I had a great stay here during a biz trip.  They greeted me with one of the infamous cookies, and kept them coming when I got a nasty gram from my boss during the trip, and I needed and emergency cookie.  I needed to get some documents copied [less than 100 pages], and they got the docs copied, delivered the originals to me and the copies to another guest in less than 30 mins.  Room service was quick [I was still in my towel from my post airplane shower!!!!], and accommodated all of my specials requests.

If you arrive off times, don't hope for a shuttle.  The location is great.  It's close to several businesses and the freeway, for greater exploration.  There's a little gift shop on the first floor, and a bar with tv's for watching sports and having a cocktail.  They do sometimes do conferences here, so you might be able to snag some free swag!

If all hotels had staff like this, travel would be a lot less stressful.

Yikes - cheesy and not politically correct.

1. when we checked in we were quoted for double queen room - when I asked for a disability room... the price for a double queen jumped up by $10.  not until I complained did the lady reduce the price to the regular quoted room price.

2.  in a world of free wifi they proudly charge $5 per day for WiFi, I could have it free if I wanted to sit in the lobby though... SERIOUSLY guys, I have been on a great road trip, lots of hotels and double-tree is the ONLY to not offer free WiFI internet.

Honestly the room is nice, the hotel nice and fine, the restaurant is lacking and somewhat boring in the menu, I was not even going to say anything about the room charge until I realized they also dinged me for internet... so this is a $5 yelp.

They explained that the reason for the more expensive disability room was because the only one left was on a higher floor, that really don't help walking impaired much. I still think it is cheesy to up the price when you have just quoted a price. - even more cheesy is that I would never have known if I had started by asking for a disability room, then they would simply have charged me an extra 10 bucks for the pleasure of the hand-rail in the shower and bathroom.

EEK! - Methinks NOT..!   Next time in Grand Junction Im trying another hotel and I am avoiding double tree from now on.  Sorry guys no votes from me.

We stayed here last weekend when we flew out for the Colorado Wine Fest.  Easy check in (a line formed behind us though.) and the requisite cookie.  Nicely sized, clean room with king bed and lots of pillows.  Being a fan of nearly rock hard foam pillows, we placed an order for a better one for me and they delivered.  The only drawback was the odd hours of the restaurant.  They had a just okay breakfast bar, but watched as at least 5 groups of people approached the stand and were told unapologetically at 11AM that lunch didn't start serving until noon.  Some people left, some came and waited it out.  Odd.  Their grounds looked great with golf, pool, hot tub, volleyball but we didn't make it out there.  Good wifi, express checkout, friendly staff.
