This is a review of their service center only.  I took my Subaru here for a servicing and a recall fix, after being fed up with Farrish in Tyson's Corner and their sudden 3 things wrong with my car every time I came to visit them.  I was able to drop it off, fill out a form, and pick it up the next afternoon.  It was so easy and so worth the much longer drive.

I give it one stars because negative stars is not an option. I bought a CPO Volvo from Don Beyer's Falls Church location in Nov of 2006. The car stalls out randomly (middle of intersections, Beltway, etc). Just stops. I've take it in 4 times to be fixed, but the technician keeps telling me he doesn't know what's wrong with it.
My Volvo is less than 3 years old. In addition to not working properly (My job is driving, I bought a Volvo because they are reputed to be safe and reliable), the sales staff at Beyer Volvo is atrocious.
After the 2nd time I brought my car in, Mike Beyer literally told me that he "would not meet with me" and started laughing at me when I called him to talk about my problem. Once I got to the dealership, the general manager (Jon Hall) and other employees mocked me until I started crying in the middle of the dealership, then laughed at me.
Thus far, they have refused to fix, refund, or replace my car. I paid 15,000 for a car that was 2 years old, certified to be safe and problem-free.  
All I want is what I paid for--a working Volvo, of equal (or greater value) for $15,000.
To be treated the way I've been treated is insane. At no point did they even approach professional, or even civil human behavior. This is by far the worst customer experience of my life. I was literally told to "go f*ck myself" by the owner and his sales staff.
I am appalled at the incredibly low level of service (or lack thereof) I received here. Whatever you do, do not buy a Volvo in the DC metro area.

I moved to DC after purchasing a used Volvo in St. Louis. After some time, I realized the car was a lemon. It began to have constant problems, anything from the brake lights going out practically every other week to the check engine light constantly remaining on and huge plumes of black soot spouting from the exhaust pipe. We took the car to Don Beyer in Alexandria, and they would work on it and, of course, the car would break again within a few hours. At one time, I pulled out of the parking space in their lot and the brake light went out. I pulled in, and they showed me how to replace the bulbs and gave me some extras to have on hand. I left the parking lot, and the check engine light came on again on the highway driving to work, 15 minutes after I'd left. I called them to let them know I would be bringing it in again. Throughout the whole ordeal, the staff in the repair shop were so nice and considerate. They were calm and collected (even if I wasn't), and they did most of my repairs at no cost to me, since I was in there every week. I can't say enough about how nice and professional they were. And, as a woman, I appreciated that they did not talk down to me or treat me differently than their male customers.
