    Best place for steak tips!

I love this place. The staff is so nice and helpful when you are standing in the freezing room trying to decide which awesome meat to bring home.

The original sirloin tips are perfectly marinated and tender. I would recommend this without a doubt.

I also tried their turkey tips which are good but not as good as the sirloin tips.

Go for the gold! You won't be disappointed in the quality.

terrible customer service. went in there on a friday afternoon and went up to the counter (no one in front of me) and stood there for 5 minutes before someone noticed me. there was probably 7 to 9 people walking around behind the counters what appeared to me as doing nothing. there was only about 6 other customers in there with me that were all sitting down eating.

finally, a guy says to me "has anyone helped you"? i told him no and that i've been standing there looking invisible to everyone. he apologizes to me and can clearly see i'm mad about it. he asks me what i want and i tell him a sub and a fish diner. he says to me "i'm gonna throw you an extra piece of fish for your trouble". so i thank him for that and that puts me in a good mood again. keep in mind, the fish diner costs $8.50. i bring my stuff up to the register where an older woman with glasses (who doesn't say hi, doesn't say anything and looks completely miserable) adds up my stuff. while she's doing that, i run into the next door room to grab a $50 bag of steak tips. i come back to the register and a young guy is behind the register. he says nothing to me except "$65". i pay him and he hands me my receipt. as i'm looking at it, i notice something that costs $9.50. i said to him, "what's $9.50"? he tells me to hold on so he can get the older woman that was originally behind the register that rang it up. she comes over and explains to me it was because of the extra piece of fish (that the guy gave me for free). i tell her about how i waited at the counter for 5 minutes and that the guy gave me the extra piece for my troubles. i go on further to tell her that their customer service is terrible including herself. i didn't even want to hear what she had to say and just demanded my $65 back.

all this over a lousy dollar. yes, you read it right. what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

herself, along with the guy behind the counter didn't even care about my situation. i also asked for the owner and was told he wasn't around. you know, i could understand this situation if this were a commercial chain or a big nationwide company where no one cares about making customers mad or losing a sale... but this is a mom and pop store. they should be kissing people's feet when they come in the door.

this was my first time at this place and MY LAST. i drove directly from there to bianco's in revere. DO NOT make the mistake of going to this terribly ran establishment - there are far too many other BETTER places within the greater boston area.

OMG.. I was so sad when I went to Doms... I hadnt been in years and have been dying to go somewhere other than McKinnons (Have lived across the street for more than 20 yrs & just wants a change)... so I knew they were a Meat Place...

So I walk in & the place is tiny - I obviously dont remember this place at all, the Deli line was long (Never knew they sold already prepared food)...

I looked around & was like "Wheres the meat", then noticed the cooler doors open next to me & then in I walked... IT WAS FREEZING....

Steak Tips were outrageously expensive, I looked around at other things & they were all just WAY overpriced... I was very disappointed...

We got a small pack of Steak Tips, a package of American Cheese & 1 pint of Macaroni Salad w/ Italian Dressing and spent $34.... Will not go back...

I know they have good catering, but as far as the store - wont be a shopper!

My co-workers and I order breakfast or lunch from here often.  The food is yummy and portions are good. Even though the online menu states they stop service breakfast at 11 am you can still put in a late order. The lunch options are great and they do offer daily specials such as mac & cheese with boneless buffalo wings and tasty soups.

Summary: Incredibly overpriced, supermarket quality, poor display

I have been by this place many times when visiting Super88.  When I needed some sausages for a cookout, I thought, let's try the place that puts sausage in their name.  Bound to be better, right?

While the sausages are good, they are no better than what you get at supermarkets or other meat stores.  When buying a package of 5, they are $4.95/lb!  The 5 lbs box (all the same kind) brings it down to "only" $3.95/lb.

But folks, sausages are made with leftover bits that around ground up.  They were invented to be cheap!  $4 to $5 is ridiculous.  My next stop was McKinnons, where the sausages were $2.29.

I bought Dom's Sausage anyway, to see if it was worth the price.  Good, if ordinary Italian sausages.  A friend brought some home-made sausages to the party that were considerably better.

When I called, I was told they were a full-line butcher shop.  The meat shop (to the right as you go in) is tiny, with not much on display.  I asked about a pork loin roast, and learned that it was $4.49 - more than I would pay at a supermarket.  But note that the pork loin roast, which is a prime cut of pork, actually costs less than their sausages!!

The reasons for going to a butcher or meat specialty shop instead of a supermarket are better prices, superior quality cuts, variety, or some blend of those.  Dom's does not fit the bill.

I was hoping for a closer meat shop than McKinnons, but I will continue going to McK and getting fair prices.  Dom's will be a last resort when I can't find something I need elsewhere.

Dom's is a sanctuary for meat lovers. A place where one can praise the glorious meaty proteins in peace, fara away from any vegetarians and vegans. And up until last week, I pretty much had no idea this place existed and how close and easy it was to get to from my place.

Before I continue any further, I'd like to thank Groupon for running a deal with them - If it weren't for the deal, I probably would have never noticed this spot. At least not as soon as I did.

So after a quick and short drive from CostCo, which took all but 5 minutes, we arrived, parked the car in their spacious lot and walked right in. To our right was a refrigerated, open room where various meats were available in racks - Amongst the selection were pre-prepared meats like marinated steak tips and chicken cordon bleu filets, and also regular cuts like pork chops, lamb chops, steaks, etc... Just about anything imaginable is there.

To the left is the cashier counter and a deli counter, and a few other things are there in a bunch of shelves as well. Essentially anything you'd need for a BBQ for example.

The prices are pretty cheap and the service is friendly and knowledgable. We picked up a ton of things there including two very lean, beautiful pork tenderloins, some pre-prepped cordon bleu chicken filets and some marinated steak tips. Everything is tasty and great. I shall return there soon and get more stuff.

The only downside is that I can't grill in Somerville due to the fire code and the fact that I live in a building. It didn't bother me all that much until I walked into the place.

I'll tell you that before Groupon told me this place was 5 mins away from my house, I hadn't even heard of it. Total shame! I could've been eatin' good for YEARS, but noooo.

Tucked in the side of a little commercial area past Wellington, is this amazing little deli/specialty food store/Mecca of meat!

The people who work here are really nice and helpful. If you walk into the refrigerator area (aka, meat room) and look a little lost, the guys will suggest different things you can get, and make. Which is often helpful cause I a) look lost while shopping, and b) I usually don't plan meals ahead of time.

Lots of parking. Loads of specials. Go! You will not be disappointed!

Dom's is the only place for Sausage.  Their sausages are delizioso.

    Sunday football a must:
    2 packages of Sweet
2 packages of Garlic & Cheese
    2 packages of Hot

Sweet sausage in my pasta fajioli for the winter.
Sweet, Hot & Garlic & Cheese for the summer BBQ!'s

I will say their Garlic & Cheese are heaven.  If you buy your sausages in the supermarket "disgustozo"I assume you cook them in jarred Prego sauce...enough said.

Dom's Sausage Co. is a little hard to find, located inside a nondescript building in Malden. But I imagine the die-hard followers want to keep all the good stuff to themselves. :)

We were very impressed with the selection of marinated meats at Dom's, and chose the Steak Tips in their traditional marinade. The steak tips turned out fantastic when I made them for dinner! We also got the stuffed chicken breast, and that was great, too. I was curious to try their famous sausages, but they were very low -- must have been a weekend sausage frenzy!

I asked where they source their meat, which was met with a long  explanation that they are "blood and guts people," and their cows are "Corn-fed American, Midwest" cows. He seemed to be annoyed at my question, which was only to see if they work with particular farms.

The staff were nice, though - the deli and hot buffet area had lines, and you could tell this is one of those neighborhood hidden gems. I don't know if I'll be going back often, as I'm not in the area much, but I was quite impressed by their selection of meats.

    Oh man, what a sausagefest!

Our intentions of buying some marinated meats for some impromptu pre-spring grilling were hijacked by the smoky allures of meat grilling inside. The Lady Friend and I couldn't be bothered to wait to go home, clean off the grill, fire up the grill, etc. etc., but both ordered the mixed grill dinner (steak tip and sausage), piled with sides of fries and very excellent onion rings, managed to squeeze into a table, and then face planted into the generous pile of grilled goodness.

Perused the freezer after for some potential dinner options, but deciding that our arteries had taken enough of a beating for the weekend, we cut our losses. Prices reasonable, though not as cheap as McKinnon's. But better variety, plus a ton of sandwich and cold cut options, puts it over the top.

It's a bitch to get here though - a ten minute ride from Arlington turned into a 45 minute nightmare plowing through early afternoon Saturday traffic. Can't even imagine trying to get here at rush hour. Worth it though...

I first walked into Dom's at lunch time on a Thursday afternoon, and found myself in line behind most of Malden's fire department.  "This is a good sign," I thought to myself.

And after wandering through this meatlover's playground for fifteen minutes, all I could think was, "How in the world have I been living here for so long, and never known this place existed?"  Dom's a carnivore's Mecca!!!

Enter the walk-in freezer, and you'll find quality and price that is world's better than anything you can get at your local grocery store.

Dom's is on top of its game when it comes to convenience - big bags of marinating ribs, wings and tips just waiting to be tossed on the grill.

And their lunch counter is fantastic: steak & cheese, pulled pork calzones, sausage & meatball subs - it's all delicious!

The next time you find yourself meandering through Malden, find your way over to Dom's - you'll be glad you did.

Dom's Sausage is the best place in the greater Boston area to get steak tips, chicken, deli, etc.  As long as you buy their food, and have a grillmaster by your side, you will not be disappointed.

I wouldn't recommend using them for catering.  Like any other caterers, they cook all the steaks medium well. Any meat cooked medium well destroys the flavor and tenderness.  But I suppose thats not Dom's fault.

I have noticed some of the reviews mention lack of selection in the meat room. As a veteran Dom's shopper, I know you can ask one of the guys behind the counter to make you whatever you want. So if you see something missing that you want, just ask. Also to compare prices to a grocery store in terms of sausage is pretty unfair.  The grocery store will almost always be cheaper. I have never had a bad quality sausage there my entire life. I know I'd rather pay a few extra bucks for good sausage than getting a deal in bulk of shitty sausage.

This place is a sausage fest! I purchased a package of regular hot sausages, but they also had extra long sweet ones. I'm serious. There's more meat too, though. I got a bag of steak tips and one of chicken, both in steakhouse marinade. The selection of meats is impressive, and they're available in a ton of marinades as well as just plain naked meat. They also make a damn fine sandwich, from the looks of it. My friend had an Italian, but I went with a breakfast sandwich. Less than $3 and grilled up fresh with good quality ingredients. Not some nasty crap from Dunkies.
Sometimes I go to an old school place like Dom's and it feels like I'm home with my family. What I mean by that is, a bunch of townie Italian people are staring at me like I have four heads. As a gay leprechaun, I've come to expect this. But I didn't get that nonsense here, with the exception of a patron or two, and that is impressive! The folks behind the counter and in the meat fridge were super friendly, asking if we needed help a few times as we browsed.
I haven't cooked up the steak tips yet, but the chicken and sausage were both delicious. I grilled the chicken, and the marinade was unique and kept the meat nice and juicy. I'm not sure what exactly was in it, but there were hints of mustard and it seemed relatively unexotic. Which is a good thing, I like to taste the meat and not just the marinade. I cooked up the sausage and made a little cannelini bean and olive oil sauce, which I tossed on some pasta. Delightful! A friend bought steak Florentine, which was basically flank steak wrapped in a loop with spinach and provolone in the circle. Not the best description, but it was pretty cool looking, and tasted excellent after about 20 minutes under the broiler.
All in all, Dom's rules. I was glad to grab as much meat as I could, and I can't wait to shove more of it in my mouth.

Went to a friend's house for a Birthday BBQ and when I tried the steak tips, sausages and turkey tips they had gotten from Dom's I realized I needed to check this place out for myself.

So the next weekend I hustled myself over there and considering I live in Chelsea, it was a quick hustle.  Got the standard steak tips, the chinese pork tips and some nice sweet Italian sausage.  So far, I've had the sausage "Sausage Guy" style and the chinese style pork tips which were heavenly.  The marinades are excellent and make it easy to feed a bunch of people and have them asking you for the marinade recipe.

    I love Dom's!!

I have known about Dom's for a very long time.  My dad goes to Dom's for their fresh meats.  Now I know why!  I'm actually kind of bummed that after living in Malden for 3 years that today was the first time I went.  I know for sure I'll be back.

So I'm co-planning a special event for a dear friend this coming weekend and am planning to make these yummy Turkey BLT's.  Since this is a special occasion I wanted to get the meats from a real butcher rather than Maldens Stop n Shop.  I wanted fresh.  My friend deserves it.  ;)

First off - right in the door I was greeted by the friendliest of staff.  Every where I turned it was a pleasantry you don't get much these days.  Second walked into the butcher area and holy crap it's literally a freezer - NOW this is fresh.  The selection was amazing.  Nice cuts of meat at very reasonable prices, marinated steak tips, chiken breasts, italian sausage, cheese, eggs.  Everything looked so fresh and it was honestly hard to choose.  For the party I went with the marinated chicken wings and Turkey for the sandwhiches.  For myself marinated steak tips and chicken wings.

The most phenominal part of this whole trip - I paid a total of $57 for.... *drum rolls *
    *  5 packages of Chinese Marinated Chicken Wings (I think it was 10 wings to a pack.
    *  1 bag of Steak tips - roughly looked like 20 pieces
    *  1 package of drumsticks - about 15 pieces
    *  1 1/2 lbs of Turkey
    *  24 rolls

To me this was pretty reasonable for freshness, quality and a courteous staff.

Very centrally located and for the T-bound only a 10 minute walk from the Malden T-Stop.

    HIGHLY Recommended.  ;)

Of all the establishments I've perused on Yelp, Dom's is the first to have been reviewed more than thrice and have never given up a star.  That perfect status is well-deserved.

A Malden transplant, there's not much that I'll miss whenever I should emigrate for greener pastures.  There's the safety of having a Dunkin' Donuts every seven and a half feet, thus knowing I'll never again be forced to have my adenosine neurotransmitter uninhibited.  The convenience of purchasing my beer, wine and liquor at Stop & Shop.  The reliably-empty public tennis courts.  I can live without any of the preceding luxuries but I'll travel many miles to fill my cooler with the magical marinated meats from Dom's massive walk-in.

Whether beef or poultry, every offering (there's a wide array) is a hit.  Every one!  The prepared food (subs, sandwiches, etc.) is also excellent and the deli offers a solid variety of quality cuts.

The prices are well within reason and the well-seasoned staff (a family business, perhaps?) are good-natured and genuinely pleased to help or offer the spare grilling tip.

    I would give Dom's 10 stars if I could.

When I think "steak tips", I think Dom's.  They have the best steak tips around.  I'm not sure if it's because their meat is so fresh and tender or if it's because their marinades are tasty.  But, when cooked to perfection, their steak tips just melt in your mouth.  Unbelievable.

If you're hosting a BBQ this summer, do yourself a favor and hit up Dom's for your meat.  You will not only earn the respect of your existing friends, you will make plenty of new ones.  The steak tips may be the star of the show, but the chicken, turkey, sausages, etc. are all excellent.

While you're there buying your rations, make sure to hit up the Dom's deli and get a steak tip sub.  I have yet to make a steak tip sub as good as the one from Dom's deli counter.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Aside from the great product, Dom's prices are reasonable, and the staff is incredibly friendly.  These people deserve your business, so stop reading this review, go to Dom's right now, and thank me later!

There aren't many places like this around anymore - the type of place you can pick up some fresh steaks, cold cuts, and then grab the city's best steak and cheese on your way out. Whether you are getting ready for a cook-out, tailgate, or just craving some real, Italian sausage, Dom's has it all.

Don't be thrown off by the small, hole-in-the-wall, wholesale looking building. Go inside during your lunch break and order a steak and cheese or steak tip sub. Also as a "healthier" option I LOVE getting the steak tips over a garden salad with their house dressing. YUM!!! Just make sure you give yourself some time as it is almost always busy there.

Locals can appreciate the charm of a good ol' family-run business. If you have a party coming up their catering business is booming and totally accommodating. Ask for Jan, she's the best.

Dom's Sausage Company -- it's difficult to not giggle every day as I drive by this fine establishment.  After reading all the amazing reviews, we had to check it out for ourselves.

Dom's is pretty no frills.  One room for a small market/deli and the walk-in fridge for all of your meaty needs.  We got some steak tips and ran home right quick to grill 'em up.

The marinade is so good and the tips were crazy tender - slightly sweet and a little tangy, but in general just so melt-in-your-mouth amazing.

The steakhouse style chicken looks amazing -- (looked like a lemon/pepper marinade) as did practically everything else in the joint.  Can't wait to get back there to try some more!

Dom's Sausage Company is a place that has been around since I was a kid...and even longer.
Since I was young, in the Malden area, Dom's was a great  place to go for sausages, and anything one could want from a butcher shop and deli.

Specialty shops are always so much nicer than a big supermarket.

Today , I went in and got some pre-marinated tips and wings. The marinades are very good and meats are priced pretty reasonable. We got the garlic ginger steak tips (phenomenal) creamy Caesar turkey tips, and firey wings.

I love all the sides like macaroni salad and potatoe sald, plus they have random sweets and Italian specialties like Pizzelles.

You can go in for lunch and get deli sandwiches to go, or the butchery for all your grilling needs. I should mention that I LOVE our new gas grill. Hooray for AL!  The Hilltop is pretty good for the same purpose but Dom's is closer, and easier to get around in......take that Frank Giufrida!
    ha ha ha.

My only small complaint was that the turkey tips weer a little fatty.....
Not a big thing, but worth mentioning just the same.

I definitely want to try those Hawaii Cowboy Steak tips! Those sound killer.

    Cheers Malden!

Dom's is the best butcher I've been to, by far! I've been coming here since '05 for their tips. So delicious!

They have steak and chicken tips in many different marinades, as well as pork and turkey tips. I find that the turkey tips hold the marinades' flavor better than the chicken tips, but they don't come in as many flavors. The pork tips only come in an 'ah-so' type marinade, but they are always fantastic.

My favorite tips are the chicken tips in the 'steakhouse' style. They will blow your mind! 'Steakhouse' style steak tips are good too, as are the 'patriot', 'ginger garlic', and 'original' flavored steak.

As the business' name implies, they also have a decent sausage selection. We've only tried the Broccoli Rabe sausage, but weren't too impressed. Eventually I'll give the rest of the sausage varieties a try, but for now I just load up on steak and chicken tips.

You can also get any cut of meat, and there is always a butcher or two on hand in the meat room to get you what you need or help you with a special request or anything at all.

Everybody is always wicked friendly, and as butcheries are a dying breed, Dom's seems to be standing strong. Thanks to Dom's, we kicked off the '09 grilling season where the '08 season left off!

We went there for lunch Saturday and to check out the meat selection. Ordered  two small sandwiches that came out very quickly (turkey-lettuce on a bulkie roll & cheese steak with mushrooms). The sandwiches were good and had a decent amount of filling.  Two drinks, a bag of chips, and 2 sandwiches - $16.00   Definitely a take-away place, there was only one small picnic table in the parking lot.  As noted, the staff was quite friendly and very eager to help.

They have a good collection of meats and sausages, marinated steak tips and wings. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely try these out in the future.

[update 8.28.08 - picked up some steak tips and sausages for my coworkers - we have a grill at work and cooked them up for lunch.  The tips were a big hit (house marinade and peppercorn/bourbon).  The sausages were good (a little bland for a sweet italian blend) but the tips clearly stole the show].

    Try original
    It make for famous flavor
    Teriyaki too.

Dom's has some of the best bbq food around

If it's nice out, and you're going to be cooking on the grill you have to go to Dom's first.  The people there are super friendly.  If your on your way and you're afraid they might close, just give them a call and they'll stay open for you.  I've also called because I was looking for a specific cut of meat and they cut it for me and held it in the back til I got there.

Steak tips, burgers, sausages, everything really is top notch!

My favorites, Oriental Chicken Wings, Patriots flavor steak tips, Spicy Terriaki Steak Tips, All of there Sausages are really really good.  Pretty much you can't loose.  They even have the veggies already cut up for you.  If you're planning to BBQ and want to do it fast with as little work as possible, come to Doms.  People will think you're freakin Emril when really all you did was turn the grill on and let Doms do all the work!

Check it out, I guarantee you'll like it or your money back

Dom's is so great. We go here all the time for the pre-marinated meats. The steak tips are always lean and they have great marinades, especially the original and the patriot. I also buy the marinated chicken a lot because it's quick and easy to just throw it on the grill and put it on a salad. Also, be sure to try the green pepper sausages. They are so good and so flavorful, you'll never want to go anywhere else!!

Last year a friend of mine passed away quite suddenly. I wanted to take food to his family the next day and somebody recommended the Rosebud. I called them early the next morning and asked for a platter to pick up that day. I was stunned when the person I spoke with rudely told me there was no way this could happen. That if I wanted they could slice up the cold cuts and I could pick them up and make my own platter and that was all they could do. Needless to say I hung up extremely disappointed.

Next I called Dom's. Man alive, I can't say enough how much I wished I called them first. The lady I spoke with was so kind and accommodating. Not only were they going to make up the platters they would have them ready that very morning. No hassle, no fuss, no making me feel like a moron for having the audacity to call and make such a request for a same day order.

When I arrived my platters were completed with all the fixings. They even had a clerk help me to my car with everything. I will never forget this and they earned themselves a lifelong customer.

As for that other place I haven't gone back there and never will. As far as I'm concerned they can suck it.

I've never had anything from Dom's that wasn't fresh or delicious. During the summer for bbq's this is the go to place for tips and meats. YUMMY!!! At work we occasionally get lunch delivered and it's always great.

Keep up the great work Dom's. I'm glad you're out there.

A few years back, I had been lucky enough to work only a few blocks from Dom's shop in Malden. This was my first experience and it was all that I needed to know that I stepped into Boston's best place for steak tips, sausages and other meats. This is no fancy place...more of a deli counter and a few tables. But the food is so great that the line for lunch is often out the door. While I miss going there for lunch, I was thrilled to find that I can still purchase Dom's meats at Calareso's Farm Stand in Reading and Ryer's Deli in North Reading. Dom's steak tips have become a staple of our summer barbeques!

Dom's is amazing.  They have the best marinated steak tips I've ever had, better than Butcher Boy or McKinnon's.  The originial flavor is the best in my opinion.  Their steakhouse marinated chicken is also really yummy.  The people who work there are great, too.  This past summer, we were leaving for vacation and wanted to pick up some meat to bring with us.  However, I was stuck in traffic and was not going to be able to make it to the store before they closed.  We called and asked if there was anyway they could let us in 10-15 minutes after they closed and they agreed!  We were so grateful that they would do that for us!
