I first went to Dr. Brachvogel 6 years ago. To be honest, I don't know why anybody would go to another dentist. In addition to being one of the nicest people you'll ever care to meet, he is really, really good at what he does: teeth.
...and the view of the flatirons from his office on Folsom isn't half bad either.
I have a long history of giving my dentists a hard time, both unintentionally (I have big teeth, a small mouth, a permanent retainer, gum grafts...) and intentionally (I once wouldn't open my mouth so they had to get out the big rubber-coated scissor-thingies to pry my mouth open. One of my prouder moments).
Since I started going to Dr. Brachvogel though, I have to say I've become a model dental patient. The folks that work at Dr. Brachvogel's are kind, patient and gentle. Just calling to make an appointment puts me in a good mood because Judy, the office manager, is so genuinely nice and happy that its contagious.
I also know that I'm getting the best care for my teeth. I don't feel like they see my insurance card as a blank check (unlike other dentists I've regretfully seen), instead, I feel like I get the dental care they would give their own family.
