I came here in 2001 to celebrate my 21st B-day. That's right. I was completely bummed that they changed my favorite dance club 8 TRAX. They turned it into..... I don't know... Geriatric -Trax-
It had turned into something of a tacky rest- home- vibe with little old men running the joint. The memories I had here were PRICELESS. Dancing on that revolving dance floor to ALL 80's and 90's music was the most fun thing I had done in a long long time- and they went and ruined it, just in time for me big 21st. Boooooooooooooo.
Little old men aside (and I do mean old.... they were 85-95 trying to buy me drinks while trying to grab my ba-donk a donk) Thank gosh my bestie was there to ward them off with safe assured "we're lesbians" fake out story. Sure enough to have any group of gangling men run for the hills. especially older ones.
Last year, for my birthday- I came here to see The Rainforest cafe, because I'm a cheesy goofball and I love those types of animated places. It was cool- but all of PI was completely closed down and vacant.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Revolving dance floor- and a club that plays all 80's and 90's music--that alone deserves 4 stars.
Never set foot into the other places. they looked too 'sprink breaky' and they seemed to be too focused on drinking and boozing until you pass out with only your panties on. Never being a drinker, I was never drawn into the other places. -

Avoid "Pleasure Island"! Although it no longer cost extra to get in, it's still a dark and lonely "dead zone" in the middle of Downtown Disney.
Actually, while walking through there at 10:30pm one night, it was downright creepy. Sort of like finding yourself wandering down the wrong side of town and worring about the possibility of getting mugged by some ruffian cartoon mice.
Sad and empty bars, no real "clubs", and a pathetic assortment of restaurants. Eh.Listed in: M-I-C...K-E-Y...M-O-U-S-E !!!

It absolutely FLOORS me that all these people rate PI so highly! It really does. Because every single time I have gone here, I've been confronted with a swarm of drunken, OLD, nasty men trying to grab at me. Overpriced everything. Tourists and assorted others known not to hold their overpriced-liquor very well, and bad music.
People who live in the Orlando area know that this place sucks and will only go here if someone from out of town drags them here and/or they are already drunk.Listed in: Sorry You Suck So Much, You Don't Know What You Got…

Quoted from Wikipedia, the story of Pleasure Island as it relates to Pinocchio:
"... Pleasure Island serves as a haven for wayward boys, allowing them to act as they please without recrimination. However, the truer and more sinister purpose of Pleasure Island is eventually revealed as it begins to physically transform the boys into donkeys."
I couldn't think of a better explanation of Pleasure Island in the real world either. If you're here in Disney and you want to get drunk and he-haw yourself around with a bunch of other donkeys, then this is where you belong. The drinks are expensive, the experience is worthless, the feeling is overall slutty and grotesque.
One time, on a very lonely evening with friends I came here and pretended to be drunk (social experiment) 5 men attempted to "help me find my way home." Wow, how nice of them...
... I ran home, sober, safe, and STD free. Thank God for common sense. -

If a clubber's heaven was on Earth...it fell right here on this man made island in Walt Disney's World. OMG! On this speck of dust surrounded by a moat no less were a number of clubs...ranging from all kinds of genres of dance music, a night show, a comedy bar, and a long ice slide for shots.....an ice slide in the humid florida weather! Out of all of Disney's accomplishments I tip my hat to him for this one (ok he didn't design it but I imagine he must have been inspiration or something).
It looks like an old school theater with a main stage and decorations all over the wall. I was by the wall in the 3rd row minding my own business, enjoying the drinks with my sister and waiting for the show to begin. As the show starts and the comedians are doing their intros...the bloody phone on the wall next to my head starts ringing followed by a spot light on my dumb ass. With a cocked eye brow I look around and pick up the receiver and end up talking to the comedians on stage. Never had I felt like a lost child....they were asking me question and I awkwardly gave them my answers leaving me drained. In typical fashion my information was the weaved into an impromptu song for all to enjoy. As soon as I regained my nerves I ended up laughing at myself as well.
Can't wait to go back! -

My first inital visit to Disney World was in 1987 which Pleasure Island, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom never existed at that time as it were only Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
For adults who wish to dance and party the night away like you were 21 again, Pleasure Island is for you. I thought nightclubs in Orlando, FL would be different than New York with more upbeat vibes and the latest club music. Bouncers abide to state regulations of admittance of patrons to be 21 and above by inspecting valid identifcation. Pleasure Island has several nightclubs theme to genre of music and age groups as I came here on two separate visits in May 2000 and September 2004.
Pleasure Island Jazz Company, where my former love and I spent the better part of the night. We ordered something to drink and an appetizer which was baked rather than grilled taking longer to prepare. Little Mike & the Tornadoes were playing and while munching on appetizers as dinner for the night. The Rock 'N Roll Beach Club where a cover band were playing some Led Zeppelin which intriuged my former love a lot. We club hopped for about twenty minutes to Mannequins Dance Palace, the Adventurers Club, and 8 Trax which were all okay, except for 8 Trax.
I was not all that intrigued with Pleasure Island as it looks on the free Disney World vacation DVD. Disney nightclubs are just like another other typical nightclubs with hefty admission prices as well as alcoholic drinks of an average $19.00, thus big woohoo! -

If you're staying at Disney, or thinking about going to Disney, and you're concerned about a lack of being able to drink your face off and making some new friends (if only for a night), don't worry. Pleasure Island, although it has a super cheesy name, is a lot of fun.
There's a bar/club for most types of people. They even have live jazz and comedy, so it's not all about the young party crowd. If you're in a large group, it's also good because you can split up and do what you want, and since everything is close together it's easy to meet up afterwards. -

If you love boozing, dancing and people watching Pleasure Island is for you.
If you hate boozers, can't dance and hate people watching...don't waste you time or money. -

I love all things Disney World and Pleasure Island is no exception. Mannequins is the real show stopper in typical over-the-top Disney fashion. There is a giant moving dancefloor, an amazing lightshow and sound system, and friendly staffers! And not a screaming kid in sight! It's the perfect adult way to end your day at Disney.
Go on Thursday if you can, that is when the resort cast members get in for free and get reduced drinks. For the most part the last thing a cast member wants to deal with is another tourist on his night off--- but we found them all incredibly friendly.
Of course every time we go I hope to hook up with one of the acrobats from the Festival of the Lion King show-but it hasn't happened yet, dangit. Those little guys look limber.... -

All I can say is FINALLY! I was wondering why this was not done years ago. I really never understood the point of all those clubs in Disney. I LOVE DISNEY!

Hi im Disney.... im going to screw over 21+ people and close all of the clubs and bars... in its place im going to do nothing and then eventually open more stupid shops and expensive restaurants. Hooray!!
So sad they did this....oh well, I wont be going back. Downtown Orlando is the place to go. Better restaurants, more culture, and great bars. -

Okay, so it's been almost two spring breaks since I've been here, but I'm guessing that things haven't changed too much since? At least I'd hope not cause I had quite a pleasant experience. The reason why I'm yelping about it now than before is because I had a nostalgic convo about this place with a friend of mine today!!
We saw Cirque Du Soleil there (forgot which one), but it was breathtaking. We also walked Downtown disney and hung out around Pleasure Island. It was $20 for the wrist band (all-access pass to all clubs/bars). I think it's a fun place to hang out with friends and just relax. -

If you are a frequenter of Disney's Pleasure Island, you probably know by now that it is undergoing a fairly big change. After September 28, 2008, the doors to their nightclubs will close for good. No longer will Pleasure Island be seen as a place to dance the night away. It will now focus more on the families visiting Orlando and a completely "re-imagined Pleasure Island." For example, they will bring attention to their restaurants, current shops, and future ones.
One of the benefits of Pleasure Island is the variety of restaurants and eateries they feature. If you are craving gourmet cuisine they can help you out. Wolfgang Puck and Gloria Estefan both have put their stamp on restaurants there. Along with Planet Hollywood, House of Blues, Rainforest Café, Raglan Road an Irish Pub and Portobello Yacht Club. But if you want something quick, fun and casual, they have that as well: Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck's Express, McDonald's and a Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop.
If you have wallet full of money and would enjoy shopping there, they have a full range of gifts and items to be purchased. The LEGO Imagination store is great and has a few incredible LEGO statues in front for your viewing pleasure or should I say amazement. There is a Harley Davidson store, a Virgin Megastore and Goofy's Candy Company among many other Disney related and non-related shops.
There is also a Cirque du Soleil La Nouba gift store which coincides with this production. If you would like to see a Cirque show while you are in Orlando, this is the place to go.
Even though the nightclubs will be no more, I still believe it will be an Island of Pleasure for those who are visiting. -

Disney for adults. Clubs galore - the only problem is, which one to go to? Something for everyone. We went on a night that was rainy, so there weren't a lot of people, which is fine with me. Good selection of special drinks - I like the girly stuff.
There's also a comedy club. Nothing like a bunch of drunk people laughing off the alcohol. -

Behind the cover charge, you find entertainment for adults only after dark. Live entertainment, entrance to all the dance and comedy clubs, and lots more. Manniquins sticks out in my mind with the elevator entrance to the 3rd floor overlooking the revolving dance floor. Yes, there is a huge, round, revolving dancefloor with a great light show and top dance music from the clubs of NYC. Catch a perch near the entrance to the dancefloor and watch the people jump on and jump off.
Update: Oh, I feel silly, I just received a note that all the clubs are closed and pleasure island is under reinvention. So just scratch everything I just wrote. -

here is a place where you will dance the night away or until 2am, that sux if your a new yorker and know that most club and bar close at 4am
but there is a differs, here you get a ticket that let you in to all the clubs in one night, and in the city it's only one club, and dink stops are all over the place, let me tell you, I'm happy Disney have those free bus to take you to your resort, because i would have never made it back.LOL, also don't forget to stop by planted Hollywood and there other restaurants and comedy clubs. -

I saw LL COOL J in concert a few years back in the main square of P.I....how can you not give 5 stars for "going back to Cali"? Plus it was FREE for service industry folks....bartending downtown actually paid off for once....

ALWAYS a good time. Whether you're wandering the street bars or inside a club...(the drinks are less expensive INSIDE if you believe it..TRUST ME)...whether in a dance club, comedy club or a club for Adventurer's..you are BOUND to have a good time.
It seems I always meet the greatest people there and sometimes see people from home! (ODD)
I LOVE Adventurer's Club...it's a place to go if you just want to relax and have some drinks and a few good laughs. The comedy club is usually pretty good..it's all "Who's Line" type comedy..improv stuff. I LOVE dancing at Mannequins (spinning dance floor) or Motion...8 trax is nice on 80's only night but I don't like disco so it's not really my thing.
Thursday nights you can get in half off if you go with a cm who is nice enough to buy yer ticket. Thursday night is also gay night at Mannequin which my friends I was traveling with were sure happy about!!!
I miss it : ( -

This place is brilliant! It's like disneyland for drunk adults who wanna dance. I'm not even sure how many night clubs there are but you basically purchase a pass that allows you into all of them. You decide if you want to dance to House, Dance, 70's, 80's, Hip Hop, etc and then pick the dance club. We only made it to the 70/80's and Hip Hop Clubs but it was fantastic! Very very large nightclubs and all in one spot. Perfect place for large groups, especially those groups that can't decide on the type of music they like.

I cannot believe no one has reviewed this yet. This is the ultimate club party place in the country!! If you get a year pass, you can bring a guest for free on Fridays (I think it is Friday). Mannequins is a must stop for everyone. 8 Trax has the best lifesaver flavored shots! They are either an 8 Trax exclusive or a WDW exclusive! PLus, you get to celebrate New Year's Eve every night!! What more do you want?

Who knew Disney could do "bad" so good. No kids here, just adults acting very badly. Good times! With 3-4 dance clubs one one short street, this gives you plenty of options. Street drink vendors are everywhere. Shot luges (those ice blocks they pour shots through) are a truly nice touch. Tons of great fuzzy memories. If you are anywhere in Orlando this is a great option.

We had a BLAST there, no seriously i am glad it is all the way across the country cause if it wasn't it would bring me into a whole new realm of lushdome. It was mine or should i say our first party night out since havin' the rugrat, sure miss the club scene..... well some things about it.
All the booze you could ever dream of along with every type of music to shake your thang to ?? Plus they serve drinks in beach buckets, what more could you want ??!! Seriously
We started at the Adventure Club i wanted to stick around and take in the show all while getting my buzz off to a good start but our group wasn't fellin'' it so off we went. Had to pop in to the Pretzel place real quick to get my girl Dee a snackey-poo so she wouldn't be drinkin' on an empty tummy. While she was waiting on her twisted fry'd dough i was attempting to make a fool of myself with the NASCAR car that had displayed out front. Lucky for me the guy who was supposed to be watching the car was distracted by some teeny boppers. So while they where exchanging myspace info i hopped right up on the hood of that car.... Emmy was that you that took the pic ???
Next stop was 8 Trax it was like we stepped back into the 70's even tho i really don't remember much of that time. We danced to a few songs, they played some Madonna wich didn't fit in but was fun. They started to play some funky muzak and there where some creepy gawker guys so we moved on to the next club,
Mannequins, loved. Loved, LOVED the rotating dace floor..... made us feel like we had way more to drink than we already had (is that possible?) David (the hubby) & Tracy (my hottie friend) got their birthday spankin's right in the middle of that big'ole dance floor. Best part i think is about every 30 min they did this thing where the shot down supper cold foggy AC air for about 60 seconds onto the dance floor. No more sticky sweaty hair stickin' to my neck from shaking my thang a bit to much.......WOOT !!!!
Next stop the BET Club, this was to much fun. They took my requests for the birthday peeps but only played one *sniff* i will never forget the comedy presented to us by the workout girls, you two are way too much fun *heart* you lots *wink* i think that is where i did the most dancin' as my ghetto booty shakes a bit better to those tunes.
Last on our stop was The Beach Club. We ended up there because we noticed some people walking around with drinks in little beach buckets. My mind was set... i must have one of those drinks that i can sip out of a bucket. Forget witch one i got as you had your choice of 5 or so types of drinks but i got the one with the Amaretto in it and was very nummy. The live band was off the hook, boy could that guy jam on the guitar. When the band took a break they had a DJ play some music that was way to much fun dancing to. Then the Bacardi girls came on stage with there freebies they where tossing out to the crowd. Having just mended from breaking my toe i was no about to get all up in that mess so i made my way up to the very front of the stage and asked (screamed to) the purtty girl throwin' out the shirts if i could perhaps acquire one. Her response "What ya gonna do for me honnay" and like any respectable woman with 36DD's would do i flashed her.
That shirt sure makes an awful comfy nighty.
Took a couple calls from my girl St. Helena who so wanted to be partying it up with us that night but was stuck DD from Cali, then decided we needed to get our grub on and head back to the room. The other half of our party went to the last club Motions, guess i will have to check that one out as i heard a good time was had by all. Especially a certain group of young hotties that got accosted by a certain GF of mine *wink* -
Review from Dan B.
This is a fantastic place to go clubbing. The variety of clubs there is just astounding and you won't find this kinda thing anywhere else. Why go to downtown Orlando where every club is PACKED to the brim and you can't even walk when you can come here and have space, good music, good variety, and good drinks. The biggest problem is the price on drinks, but if you've got money or a pass to this place, it will be alot of fun. The rock 'n roll surf club is one of my favorites followed by 8trax. I'm not too huge a fan of the hip hop one, but I like the music. They also have a comedy club, an Irish pub, a cigar bar, and alot of places to just chill. If you come out with the right people who like to dance and have a good time, you will have a blast here. Don't bother with crappy downtown with no parking, dumb monkeys running around everywhere, bad music, and employees with attitudes, come here to have a classy but above all, fun time.
