Dos Taquitos is a decent Mexican restaurant, with a lot of charm and character.  I really like the interior decor and the theme echoed in the server's clothes as well. There were a lot of people waiting but seating was fairly quick.

Their menu is short but the food is quite decent.  They have some authentic creations and not a lot of the traditional Mexican fare.  The chips were ok and the salsa decent.   Their drinks are not cheap but are well made.  A nice overall experience...

Dos Taquitos is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have come across in the Raleigh/Triangle area.  I'm from San Diego, and have had my fair share of mexican food.  While Dos Taquitos' fare is not the same, it is definitely authentic.  My favorite dish is the Chimichangas with steak (it's not that shredded crap!).

Their margarita's are awesome, too.  I love the Margarita Maria, as it is made with fresh squeezed juices.  The have a great selection of Tequila's too.

The atmosphere is truly awesome.  When you walk in, you feel like you are in Mexico.  The decor is very eclectic.  Every inch, corner, ceiling, room of this restaurant is decorated.  From the sombrero covered ceiling in the bar, to the train outside, you'll be amazed and in awe of this place!

The staff is always very friendly and accomodating.  Seating is quick, if you get there early.  The open for dinner at 5pm, and they get crowded quick.....which is obviously because this restaurant ROCKS!

I LOVE this place. Just down the street from my house and I was introduced to it right before I moved to San Diego and San Diego knows Mexican food. I moved back to Raleigh and I still love it. This isn't traditional Mexican so if that is what you are looking for you won't find it here. They have a great twist on traditional items though. The enchiladas are wonderful and the steak tacos are great too. I have to say that their mojitos are absolutely out of this world, best mojito ever, very fresh and worth the price. It is a bit more costly than I would normally pay for Mexican food but then again if I wanted normal Mexican I wouldn't have gone here. The atmosphere is awesome, very unique place with lots of decor. Worth a try for any Mexican food lover in Raleigh. FYI gets pretty crowded, especially on the weekends.

Not your typical Mexican restaurant!!! This is definitely the best in the triangle. The menu is not like all the others. This is actually more authentic Mexican, unlike the americanized places.  The $10 Blue Margarita is pricey, but man is it good!

The only downfall is you may have to wait for a table, so come early and sit outside. They have a beautiful patio area!

So, if you're looking for the real deal, go elsewhere. What is charming about Dos is not the traditional Mexican food. Where Dos gets props is in its atmosphere. Upon entry into Dos Taquitos, one feels as though they're in another place. Suddenly, you forget you're in Raleigh strip mall number 3028 with the customary Food Lion and Hardee's outparcel. The music is right, the decor is spot-on, the drinks are good, but what is best is the fun that is to be had. The food arrives. The steak tacos have been recommended by friends that adore Dos. The steak tacos are simple and quite good. The rice is a bit crunchy and feels extremely secondary to the main event. The chips and salsa are exactly as they are elsewhere. The service is not always reliable. What is completely reliable is the fun that can be found within. Visit Dos. Free yourself of the strip mall and enjoy an evening in a Mexican cantina.

A little pricey, but I love this place. An excellent non Tex-Mex restaurant in an inocuous strip mall off Creedmore Rd. They have some patio seating and a fun eclectic decor. In the summer they grow their own mint for rather good mojitos. Everything I have had on the menu has been great, and the posole is fantastic!
