I would give the Donna Seager Gallery a 5 out of 5 but the trek is some effort and a $5 toll!  Yes, it's okay to call me cheap.  In any case, location is the only downside but when you see the space, it's pretty incredible.  

It's an incredible space (yes, there is plenty of room for sculpture, performance art, etc.) and the "wall real estate" is fantastic.  It also works in conjunction with Artisans, which is a 'non-profit public benefit corporation (please see my review of Artisans Art gallery).

FOR BAY AREA ARTISTS: It's a place for emerging as well as established artists to exhibit their work.  The neighborhood is comfortable and Ms. Seager is an amazing woman open to answer any questions.  Of course, similar to any gallery owner, you wouldn't just hand her your portfolio but you can easily introduce yourself and she will definitely help you in any way she can.

FOR ART ADMIRERS: For those who are admirers of art, you will not be disappointed because there is so much more to view (Ms. Seager's handmade book collection).  Make sure to visit her web site and check for regular shows.  It's worth a visit if you see an artist you like!

Donna Seager Gallery is a welcome addition to the Marin area art scene. Finally, a gallery curated with style! Owner Donna Seager is lovely to work with - warm, cheerful, and deeply passionate about the artists she represents. You won't get a snobby reception at this gallery. First-time art buyers will feel as comfortable as long-time collectors. I recently purchased some wonderful paintings from the gallery by Aondrea Maynard, and enjoyed my interaction with Donna greatly. Openings are lots of fun, and a great way to meet others interested in excellent quality original works of art. I love this place!
