We rented the chalet. However due to a snow storm, the electricity went out. Since we couldn't _heat up_ our food, we asked the innkeeper to let us warm it up in their restaurant kitchen: The innkeeper refused: She expected us to eat at her restaurant.
I call this "double dipping. It demonstrates their lack of hospitality.
Not sure why they are in that kind of business.

about two years ago my husband and i decided to take our kids to the snow. on a whim we packed up and drove towards Arnold. we drove by the Dorrington inn and tired and kids cranky said what the heck lets check to see if this place as any openings. i have to say we love it! everything was perfect. the little chalets the snow the people! we have now added a 5th member to our family since then and are ready to go back. we wouldn't think of staying at any other spot! i love it and want to go back every year if the owners will have us and our crazy kids!! thanks Dorrington inn!
Our family recently stayed in a chalet at this inn in Dorrington and it was really fantastic! Warm and cozy atmosphere. The owner/manager was very friendly and great with our kids. The in was the perfect retreat for us. It was fully furnished, and comfortable, especially the bedding with down comforters and high thread count sheets, although the bed was a little firmer than I like, it was still a great nights sleep. The owner/manager, upon arrival, was very helpful with things to do and places to go, and told us of a great spot just up the road 5 minutes for sledding and snow play. We had such a great time, we can't wait to go back!
I actually stayed at this hotel when I was about 8 or 9. When I saw it was still in business and I was heading that way I decided to stay there. It is an old style individual cabin motel. All the cabins are 'A' frame 2 story chalet's. There is a Queen Size bed downstairs and 1 upstairs in the loft. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they did not look much different from what I remembered - of course they were smaller then my kid memory - but still a decent size. Everything is knotty pine and rustic. I love this place. It is very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. The best word I can find to describe the management is Gracious. The hotel is a little rough on some edges - not all -and the rough edges add to it's charm. What it lacks in big city sophistication it makes up for with hospitality. The breakfast that is served every morning was incredible. I was told complimentary breakfast when I checked in but it is actually quite a cut above continental. Suprisingly the Manager actually even invited us to dinner one night. That's how homey it was. The Dorrington Inn combined with peacefullness and the beautiful scenery of Ebbetts Pass made this an amazing few days. I have been wanting to go back ever since.
