Stopped in for tea on my way out of town and LOVED it here! Dori's is quaint, beautifully decorated and there is a lot of love in this business! I will definitely be back for high tea when I can.

I LOVE this place!! Dori and her husband(?) were so gracious and friendly. The shop is absolutely adorable, everything they sell is so dainty and cute. They even sell different colors of sugar cubes/molded sugars!! SO cute. I loved all the teacups from different eras in the glass cabinet at the register.
My friends and I split a Lady Elsie and Countess Eleanor for lunch. But one of them is good for one person as well...we just wanted to try a little bit of everything. The little tea sandwiches were SO cute! My favorites were the turkey with brie and tomato, and bleu cheese, cranberry and walnut with pear. The dessert (fluffy orange cake, marble bread and fruit) and scones were AMAZING...now I want to have my own tea parties :)
They had samples of their iced tea flavors, my favorite was the herbal fruit medley, and the white tangerine and cherry iced teas. I ended up purchasing a bag of the birthday w/sprinkles hot tea, and the herbal fruit medley. I'm not usually a big tea fan, but the vanilla and caramel flavors in the birthday tea made it sweeter. Oh and they also allow you to purchase your teacup from the table for $15.00 as a souvenier if you like.
Overall, this is a darling little tea cottage. If you are going to Yosemite this summer, and if you like tea or just want to feel princess-y, this place is definitely a place to check out! -

My husband and I have been here a few times for tea. They have a large variety of teas and almost everything tea related. They also have a few tables and serve lunch which I have heard is delicious. The man (who I assume is the owner with Dori) is so incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome.
When we stopped in last time to pick out a tea set for my daughter's 5th birthday, we had our 3 year daughter with us. She was delighted to see all the pretty sugar cubes, tea sets and books for children. I could tell the man was enjoying us while we enjoyed his boutique. However, when Dori came out I felt like I was being watched like a hawk, which made me feel a little uptight. My daughter was touching things VERY GENTLY like she had been the last 15 minutes when Dori said,
"Could she please not touch everything!"
I was a little confused with her annoyance of children considering they carried children's items and considering we were about to purchase a set! Of course I apologized and put my daughter on my hip, but our feelings were hurt. Had the man not been so helpful and kind, I would not have purchased the tea set and other items for us. I thought about leaving and finding a set somewhere else but I know my girls will love the tea set. She seemed a little snooty and I don't think I will be taking my girls in for a tea party. Not a family oriented type of place, which is a shame because I love tea and I love to shop and my girls happen to be professional shoppers. ;) -

I was working in a summer camp in Groveland & discovered this tea room. I love tea and tea rooms, and I love this place! I stopped by twice and both times it was amazing.
They have a fairly good selection of teas. If I recall correctly, they had dozens of different teas--everything from the standards like English Breakfast to unique ones like Chocolate Ceylon. They also have a daily selection of a few creative flavors of home made iced tea for those who don't like hot tea! You can even get a free glass!
The tea room is small, seating about 15 people inside. There is also outdoor seating on the patio, but I'd recommend sitting inside. The decor, ambiance, settings, teacups--EVERYTHING is absolutely gorgeous.
The service is outstanding. Dori, her husband, and the woman they have employed are all really kind and warm. Dori is awesome and was open to talking to me about tea, teacups, the food---everything.
Both times I ordered a two person sampler for about $30. This includes a tea service with a few little sandwiches and desserts like fruit, cake and, of course, a scone. Everything is homemade. I must admit that the service looked a bit small at first, but it definitely filled me up by the time I was finished with it & my tea (I have a moderate appetite).
The sandwiches are all inventive and delicious (e.g. ham and apricot preserves or pesto and pine nut). The desserts are good. I must say that everyone who was with me on both visits raved about the scones!!
They also have a little boutique with all manner of awesome tea related accessories and some teas. Check out a few of the teacups they have on display, they are gorgeous!
This place is awesome and a MUST SEE if you're traveling to Yosemite. Stop by and have some tea/lunch. If you're in a hurry, they have to-go offerings as well, so there's no excuse! -

We loved it! This charming tea shop is on the way to Yosemite National Park in Groveland. Dori and Greg, the owners were so friendly and so welcoming, as if you are having lunch at their dinning room, Everything was so fresh and tasty. My favorite tea was Dori's special Tea blend called Pepermint Padi, Perpermint and chocholate, yummy !
I will go there any time I am in the area. Me , my husband and two kids enjoyed our lunch there very much. Highly recommed it :) -

Love it! What a pleasant treat--a group of us arrived for tea last weekend. While the service was a tad slow, the goodies they prepared were well worth the wait. I started with the Wedding Tea--served in a large pot, the combination of vanilla with just a hint of rose petals was delicate on the palate and doubled as aromatherapy.
Shortly thereafter, and array of ladylike noshes arrived, including an amazing raspberry-vanilla scone, which was oddly reminiscent of Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries! A nod is due the chicken salad, of which I could have eaten an entire bowl, as well as the chocolate butter pecan cake.
A terrific place to spend a leisurely afternoon, best enjoyed with a group of friends. -

We were staying at Camp Berkeley-Tuolomne and a group of 12 of us went into Groveland to enjoy High Tea at Dori's Tea Cottage. Absolutely the loveliest, sweetest experience. All of the food was special and perfect and lovingly prepared. Dori and Greg treat everyone as a most welcomed and precious guest. My husband and I will go there every time we're in the neighborhood.

We recently stopped in for a late Lunch at this quaint little Tea Shop off of Hwy 120 on the way to Yosemite. It may be small, but the atmosphere is charming, the menu offered is what you expect from a high-end tea house and the number of teas available is outstanding. We were very happy with the service and attention to detail is unparalled. The prices might be a little high, but certainly not by Bay Area Standards. There are lots of interesting items for sale in the gift shop. Next time you pass through Groveland stop in- you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Went with a group of friends and was so surprised with the amazing generosity of the pots of tea, and the variety on the various plates of tea sandwiches and cakes.
The shop also had a selection of teas, tea pots and gifts that were unusual and worth seeing (and buying). -

A "must stop".
Whether on your way to Yosemite, or vacationing locally, this place is a must stop, especially for the tea lovers. Dori's is a quaint teashop, with a nice variety of teas, and an especially scrumptious menu of salads sandwiches and treats. It is located directly across the street from the Iron Door Salon, making this stop accommodating to all tastes.
Our family of 6 (Mom, Dad, Grandma and 3 little ones) visits the area about 4 times a year and we always make time for a stop at Dori's (yes, they are family friendly). The owners are delightful, the food and tea excellent, and the shop quaint, making Dori's a must stop. -

This is BETTER than 5 stars! We returned again, and Dori cannot be beat. Her home made scones were FANTASTIC. The little handmade tea sandwiches are a wonderful sampling of flavors that just HAVE to be focused on and enjoyed. The variety of teas is unlimited, and we had both a chai and a hazlenut one to which I added some cream. Delicious. They take care of you like you were in their home, and I have never had anything to eat there that was not superb! If you're on your way to or from Yosemite, you must stop, relax, and enjoy. Oh, and as a guy, you wouldn't think I would enjoy a tea place, but I do. --- And, to add more, we just ate at Neiman Marcus, in the old City of Paris building, in San Francisco, and we just had to compare that with Dori. Neiman's would get a 3 or 4, but Dori still gets 5+ !
