It's hard to find a physician and I found Dr. Cabebe on the El Camino Medical website. It sounds cheese but I picked her over other doctors who were accepting new patients because she was also from Irvine. And I was looking for a female doc.
For my yearly physical check up she asked me about all the medical history in my family and about me... It was a nice pleasant visit. It was like I was chatting with a friend.
She makes you feel very comfortable and answers all your questions.
Glad that I found her!
I despise going to the doctor.
I feel like they dont listen, and already have their mind made up about what's wrong with you, or not wrong...
Bad bedside manner.
Some don't seem to know what they're doing...
overall they act like they dont know who you are even if you've seen them many times before...
Dr. Cabebe has been the first Dr. I've ever come across that is the opposite. The first time i went i was with my girlfriend who dr. cabebe had only see once months prior and she remembered her! She's always remembered me as well...
She eases the tention of any appt by asking how i've been, small talk i know but is subtle and non intrusive to just break the ice.
She has always thoroughly and professionaly answered all my questions, and is always available to me when I call. They send her a msg and she calls me back right away, even with test results.
She seems like a concerned friend trying to make you feel better, her warmness shines through and I'd pay more through my empolyer to keep the insurance that allows me to continue to see her as my Dr.
It's hard to find doctors who make you feel like they care. I think I'll keep Dr. Cabebe. After 2 weeks of the flu and 1 week of bronchitis, I felt like I was going to die. Dr. Cabebe was a result of Eeny Meeny Miney Moe. I wasn't fond of the last doctor I had gone to, so I was weary. However, I did appreciate being able to make an appointment within only two hours of my calling.
Dr. Cabebe was very patient and quietly listened to me tell her about my symptoms, even though she probably didn't think it was necessary for me to describe them with so much detail. Our appointment was running late because of the previous patient, and she had another one right after mine, but she didn't rush our appointment at all.
I wanted a female doctor that was both young and experienced and most importantly, someone I felt comfortable with. Dr. Cabebe is all of the above. She's been practicing for about five years so you know she won't prescribe cough medicine for a sore leg muscle but she's still young enough that you don't feel like you're talking to Dr. Sue Johansen. I'm all for grandmas and maybe even grandma-like doctors, I just don't think I can go to one. Dr. Cabebe also makes notes about her patients' personal lives so she'll always remember to mention some book or concert you talked about in the past, even if your next appointment is more than one year later.
The Camino Medical Group, where Dr. Cabebe practices, consists of a set of doctors with various specialties. You sign in at the front desk, pay your copay and are directed to your doctor's window. There, you fill out more specific medical forms listing medications and allergies. I've always seen my doctor within a few minutes of my appointment time and they've always been very polite and efficient.
I saw Dr. Cabebe a few times and she always seemed very rush. The last time I saw her, she recommended some unnecessary tests (which did not have anything to do with why I went to see her).
She promised to call me back with the results, but never did and I had to call them a few times to get the results.
It was easy to schedule an appointment with Dr. Cabebe (hence 2 stars).
I saw Dr. Cabebe today and was incredibly impressed. She was helpful, kind, informative, and very professional. I have been to many doctors in my years and she is (by far) my favorite of them. She immediately addressed some issues I was having with my blood pressure, and then we spent about 15 minutes talking about my medical history. I was very impressed.
