DVG's has some of the best original gifts in the city...99% of their stock comes from local artists, and they know their merchandise.  This is a real gem of a store...very, very places are carry such a wide range of art and much of it is so very affordable!  If you are decorating, giving a gift, or just treating yourself to a treasure, this is a great place to find something.

Why hello there, hella amazing artist co-op! Tons of fab local art is here, from pendants to cards to magnets to bowls, and I loved the prices too. Great for finding gifts for someone when you know that Target just won't do. Be warned that the shop packs a ton into the small space, so you'll be browsing for a while. It's not a bad thing at all - I love the diversity! - but don't go in expecting three artists and bail.

And the owner? What a great gal. Super sweet, very helpful, doesn't make you feel like a criminal before you even step foot in the door (I hate being stalked in galleries...) - she's got this figured out and figured out well. Very personable; it's no wonder the shop was filled with customers!

Popped in here on a whim and walked out with what is becoming one of my most favorite pieces of art ever.

I had no shopping agenda, just poking around to see what the place was about -- all local artists, eye candy galore, terribly friendly owner  -- and there it was. (chorus of angels singing) Leaning against the back wall behind a bunch of stuff, waiting to catch my eye. I had to have it.

I had no idea, but it was the work of  Atlantian Ronnie Land, who is freaking hilarious and is one of DVG's original patrons. Iris was delighted to give me the back story on Mr. Land (turns out he's a hottie AND supremely funny) plus a "nickle tour" of the entire collection.

Bottom line: If you like art, go. Get you some.

Donna Van Gogh's is the ultimate destination for artists, art lovers, and artists & lovers looking for inspiration.

This shop highlights local artists. Jewelers, sculptors, painters, photographers, designers, I could go on forever....
They have art you hang on the wall. Art that is magnetic. Art that you can wear. Art you can set your glass on. Art that stands alone. Art you can mail a note on. Art that can float in your bathtub. Art you can rub on your body. Art you can stick. Art you can smell.
It's ALL exceptional, interesting, and beautiful.

This is where I buy my art.

Great place to kill time while waiting in line for the Flying Biscuit.  I've bought some super cool porcelain pottery here.  They have a huge selection of art from many different artists.  There is a big price range too, so probably something for most people who aren't huge high-end snobs.

First off, let me say that the owner of this store has to be one of the nicest shopkeepers in all of Atlanta. We were immediately greeted with a warm hello. Not that kind of hello that you get when you walk into the Gap where it's just some sort of empty greeting and when you respond with a "hi, how are you" the salesperson is already long gone. But a genuine greeting and a thank you for coming in to my shop. That will always get you my business.

Donna Van Goghs sign says "Art For All Yall." And it's true - anyone could find something to love in here. After speaking to the owner, she told me they have over 150 artists and that everything in there is handmade. A true handcrafted paradise!

There's children's items, handmade greeting cards, art, jewelry, and pottery. OH! THE POTTERY!

Seriously - check it out....it's right down the sidewalk from Flying Biscuit. I can promise you won't be disappointed. Even if you find nothing to buy that day, the pleasant atmosphere and the genuine conversation are worth going for.

I am a huge fan of outsider and folk art, and Donna Van Gogh's is one of the few places in the city that caters to my taste. When I'm looking for a thoughtful, affordable gift for a friend, I can count on finding something appropriate at DVG's. Some top gifts I've purchased there include a huge wire vase with a wide base, splitting at the top into several branches, with the wire wrapped around test tubes (what a concept!); a clear Christmas ornament containing two skeletons with bright-red eyes, hugging each other (the title is 'Til Death Do Us Part); and a gorgeous maroon, ribbed mug by Sheila B.

I have to chime in and agree with everyone else's praise for the store owners' friendliness. I usually spend an hour in DVG's agonizing over finding the right gift, and whoever is working behind the counter always walks around with me, giving helpful suggestions. And it's not in an obnoxious way.

I'm moving soon and can't wait to blow some money at Donna Van Gogh's for a housewarming gift for myself.

This is an excellent store for those looking for unique gifts as well as the casual and serious collector of arts. The store itself contains the works of (i believe) over 140 local artists, and it isn't an intimidating gallery with stark white walls. Rather, the place is filled with functional art, from toys for kids, cards, magnets, stain glass ornaments, candles, jewelry, lights and ceramics, and limited prints and canvases filing the walls. The pricing is reasonable and varied for prints and original works. The lady behind the counter (I'm assuming her name is Donna...) is extremely helpful and knows about all the artists n their portfolios. just ask.

i gave Donna van gogh's market five stars because it does a great job focusing on local artists and bringing art into a community. Atlanta has a growing art scene with a lot  local, "lowbrow", pop, folk, etc. work. not everyone buys pieces to fit a collection or just hang on a wall to match their sofa and accumulate "value" over their years. art is also the connection people have with the work that makes them feel enriched to want to be around it or give it to someone they care about. i feel Donna tries proactively to make sure people feel this way with the artist they support because they do themselves.

This is a wonderful gem in Atlanta.  The owners, Terry and Iris have a fantabulous store full of eclectic artwork and will hold heartedly assist you to find that special something you are looking for.  They know about all the artists (many of which are local Atlanta/GA artists).  I have been shopping there since I moved to Atlanta in the late 90's and they are located on the same strip as the original Flying Biscuit.

**warning: shameless self-serving plug*** I may be a bit biased as I started selling my artwork there too but regardless it's truly a funky store.

This is one of the coolest places in the city.  Like Lauren, I'm always impressed by the sincere welcome everytime I step in.  The owners are real characters, easy to talk to and eccentric.  What else would you expect in an art store like this?

And the art:  This is the kind that never takes itself too seriously.  It's folksy, southern, and a lot of it is hysterical.  Not to say that it isn't well made or beautiful, but it is the type anyone can appreciate, at least anyone with a sense of humor.  I think one of the ladies said something like the works of 150 Georgia artists are carried in the shop.  Not only are you supporting an artist, that artist may live right down the road.

It's good to see a place like this still in business.  Hopefully it will be around for a good while longer.

    I. Love. This. Store.

Such great local flavor. A GREAT place to shop for original gifts for yourself, friends or colleagues. I wanted to buy everything. Go here and spend money with reckless abandon. You won't be disappointed.

What a charming little shop/gallery!  Iris, one of the co-owners welcomed us to her gallery with such open arms and a genuine love of local art....great selection of interesting pieces at great prices.  Plus, I am obsessed with the Candler Park business area.  I love how the locals know every single thing about everyone and everything that lives in or happens in their hood.  I'd like to open my next shop in this string of shops and would love to be a neighbor with Donna Van Gogh's...

Stopped in to Donna Van Gogh's today inquiring about how to have some of my art in there. I received a very unfriendly response from the woman in charge of bringing new artists in. I had not brought any of my art with me so the attitude could not be based off of my art. Would have been nice to have some of my work in my neighborhood shop. I am a Candler Park resident and like to support the neighborhood businesses. Donna Van Gogh's will no longer have my or my wifes support.

This place is a special find in this city.  Tons of local Georgia artist have their works for sale in this absolutely adorable little shop in Candler Park.  The cashier was uber friendly and she knew a little information about all the artists and even had a little story about most of the pieces.  I think the works here are relatively affordable and there's definitely something for everyone.  I wish Atlanta had more places like Donna Van Goghs!  I'm going to come back soon to see what new pieces she has in!
