I like this Doubletree...maybe it's something about those warm cookies they give you when you check-in...Mmm! I would say this hotel is most fitting for the Business Traveler at best.

LIKES:
-FREE COOKIES
-Room is very nice, fluffy bed. Neutrogena toiletries
-Recommend Queen 2-room suite, which has a mini fridge and microwave, separate living room area...a desk for setting up the laptop.
-Business center (complimentary use of computer)
-Friendly service.
-Denny's is across the street.
-Walking distance to the Convention Center (good exercise!...cut through the parking lots)
-Parking is close to the hotel.

DISLIKES:
-$11 for daily parking (boo!)
-On-site (fancy) restaurant is kinda pricey...but, the food is pretty good.

Sometimes you can get a really great deal here with advanced booking for slightly less than $99 a night (in the Disney off-peak  season and if there is nothing going on at the Convention Center).

Mmmmm, warm delicious cookies....

This is easily a three star experience - comfortable enough hotel rooms, modest pricing, shuttle to Disney, etc...

Normally I wouldn't be so quick to downgrade a place that provided me with comfortable enough lodgings for a week, but, there were a couple of incidents here that really got under my skin.

First, I hate when the housekeeping staff go through your things. It's one thing for them to try to keep you organized, it's another entirely to come home at the end of the day to find your makeup bag unzipped and completely emptied out, or, the piles of clothing you'd organized on the second bed in the room (and hidden valuables in), completely taken apart. The makeup bag was one thing, "ok," I thought, "the housekeeper is a little OCD and wants to get all of my stuff organized. Weird but whatever." But when I came home one day to find that my clothes, which were on a completely made bed that didn't need to be touched, had been rearranged (and some valuables that I'd hidden in the laundry taken out of their hiding place), I got pretty weirded out.  Maybe the housekeeper had OCD, but maybe, just maybe, she was trying on my stuff. Uncomfortable.

But that I could overlook - nothing was missing, which was fine.

The real thing that knocked off the last star was my experience with room service. I was shocked that a $300 a night hotel employed a chef who was absolutely adamant about not making something off the menu for a guest with food allergies. Luckily the gentleman who answered the phone was at least flexible enough to suggest a larger salad and accomodated my request for a baked potato (for $28!). To add insult to injury, when my meal arrived, there were pats of butter and an order of cheese bread on the side. So much for caring that your guest has a dairy allergy.  I guess that's why this particular chef is handling the room service kitchen at the Doubletree...The best part of my meal was the box of cookies I paid for at the convenience store in the lobby.

All in all it's not a terrible place to stay, but personally, I would not book a room there again.

So the Disneyland Hotel was super super expensive and definitely not worth it if you don't have children dying to go there.  So we decided to stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites.

The good:
-Nice touch, with the warm cookies in the room.  I didn't eat them because I'm trying to stay away from sweets so I don't know how good it was, but nice touch.
-At least there was a gym in the place, not the largest gym, (ie. maybe 4 cardio machines) but at least there was a gym.
-The bed was fluffy and comfy.
-The staff is super friendly.

The not as good:
-Um suite?  More like, room with a sectioned off sleeping area.  It was REALLY cramped in there for what we paid for a "SUITE".  Technically it was a suite, since there was a room for the two full sized beds but the two full sized beds were in the same room,  and then there was a sitting area.
-The toiletries were the stuff you get at Walgreens.  I was expecting some nicer stuff, or at least don't name the brand.  LOL.

But all in all, the hotel did a decent job at making it a nice stay and I really shouldn't complain.  It was nice, I was comfortable.  And for the price, it was a fair deal.

I definitely would come back again next time and stay here over paying an arm and a leg for the Disneyland Hotel, anyday, it was close enough to everything and it was nice enough and super convenient.

DoubleTree is owned by Hilton. Embassy Suites is owned by Hilton.

Embassy Suites, which sort of invented the 2 room suite business hotel concept some 40 years ago or so, now has a large chain of suite hotels with large atriums in just about every American City.

Getting jealous, Double Tree has their version of the Suite Hotel, Double Tree Guest Suites, as they are called.

This one is pretty new and clean, less than 3 years or so. It is not too far from Disneyland on Harbor Blvd. You could walk or take the shuttle to the Magic Kingdom. There is an Embassy Suites just a block away.

The rooms aren't quite full 2 room suites like Embassy, but they are roomier than your average hotel of this cost (with all taxes, about $170.) The Atrium lobby is also a lot smaller than most Embassy Suites, too.

The room is big enough to bring your kiddies and have them in the living room's foldout couch, but don't get too frisky with your significant other at night,  because there isn't that much privacy between the two rooms of the suite.

I checked in late on evening and the staff was very friendly.

First of all, did anyone ever stop to think about how they came up with the  name "Doubletree"?   I imagine that some guy with hospitality in his mind strung a hammock across two trees so passersby could grab a nap in the shade of the trees.  Anyway,  the hospitality continues.  There's not much more that I could say to add to other reviewers, but I can ditto them.  The warm cookies at checkin continue to surprise and delight so I hope that continues.  The lobby is quite nice and the elevator service was quite good and never made me wait. The maid service was good as she refilled the amenities when they were used.  Also, we noticed the Neutrogena brand and found it quite pleasing.  The outlets in the rooms were quite pleniful and the desk was useful, overall the suite setup was very comfortable. Staff was good from pre-reservation to check out. When I called shopping for a hotel they were real good about explaining the parking situation and the walk to Disney. BTW we walked it twice and it's just a bit more than a mile to walk to main gate on Harbor from Doubletree.  I would rate the location as "good" for the convention center or Disney, but there are better locations for families who prefer to be near the gate. However, Doubletree was a good combination of great room and good location and my res on Priceline was reasonable even though hotel appeared quite occupied.  Recommend you stay here.

We've had hits and misses with hotels around Disneyland but after staying here last week - Doubletree will definitely be our hotel when in town!!!

First of all, their customer service via the 1-800 was very courteous and knowledgeable.  There was a glitched when we made the reservations online so we had to contact their 1-800 number.  Turns out we got a better deal ($84 for a suite!) doing that.

Some hotels charge for an extra additional adult in the room (with 2 adult max) but not at Doubletree which was a bonus since we had more adults traveling with us than kids.  We got 3 rooms one right next to each other for a GREAT deal!!  Note to self:  request for a view of Disneyland side next time, and not of ARCO across the street! :)

The warm chocolate chip cookies were so good, and they weren't hesitant to give us more when the kids wanted some the next day!

The rooms are spacious - not too small, not too big.  The bathroom is huge!  The toiletries are Neutrogena - not some no-brand name like other hotels offer.  There is also an on-site laundry if you need to do quick laundry.

The cafe downstairs seems like they are contracted by Starbucks and offer Starbucks drinks -- selected few though.  They also offer breakfast sandwiches, donuts, pastries.

This was definitely a great place to stay!

In a recent trip to Dland we stayed at the DoubleTree which was OK, nothing out of ordinary, we'll probably try it again. Or not. It's clean, quiet, convenient, standard furniture, nice staff. Parking is extra 11$ a day, the shuttle to Disneyland another extra.

We used some Hilton Honors points I had collected over the past year to stay at this place on a recent trip to Disneyland.

It was quite nice. We arrived very late - like after midnight - and they had our reservation, including the keys, all ready for us so we didn't have to hassle with anything. They even supplied us with a few warm cookies for a late night snack.

The room was a little bit on the small side and the bathroom was huge, but both served it's purpose for the night. The bed was comfortable enough.

It appeared that they place had just gone through a major renovation, as it was very clean and everything looked brand new.

The first time I stayed here, we booked late for a convention and ended up here.  I got to stay here one of the first weeks it was open, and have been back a couple of times since.

The rooms are great and the lobby area / restaurants are very warm and appealing.

Our stay at this hotel was rather brief but the stay was enjoyable and the rooms were clean.  Room was more the size of a standard hotel room than a "guest suite" but they do offer a higher proportion of larger rooms.   This hotel is just a bit out of walking distance from Disneyland and sidewalks on Harbor are a bit dark before getting here so parking at Disneyland or taking the shuttle might still be a more a more viable option.   For first time visitors to Disneyland, they do have a Disneyland Welcome Center on the premises.  Their business center has five computer terminals and I appreciate that they have that many (most hotels usually have one or two maximum).

I am giving this place a four star rating because our last night there, I was trying to break a hundred dollar bill and no one could do it. Other than that experience, the stay a great. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and informative about the questions that we asked. The rooms were always clean and beds properly made. The housekeeper would even put our daughter's bear on the bed with the pillows. The location was fairly close to the entrance of Disneyland and California. We drove and parked each time we went. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay, the only reason that I am giving them a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because on my last day there, my wife and I went to breakfast, came back and the gate wouldn't open.  They told me that since the gate opened automatically when I left, that the computer thought my car was still in the lot.  Other than that experience, the beds were always made, the towels replaced, and the room was very clean.  The location is outstanding.  The hotel is close to anything you need to do in Anaheim.  Disneyland is just down he street, Angels Stadium, and the Honda Center are just an 8 minute drive away.

Very nice suites.  I stayed here on a business trip recently and had a very pleasant experience.  The suites were good-sized and had very comfy king-sized bed, and a number of pluses including a cute little coffee pot that can brew 2 individual cups of coffee side-by-side at the same time (I want one!), refrigerator, microwave.  I also love that they had Neutrogena hair and skin care products in the bathrooms!  Another nice touch was that a warm cookie is provided to you at time of check-in!  Love it!!!

The only downside for me is that the windows in the suite don't open at all - not even a crack.  I really hate not having fresh air in hotel rooms.

I *heart* warm cookies, and that is why I *heart* Doubletree Hotels.
After having such a great experience at the Berkeley property (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) I had no qualms about checking into the Anaheim location. Talk about consistent quality! Same great service, a nice room with that oh-so-comfy bed and as many cookies as I wanted.

We have stayed here twice for Disneyland trips.  This is a very nice, newer Doubletree--the posted pictures are wrong I believe.  Click on the website link to see the pictures of this particular location.

We paid under $120/night both times we stayed (weekends) and one weekend in February was actually under $100.  The ART shuttle bus that takes you to Disneyland picks you up right in front.  It  was pretty reliable and very convenient in case you want to go back to your hotel for a break.  You can buy tickets for the bus at the front desk.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable--especially love the bed!  I slept like a baby!  The hotel staff were all very friendly.  We love the chocolate chip cookies they give you at check-in...yummy!  Ask nicely on your way out and they will give you another. :)

The only downfalls to this hotel is that you have to pay a daily parking fee and no free breakfast that many other hotels on Harbor Blvd. offer.

We selected this hotel for our Disney trip back in Sept.  We stayed here for 5 days and ended up in a 2 double bed suite.  I loved this hotel!

It was incredibly clean.  I travel quite a bit and I have to say this is a super clean hotel.  The maid service is impeccable.  I swear they clean every square inch of that place.  I take rubber flip flops whenever I travel and never take them off, I call them my hotel shoes.  This place I would dare to take them off.

The bed was comfortable.  It had the right level of softness and the linens were nice.  I also loved that there was a living room area that was away from the bed area.  We could put our daughter to bed early in the evening but lounge around the living room area until we were ready to call it a night.

The price was right.  This place was significantly less than staying at the Disney hotel.  Sure we had to take the shuttle in to Disneyland but hell its way worth the slight inconvenience when you consider the cleanliness and amenities here.

We got great service.  Everyone was very friendly and nice.  One night we had some screaming kids next door that obviously were not being supervised.  We called the front desk and in less than 5 mins we heard silence.  That is great service.

There is a swimming pool!  Its on the 2nd floor.

My only complaint is that you have to pay 9.99 a day for internet per user.  Not so good when you have multiple users.  But you can go down anywhere in the lobby and get internet for free.

This place is a 5 star hotel in my book.  Yeah its no Ritz but it passed my hotel shoes test and that is rare achievement.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel.

When we were checking in, they had a fire alarm which turned out to be false. But, the elevetors did not work for 30 minutes after that and we had to carry our luggage up 8 flights of stairs on our own. The staff offered no help or compensation at all.

Also, this hotel has no free wifi (only paid wired internet in the room, or use of their 'busines center'). Very lame.

On the plus side, the staff at the breakfast restaurant was very friendly and the front desk gave us some warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in that were very good.

There was also enough 20 minute parking out front (or in the round drive) so that some of our friends could swing by and visit. They were parked there for over an hour and there was not a problem.

We stayed here for our first family trip to Disneyland with my 14 month old son. When I stepped into the hotel I was really impressed on how good it looked, the service at the front desk was great and the bell hop too. The cookies they give you are so yummy!

Our room was perfect, very spacious and clean. Everything seemed pretty updated and new (did not feel dirty at all). The price was a steal at $118 per night (this also included weekend dates).  The only thing I didn't like was the fridge was not as cold as I expected and the crib was a little small. Other than those two things, the experience here was well worth it. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel Tip: Ask for a corner room, it has a bit more spacious layout.

Nice. Very nice. Bravo Doubletree, you have successfully maintained a very professional appearance despite the masses of anklebiters running amok waiting to see Mickey.

Came here for business (isn't that always the case?). I got in late, they were nice, gave me the cookie. The rooms were very well furnished and comfortable. Can't say much for the restaurants as I didn't eat there. A nice perk I noticed is that there is a shuttle right outside the hotel that runs straight to Disney.

This is the best Doubletree I've ever been to.  You can get a two room suite for under $150. Better yet, the suites comes with a microwave and fridge. I can't comment on the single bed rooms. The rooms are maintained very well, clean and modern. My boyfriend and I stayed here twice and on our second stay, we we're upgraded to the Presidential Suite. Even the girl at the front desk was shocked. She was like, "what did you guys do? You got hooooked up!" The Presidential Suite was off the hook...two living rooms, two bathrooms, three flat screen tvs, and a bedroom. Wow. Perfect for bachelor/bachelorette parties, families, and romantic getaways.

Just had my wedding here on May 17 and it was absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Cassandra is wonderful and really worked with us on great deals for our reception...Such a sweet and considerate woman. The ballroom is amazing along with the entrance and great parking! I do have to say though they are a little strict on what they allow and dont allow in the ballroom like no candles, no sparklers etc. The room we stayed in that was the presidential suite and it was nice but definietly expensive for not having an amazing honeymoon suite with a super duper nice bathroom but oh well. I was also disappointed that they didn't decorate the room for us on our wedding night but it was all good cuz my friends took care of all that good stuff! Other than that nice hotel to have a party at!

Typical Doubletree but a little better...nicely appointed public areas, good sized rooms, friendly service, decent prices (you can get some real horror story places around Disneyland for more money), restaurant had good food, parking was convenient (and mine was free for some reason), overall you could do worse and in this area you cant do much better.

What a great hotel! Very welcoming and we were in an excellent v. spacious room for the four nights we were there. The restaurant was great - kids eat free - and the staff in the bar very friendly. Parking was reasonable and the room service was of a very high quality. We were in a disabled room which gave us a little more room with a family of four. Also liked the fact the beds were in one room and the TV and sitting room were in the other. Highly recommend.

I selected this hotel b/c it was close to Disneyland and my husband's work for the week.  We had 1 bdrm suite. The rooms are clean and nice which is super important to me. The only complaint i would have is there's this suction type of noise from the bathroom vent that's annoying.

Too bad there's no pool, it would have been nice.

Internet access is $9.99, i believe
Parking $11

Stayed here with the family and we had a great time. We enjoyed our stay and thank all who contributed their input. We chose the hotel based on cleanliness, price and reviews. Hotel is VERY clean, rooms and halls smell fresh, staff is friendly, bathroom amenities is from nutregena and beds are wonderfully soft and comfortable. Roms are modern, comfortable and secluded enough from the public walking in the halls. This hotel is NOT near Disneyland (about 4 LONG blocks). The area is quite and away from the crowds and hoopla. There is a local bus that travels along S. Harbor as well as the Anaheim transits (ART) which stops at Disney bus drop off.  The ART buses travel every 30 min and tends to be off schedule, however, once you get on it only stops twice. I recommend you take any ART bus towards disney and the #6 ART bus back to Dbl Tree. Be prepared to be charged $11 parking fee and $6 pool/gym fee from the hotel. The pool is located on the 2nd floor and views over look a local neighborhood. The gym is a small room with smith machines and 4 cardio stations. A nice touch was the warm cookies they give you at check in. Eat them right away, otherwise they become hard as rocks once cool. Each floor has a vending, ice machine and laundry room. The restaurant was pretty good and kids eat free with an adult entree. There is hotel gift shop supplied with things you may need, a coffee bar and Disney ticket office. Please note, Disney ticket office opens during Disney park hours and ART bus passes are not available until 7.00am (for some reason they see it necessary to lock it up in the safe after hours). There are two gas stations across the street, bus stop in front of hotel,  Dennys, Ruth Cris and Mortons within walking distance.  Overall I would come back here again!
