Can't recommend her enough. I got a Friday morning appointment (WOW for her even having them!!!) and was in and out in under an hour. Yet, I still felt that my time with Dr. Shieh was long enough to handle my issue. She was very nice and very thorough.
Beautiful office in convenient location, very nice/helpful staff. She has a website (http://sherryshiehmd.com) where you can fill out your paperwork before the appointment.
I'm writing this review as I wait in the waiting room. It's now 4:41 and I had a 4:00 appointment-- wondering if I'll ever be seen.. Why they book appointments like this, I'll never understand. I don't mind waiting 15/20 min but 45/60 is just ridiculous. If I ever return, I know to arrive an hour after my scheduled appointment.
I was finally called back to the room at 4:55 PM.
The doctor was friendly and attentive. She checked everything that I asked her to, but offered little advice beyond information I already knew and didn't give me much advise about skin care in general. I felt like it was a waste of an appointment and of my time. I feel like she's a good doctor and informed (but just as informed as I am!). I came out of the office with as much knowledge as I went in with.
I definitely don't think she's worthy of 5 stars like most others have given her. If I didn't have to wait an hour to be seen, she probably would have gotten another star because you can tell she's a good doctor, I just didn't think she was ammmmmaaaaaaaaazing!
She also mentioned that you usually don't have to wait that long, just with the summer approaching she has a lot of new patients.
I went to Dr. Shieh after seeing these reviews on yelp to get a skin cancer screening. She was very pleasant and answered any questions I had. I had to go back to get a biopsy and she was very thorough explaining the procedure and the scar that it would leave and really tried to make me feel relaxed about it. Her staff is pleasant and professional. Both times I have been there I waited 10 minutes or less in the waiting room and 5 minutes in the exam room which is great in my book. A lot of times I sit waiting for 30 minutes in the waiting room then another 15 in the exam room. I have had a lot of bad and frustrating experiences with doctors (all kinds, not just dermatologists) the past few years and was relieved to have had such a good experience with Dr. Shieh.

She's very professional and patient. I showed her about 10 things to check out and she checked them each one thoroughly.
Highly recommend her!
When I need to get my botox on, I always want Dr. Shieh. I echo Jessica, professional, thorough, pretty easy to get appointments, and I never have to wait around. Staff is really nice and efficient. Some derms are more "cosmetic" focused - I think Dr. Shieh does both cosmetic and non-cosmetic equally well.
I highly recommend Dr. Shieh for anyone who is looking for a dermatologist. I had an abnormal "something" growing on my face and I went to see Dr. Shieh immediately. She was extremely knowledgeable and took care of my problem immediately. She knew what the issue was and took extra caution with my case. Her staff was extremely courteous and I felt like she really cared about the well-being of her patients (which is not always the case with physicans). Given that skin is something that is of paramount importance, I'm glad I went to see someone as knowledgeable and professional as Dr. Shieh. If you are looking for a good dermatologist - she is absolutely the person to see.
I was referred to Dr. Shieh by another doctor. I originally went to her on the east side and followed her to her Flatiron location, which is convenient. She's great. Really down to earth and personable and has a really great front desk staff. I always wait a little bit when i see her, but they're pretty good with staying on schedule. I also realize that she is very attentive and takes time to listen and discuss everything with each patient, so thumbs up all the way. A great find. I have had both cosmetic and general dermatology and was very happy.
