Just had a baby and she is FAB!  Lindsey in her office used to be a midwife.  Very open minded MD.  Positive bedside manner.  Honest.  Highly recommend her!

Two years after my first review of my initial good impression of Dr. Joyce, I just wanted to update:   She has now been my doctor through one miscarriage and one perfect full term delivery.  I found her to be direct, communicative, and well-read and up on all the latest research.   She's not overly lovey-dovey -- more of a straight shooter kind of person --  but certainly empathetic and a good listener and never made us feel like our questions were dumb ones.  Always took time to explain  everything.  We really had such a great experience with her.  Love her, love Sequoia Hospital.  Will definitely continue to go to her. Even my husband loves her.  Lindsey and Ann and Dr. Chien are also great.

I have been her patient for several years.  She delivered my twins (without a c-section).  I had a relatively short and easy Labor & Delivery.  

She helped me through 2 difficult and high risk pregnancies.  Great bedside manner.  I highly recommend her!

The rest of the Drs and staff are wonderful too.

I did a lot of research and selected Dr. Joyce based on her med school (Johns Hopkins) and area of specialty.  She is confident, attentive and empathetic, and was a great doctor and cheerleader during my labor.

A good doctor, very competent, and the whole practice is good. All the Nurse Practitioners have been just great.  This clinic is right next door to a blood drawing lab, xray, mammogram facility too, which is handy.

Even though I have actually never talked to Dr. Beverly, I have talked to her PAs and another Doctor, Dr. Elaine Chien.

I fell in love w/Dr. Chien. She was amazing.  The older PA was also great, the younger one- not so great. I didn't like the way she belittled a "complication" with getting pregnant - like it was no big deal. It was a BIG DEAL to me.  She wasn't very sensitive to my issues.  So when I made my 2nd apt. I made sure to get one of the doctors.

As for Dr. Chien and Dr. Joyce - Dr. Chien was amazing. She really helped me and we have a "plan" of attack.  Even though I have never been to Dr. Joyce 3 of my friends have gone to her and all lover her.

Also - Sequoia hospital (where these Drs deliver) is the best! You get private rooms, unlike at Stanford.  This is one of the reasons I am going to Dr. Joyce/Chien so I can deliver at Sequoia.
