After a pleasant experience at the Wharf Rat (which is stationed right next door), some friends and I headed over to DSX to play some Golden Tee and have a few more beers.

They have a patio where you can sit out and enjoy the nice weather, but the patio closes around dusk.  So no night time hang out on the patio.  The inside was rather small and they did have quite a few TVs in the bar showing different football games.  I was pleased about that.  However, other than the Golden Tee, this place doesn't have that "it" factor that would make it a popular stop.

They do have a jukebox that is stock full of anything you want to hear.  From Weezer to Jay-Z, they have it.  The only bad part of the night was closing time.  I don't know how this even happens.  We were asked to play one final game and head out as they were closing down the bar.  I thought this was OK except for the fact that the guy didn't even work at the bar.  How is this acceptable?  Is he being paid to be a messenger for the establishment?  Weird.  What a sour way to end a night (and now a review).

Downtown Sports Exchange, or DSX, is an OK place to watch sports, an OK place to sit outside, and has an OK beer selection.  Yeah, it's just OK.  It's fairly small inside, some of the staff are very friendly, the others attempt to balance out the friendly karma by being miserable as sin.  Their beer selection is not lacking, but then really not impressive either.  I didn't try their food, so no comments there, although something makes me not want to try it.

They do have Golden Tee, which for this GT addict makes it worth the occasional trip for beers and a roller-ball workout, but with the Wharf Rat sitting next door, it's never going to win me over for the times when I'm looking for a pub meal.
