My husband and I went to Houston on an overnight trip from Austin, and booked this hotel through http://hotwire.com, and we scored a serious steal. We didn't even know how well we did until we arrived. The hotel is beautiful, highly secure, with a dedicated parking deck.
We had a beautiful suite. The bed was a delicious, huge white monstrosity. The staff members were very polite and helpful. We didn't try the hotel restaurant, so I can't comment on that. My favorite part of Doubletree Guest Suites is that they had a series of secret passages to the Galleria Mall, so, had the day not been so lovely, we could have avoided bad weather by not going outside and going through the tunnels directly into the mall.
