This place is now CLOSED. Gone. History. Too bad; they had some really good pizza there!

2 1/2 stars. The food and service here are OK. It's about on par with any other DoubleDaves I have been to.
Anytime I have ever been, the buffet is stocked good and they reload quickly. I've never had a problem with the drinks running out or any of the other items mentioned by the other reviewers.
In my opinion, it is a bit on the "spendy" side for a pizza buffet. -

The door says, "Trust the Crust", but that trust has been broken by a poor selection of pizza, and tainted by an overdose of salt. The buffet was practically empty, only occupied by a plethora of vacant pizza pans. Whatever pizza that was left, was extremely salty, it could of been a bad batch, but the saltiness was uniform throughout most of the pizza. On the other hand, decor of the restaurant was eccentric or tacky, whatever your taste is. Road signs, license plates, "DD" cow brands, antique krispy kreme, conoco, and "we make keys" sign cover the walls. The busboy was really sluggish as a spike of customers came in to eat the remains of pizza left in the buffet, he was also the delivery boy, and many tables were left dirty in his absence. The front counter girl pretty much had to do everything, and cook finally started to crank out pizza towards the end of our stay.

I mean look.....you are in Forney, Texas. What do you people expect? It's not an upscale pizza place in Uptown! I have always had good luck with this location. It is a tad more expensive than other pizza chains but I think the toppings are of better quality. The pizza isn't as greasy and I love that you can get a whole wheat crust. They are always very friendly. If there isn't something on the buffet that you want...just tell them and they will gladly cook it up!!!
