What a blast! I'm a novice and am taking a Swing Dancing 101 with my girlfriend. The instructors (Jared and Lindsay, I think) did a great job helping us learn the intro to swing dancing.
Very fun atmosphere and looking forward to our next class.
We are meeting in the Core Studio next to Raging Burrito. -

If you want to learn how to swing dance, look no further. Easy to find, easier to sign up, and it's been a joy to learn, and I look forward to continued learning.
Four classes a month, you can pay-per month, or per-week just to sample. It's simple to do, and the classes are fun, not over-crowded, and the teachers are all wonderful.
It's a lot of fun, and if you are into, or are interested in getting into swing dance, Down South Swing is a can't-miss. -

I really can't say enough about this place. Every teacher I've had has been nothing but fun, and because of that I feel like I've learned a lot faster.
I honestly can't put into words how happy I am after each and every class. If you want to do something super fun just pay to go to one class and you'll be hooked!

History
Established in 2004
Originally founded by Peter Zellner, Joel Domoe and Ben Lovelace, Down South Swing was created to provide superlative dance instruction and performance as well as community building and outreach opportunities.
In January 2009, Evin Galang stepped in as Director and has developed an exciting curriculum of classes, specialty intensives, inspiring workshops and outreach programs.
We continue in our founders' vision with group classes, student-run practica, school programs, in-service training, partnerships with Hot Jam Swings and ASEDA as well as our sister organization, Swingin' From the Heart, a volunteer organization bringing the joy of dancing to seniors and assisted living facilities all over the Metro Atlanta area.
Ultimately, it is the goal of DSS to save the world...one swing dancer at a time!
Meet the Business Owner: Evin G.
Evin has been teaching and performing Lindy Hop and other Swing Dances for over a decade, bringing the love, excitement and "ooomph" of dancing to countless students and audiences.
Evin has had the honor and privilege of teaching around the U.S. and Europe, and has used these opportunities not just to instruct, but also to continue her ongoing dance education. She brings this wide experience to every class, helping her students find their own personal connection to the dance.
Evin's main love is social dancing, but she has thrown her hat into the competitive arena a few times. It proved to be a good venture, she has placed or won in almost all of the competitions she's taken part in, including ULHS (Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown), ALHC (American Lindy Hop Championships), and NADC (North Atlantic Dance Championships)
