Jen has made my life significantly better.

I've had poor posture for a long time, mostly from sitting in front of a computer for hours a day (for years and years). Her care has helped my body become stronger and more resilient to the mistreatment I give it. And has even made me mistreat it (a bit) less.

If you experience back pain or high stress, you owe it to yourself to call her. Her technique is different than other chiropractors- there's no popping or cracking, just light touches. You'll swear she didn't do anything until the next day when you notice that you're standing up straighter and are generally more comfortable.

I was having minor back pain that was affecting my hip as well.   It took about 4 visits over the span of a month or so, but things loosened and I felt a lot better.  Sure enough I was soon exercising again and dropped a few pounds.  My mood improved and about a month after that I had quit smoking.  Did Jen do this?  Hell no, I did!  But, she sure did help!  Thanks Jen!!

A little while ago I was in a car accident and my spine was a twisted mess.  I was taking so much ibuprofen for a separate injury that I didn't realize the back pain until a month later.  Once I was off it, I couldn't even sit without pain shooting all through my ribcage.  I felt like my ribs were going to burst when I went in to see Dr. Jennifer.

She explained that she uses a gentle technique that helps your body remember how it's supposed to be aligned by contacting certain nerves in the back.  She doesn't crack anything into place because she says that is traumatic for the body.

I saw her and only her during my recovery process, and I felt amazing!  Even during the sessions on the table I could feel my body shifting back into place, elongating itself again, and my breathing stopped being painful.

I left with better posture than before the accident, and I felt stronger and learned how I am supposed to be standing.  I even lost weight too, which wasn't the goal, but I think it has something to do with having good posture and using the proper muscles to maintain my posture.  Plus I had so much more energy, and no more headaches.

Occasionally I will stop in for a readjustment, and I always leave feeling taller, stronger, and clear-headed.

Work through cricks and pain in your back - and if you are open to it emotional growth as well.  I think Jen is a great chiropractor - I threw my back out and after 48 hours was out dancing on friday night in 3 inch heels!!  It usually would have taken me 2 weeks to be back to normal.  Network Spinal analysis is a newer way to get chiropractic care - very powerful and provides great results, fast.  After I was cured she told me to STOP COMING!  That i was fine! ?  I couldn't believe it.  Now I see her once a month just to check in and learn more about myself and what she sees is happening with my body.  call her.

Dr. Skowlund has a different style of chiropractic medicine. It is very gentle and is all about results. She's not trying to rope you into a life of dependant care; she's trying to fix you. I forget what the style is called and it seems wierd because it is so gentle, but it works and that's all that matters.
