DELIVERY service - Sure, they have free pick up and delivery (with a minimum order, I think it's $20 but not sure).  But they never show up on time, if at all.  I have come home early on numerous occasions to get my laundry picked up, or in hopes of getting my dry cleaning, but they never show up.  I always have to call them and ask where they are.   If they do show up they are almost always late, they never call to let you know they will be late.

WASH & FOLD SERVICE - Blech.  I went to this place maybe 5x before I got fed up.  Twice I had damp clothing - quite noticable in the socks.  One time I opened up the basket to find very wrinkled clothing - They didn't fold my shirts, they just folded them by the corners of the shoulders and draped them in the hamper.  Then put heavier stuff on top, thus making further wrinkles!

LAUNDERED MENS DRESS SHIRTS - UGH.  I didn't know this place was bad until the 3rd time I had my bf's shirts done, he asked me who I was using and I told him this place.  He told me never to use them again because his clothes weren't pressed as well as other places, and they always had some kind of white fuzz on them that he had to clean with a lint brush.

It's hard to get excited over a cleaner, but for many of us they are a necessity of life!

I chose Door Step due to the simple fact that they are the closest dry cleaners to my apartment.

The guys there are nice. After a few visits they'll remember your name. My stuff is always done on time, and their rates are about standard for cleaners. They have better hours than a lot of cleaners, including being open on Sunday. They accept credit cards. They offer free pick up and delivery, but I've never actually used it. Maybe I'll give that a shot one of these days.

My only complaint regarding quality is minor. When I was getting my shirts with medium starch, some of them came back with crusty white stuff on them (eww). They re-did those shirts for free, and switching to light starch seemed to make the problem go away. Not a big deal for me, but if you like more than light starch it's something to be aware of.

Both times I went here to have my suit cleaned, they could not locate my suit when I came to pick it up and I had to come back another day. I was forced to wear an old suit of mine from high-school to an important business meeting. I will not be coming back. I am so mad about the whole thing that I signed up for Yelp just to post this review.

I don't really understand why this place is as expensive as they are. Maybe I don't get stuff cleaned as often as some. But its a tiny little place that sends out all their cleaning and alterations. The first time I got some pants patched up, they ended up ripping again soon after, and I remember thinking that it was a bit pricey for the cleaning. Recently, they cleaned a dress, a scarf and replaced a zipper on a pair of pants and it was $22. That seems a little pricey for a tiny little dirty cleaner that smells funny. The name says it all, no one would go there if it wasn't the closest thing to your door step. I think I'm going to walk a few extra blocks next time. They also told me they can't clean the lining of my cheap pleather jacket because of liability. Seriously, dudes? Nevermind, I'll hand wash it and save myself $15.
