Looked a lot nicer online... this place was booked and probably would have been the most convenient consider part of the Creighton Med. School celebration festivities were held here.  We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street and that felt a lot cleaner but maybe because it is newer or at least it felt like it.

Solid hotel, we attended the Senior Banquet in the Grand Ball Room.  Good times and so many lovely memories.  The DJ wasn't lovely but that was probably not organized by the hotel so I won't judge... however I was super impressed with the catering...guessing ti was done by the Doubletree Hotel.  I lucked out and although half the table ordered the steak, I definately got the best cut and it was cooekd to perfection.  That was the first and only meal that I completed during my trip there...heck it was my frist full meal in a whole month!  It's been rough lately, I've been prefeing a liquid diet.

Parking is a little pain in the butt, the hotel lot is kinda akward however the location of the hotel is pretty central to downtown.  Oh and the bathrooms... they need more...especially near the Grand Ballroom!!!  the one next to the event was packed at all times so I went upstairs and I found one that was locked (it is supposed to be kept locked...?) and another one that only had a few stalls that a few others had found from the Sr. party as well.  If it wasn't packed I totally would have slipped into the men's bathroom.... I know... so classy Shiho!

Behave.

I have stayed at several hotels while traveling for business, and I have to say this is one of the top 5 worst hotels I have stayed at. the entrance and main floor of the hotel are beautiful and it would make a nice place to host a ball or formal dinner. However, do not have anyone stay in the rooms. The room are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. But, the room have very poor lighting, the air conditioner / heater do not work well, and the bathroom fit only one small person.

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding, and trying to get ready in the morning was a disaster. We are both very slender people and we couldn't both be in the bathroom at the same time. Not to mention my husband had to scrunch down in the show just to get the water to rinse his hair. The decor and couch look like they have been the same on since to late 70's. I wouldn't go sitting on any of them.

The hotel doe not have valet parking and makes you pay to park in the garage next to it. However if there is an event going on downtown at all you are not guaranteed a parking spot and the next closest place is a block away. Not to mention you have to pay more out of pocket for that parking.

All in all, if you are not worried about anything besides a comfy bed then you will be just fine. However, there are several other choice with comfy beds just down the street and for a lot less money.

I will not tell you the name of the hotel I am reviewing, but there are two trees involved.

Many hotel restaurants are pretty sub-par, but the Doubletree not only offers a nice place to stay, but the food at the restaurant is top notch.  If you pay attention to news on things like the Outland Trophy Dinner or where many of the Fortune 500 companies in Omaha have their dinner parties, you'll notice a pattern that consistently utilizes the food services of this fine hotel.

In terms of the total package: nice hotel amenities, excellent food in the hotel and location, you can't beat the Doubletree.  Unless you can find a Quadruple Tree.  In that case, I'd stay there.

Got a deal through Hotwire on this hotel and overall it was a pleasant experience.  The hotel itself is a bit dated but the staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was good if you are looking to head to the Old Market area.

Was a package deal; attend the banquet, get reduced rate on a room. The banquet, I felt, left a lot to be desired; no water refills all night; you had to steal someone's glass to get more. The starter salad was wilted. Each table was rationed a small gravy tureen of dressing; when that was gone, there was no more. From what I heard around me, the chicken was awful. I had the salmon, and it was actually quite good. The prime rib was average, I heard. The coffee was good, but the dessert table was under portioned; not that many people like carrot cake; by the time I got in line, that was all that was left. There were 2.5 bars, and all, I felt, were tended in a sub-par fashion. Having been behind one many times, I felt things were lacking there in every way. Suffice to say I only felt safe ordering wine. The bartenders themselves were very friendly - just the bartending itself that I found lacking. The DJ was pretty bad, but that may have had nothing to do with the Hotel. The room was small, but I felt it was very clean. I liked having a modern digital thermometer for my room. It got to the temp I wanted, and stayed there. At the cost of every ounce of moisture in the air. While the bed was very comfortable, I had a hard time sleeping because the air was so dry; I couldn't breathe. No way to run the fan only (for sound); it was all or nothing. All the amenities in the room were nice. A 'fridge would have been good, though. The shower was good-sized, but there was very little water pressure, or hot water (no matter what time). $4.99 for a bottle of water seemed a little steep, too. The downstairs bar was small, but comfortable. If it had been farther away from the lobby doors (which didn't close fast enough), it might have been a better place to linger, though. All in all, I have to say that I was not impressed enough to go back.

Had to be here for training.  Was very convenient to our training location across the street but other than that, just an average hotel.  The rooms are decent and clean but they seem kind of old.  The walls are kind of thin.  You can hear everything from the adjacent rooms.  The noise from the next door's AC was very annoying and the crash from the ice machine every 20 minutes kept me up all night until they fixed the door on the ice machine room.  The beds are fairly comfortable.  The bacon from the breakfast buffet is really good though I'm not sure I'd pay the $11 or so, if it wasn't included in our package deal.  You have to pay extra for in room internet, (though they have free wifi in the lobby), parking, and $4 for a bottle of water in the room that my BF opened by accident.  Some of my classmates had more problems than I, such as water not draining from the bathtub, smokey smelling rooms, a cracked window, and excessive noise, enough to switch hotels.  But I thought it was OK.  Tolerable.  Only 4 more days until I can go home.  Yay!
