Dr. Patt has been treating my family for years. He's the absolute very best. He is thorough, kind, empathetic and also efficient, treats you with respect and quickly gets to the bottom of what ails you so he can fix it. If he needs to take a little extra time with you, he takes it. If he needs to refer you to another doctor for more specialized care, you can rest assured that the referral is going to be to someone amazing. Plus my kids adore him. They have no fear of the doctor's office since we became his patients.
I am a country doctor's kid and I got used to great medical care at an early age. The "real world" of medicine was an ugly shock once I grew up and got out on my own. Dr. Patt totally offers the kind of personalized, caring medical care that I grew up with. We'll never see another doctor as long as he's practicing medicine in LA. Five stars all the way.
I am writing an update to my previous review.
I loved working with this Dr., however since then, working with his staff has been equal to two stars. They kept telling me they hadn't received faxes (which actually they had) and i was calling my other doctors to have them refaxed over and makign the doctors redo all the original paperwork (they were getting very annoyed).
Another time they said they would fax something to a dr that dr patt had referred me to. They didn't. When I called, she said they didn't know which pages i wanted faxed so they didn't send it. um.... ideally they would've called to ask me or tell me they hadn't faxed it.

I am not a huge fan of western medicine. i find most doctors overcharge, can be impersonal and barely spend time with you, oh and run late. Dr. Patt was none of these and was awesome. I met him for the first time this afternoon. He took me right no time- exactly- and was personable and generous and kind. He referred me to someone else for somethign and even had me call that doctor in his office. No doctors are so generous with their time!
I'd recommend him, for sure. and btw,I found him on yelp.

This is the absolute worst Doctor I've ever been to.
After an appointment it is nearly impossible to get hold of the Doctor; several phone messages were never returned even after leaving messages with the receptionist and on their voice mail.
After having blood tests they said they'd call with results within a few days; a week later I'd still not heard from them and had to call them. He took blood tests randomly, without notice in the afternoon and after I researched I found out that these types of tests need doing in the morning after fasting so the results would have been totally incorrect.
There was absolutely no follow up after either appointments, either with results, to research the problem further or to return umpteen messages I'd left.
It is the least caring, impersonal Doctor I have ever visited and I'd never go back. After both visits I was billed several times incorrectly for examination procedures I'd never even had. I'd have given no stars in the rating but you have to give at least 1 for it to process!
I read the bad reviews posted about Dr. Patt. I can understand why some would initially come to some of those conclusions. However, Dr. Patt has been my doctor for a couple of years now and I like him a lot. I'm NOT in the music industry at all and he takes his time when he talks to me about my injuries, etc. I find him kind, down-to-earth and a very good doctor. If I had a serious illness, I would totally trust him. I just don't think the little ailments his patients have take up too much of his concern. I've learned that if he's not concerned, I probably shouldn't be either. On the other end of the spectrum, when he notices I have something that could potentially be more serious, he meticulously focuses on my problem and either refers me to a specialist or helps me himself.
