The food here is just so good. Certainly the best you'll find on that block and the surrounding ones in Charles Village. And yes, it is a bit more expensive for the quantity of what you get than, I don't know, a burger and fries at the place down the block, but come on, it's not THAT expensive, and here you can actually come in with a college budget and stimulate those taste buds with some interesting combinations of flavors.

There is something a bit cold about the atmosphere, the waiters aren't always very personable, but maybe this is part of their thing, I don't know. But oh, ignore your surroundings, or sit outside, and enjoy their wonderful foods! Such good soups and salads! This is the only place I know that is worth a trip for their SALAD DRESSINGS.

And I don't normally even like salad!!

Consistently decent food. This used to be my college haunt with seasonal pumpkin desserts that I could never resist. I can still attest to its palatable menu items, but would have to admit they are solid in terms of coffee drink and food offerings, but perhaps a little lacking in the inventiveness category.

I also have to applaud the waiter who checked with the chef if I could order a breakfast entree (poached eggs with ham capacolla on a sliced rustic baguette, topped with tomato chunks) after 2pm on a Sunday. I didn't think it was possible, but he managed to get me my much-needed breakfast in the afternoon. I was also impressed with the actual dish itself when it came out.

Love the giant latte cups, a la francaise. Nice touch, Donna's!

Donna's is a convenient little place with solid food and reasonable service. Prices do tend to run a little high for what you get, but this doesn't seem to deter too many customers. It's nice to be able to sit out on the patio during warmer months and watch the comings and goings at that little slice of Charles Village.

The menu carries a nice selection of salads, including a good-looking flank steak salad that I personally have not yet tried. Most of the entrees I have ordered have been at least decent. I do enjoy their fried calamari as an appetizer.

I don't really care for some of the sides that they offer with their entrees, including the baked sweet potato and the sweet potato fries. My biggest beef with the place is over the prices, which just seem too high for a place that is occasionally hit or miss on the food.

The quality of the food is the main reason for the four star rating. The service isn't bad, but it isn't great.  Its a little expensive if your a college student but its a great place to take a date and you don't need a cab to get there if you're at JHU.

friendly staff, pretty good menu (i love their roasted sweet potatoes), you do have to wait for a while for the food though, but aside from that, it's a great place to eat if you want something different in Charles Village. It's a nice place for lunch or a lazy weekend brunch especially during the summer when you get to sit outside.
