definite beats Marina.

Cheap, big portions, tastey, chinese food.  It's always busy there.  This is not a place where you would take a date.  There isn't wait service and it's just a couple tables available.  Not a place for a group to eat.

I love their BBQ.  They offer BBQ chicken, pork and sometimes duck.  Yes the stuff is hanging in the window, a sign of an authentic chinese BBQ joint.

Quick, convenient, and spur of the moment chinese food goodness.  That's what this place has to offer.

My favorite Chinese take out place, ever. The portions are huge, and the food always to the heart. The service is always very friendly. The flavor of the chow-fun varies from day to day, but is usually quite tasty. Other favorites at this place are: Garlic Chicken, Salted Chicken, Eggplant, Sesame Chicken, Hong Kong Style Noodle, Chow-Fun, Won Ton Soup. The bbq pork run is quite good as well.
Great convenient place to pick up some last minute, good value dinner or a quick lunch.

A three-item combo with selections from the steam table is a good value at $5.25, but I think it's their BBQ items (char siu, roast pork, etc) that make this place a worthy place to get Chinese takeout.  Char siu (Chinese BBQ pork) is $5.95/pound.

They have a good selection of party trays at really low prices as well.

Bottom line:  Some of the food seems overly greasy, but it is cheap and fast.

So close to home, I can't resist coming here for the Chinese BBQ items.  Roast duck, roast pork, bbq pork, steamed chicken, soy sauce chicken, etc....they have it all.  Not to mention that they have a multitude of entrees just waiting to be picked out as part of a combo plate.  Their combo plates are gi-nourmous.  They literally weigh 5lbs after they pile it into the styrafoam container.  Choose from steamed rice, fried rice, chow mein, or chow fun, as your carb, and then pick between 1-3 items.  I think the 2 item combo is the sweetspot.  More than enough food for 2 people or 2 meals...you decide.  Not the classiest place, but this ain't a place for a dine-in experience.  It's very reminiscent of the take-out places in any Chinatown.   Just plain good 'ol Chinese food.

I love this place. It's like delicious ghetto Oakland Chinatown food, but in a tiny strip mall in Fremont, minus the gangstas. (Or so I think...)

The food is great Chinese BBQ style and my parents know one of the owners from our days living in da hood, so they always hook me up with something small. Nothing says love than a free fried chicken wing, right?

And they have this amazing Wor Wonton. Chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, bunch of other stuff and wontons. Plus they do ordering for special occasions. We ordered for a party my parents had, and it was perfection. For under 100 bucks you can feed 30 people and have left overs. So the value.

I have the privilege of working down the street from this little hole in the wall restaurant.  The food ain't too bad, especially when your really hungry.  Some of the items are so salty, that you can feel your blood pressure skyrocket after eating there.  The best thing there are the honey walnuts that they display on top of the food counter.

The funny thing is that I usually order the 3 item combo, and for some reason it seems to be a different price every time.  Sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive.  When I ask why the price is different, the response is either "special today", or "food get more expensive".

Most important advice for this place, Do not look into the kitchen as you will sometimes see some dead pigs hangin on meat hooks.  You will definitely lose your appetite after seeing that.

Otherwise, this place is not so bad if you are looking for a quick and cheap Chinese meal

Well it's Chinese fast food. But it's way better than Mr. Chow's or Panda Express. I go here on my lunch break sometimes. I usually get the fried flounder (sometimes it'll be soggy cuz it's been sitting there), the eggplant, and chow mein.
