Clean, quiet, comfortable at $139 a night plus 12% tax. This Doubletree did a fine job as my home-away-from-home for six nights in Aurora. My room was at the very end of the hallway and I'm guessing that my status as Hilton Gold upgraded me to a slightly bigger room. In addition to the TV and mini-fridge, there was a small wet-bar area where my coffee maker was located. (One of those single-cup pod things with Wolfgang Puck coffee.) The bed was comfortable with a good selection of pillows and the heavy drapes blocked out most of the morning light so I could sleep late. Good view facing northwest, I could see the Denver skyline and the Rockies.

The desk was plenty large to spread out all of my crap on and even though I left a few tempting things there, including a couple of dollars in coins, nothing was disturbed or moved. Every day that I came back to the room, I was very pleased with the condition and the well made bed. Only once did they not understand my towel hanging over the towel rail and replaced it. A very minor detail.

The breakfast buffet is decent - scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage, plus a selection of breads and pastries, fruit and yogurts. This was also free to me as a Hilton Gold.

It was a good room and I would stay here again if I'm in town. The only thing that keeps it from being four stars is the very high price for Internet service. At $13 a day (it would have been $78 for my week-long stay), I continue to be happy that I have a Verizon WWAN Card. I still don't understand why the more expensive full-service properties don't include this amenity.

Breakfast Buffet here is good.

However, they say they did a complete renovation here, and yet the rooms still smell like smoke, and the air/heat unit is older than I am.   Wasn't a fan.

I'm always comfortable when I stay here in Denver on business travel.  I love receiving the free warm cookies and bottled water that are given to you when you checkin.  Their breakfast buffet is excellent as well.
