Good, the people who work there are really friendly. Not sure how "healthy" the vegetable ice cream is, but whatever, still tastes good.

Recently opened just across the street from the new Barnes & Nobles in Charles Village, Dominion Ice Cream was a rare and unique find.

Curious about the tagline on their door, "Tastes Good & Good For You!", I did a double take to make sure this was really an ice cream store.

Inside we were greeted by a very nice woman who asked if we had been there before. We hadn't so she explained her ice cream was made from all natural ingredients. I asked her what was the flavor "Muscle Up" - she said, "Try it", and handed me a sample.

After I tasted it (and it was very good, a little sweet, but I still didn't what the flavor was. She told me it was Spinach.

I had just tasted Spinach ice cream. To build strong muslces. Muscle Up. Ahh. It made sense now.

So when I saw the other flavors, EagleEye, BoneyConey, SweetTooth, I could only imagine. Turns out they were carrot ice cream, tomato ice cream, and sweet potato ice cream, respectively. Vegetable ice cream, my friends.

She told us that these ice creams were mainly geared towards kids because most of the snacks kids eat are empty calories. By adding the vegetables to ice cream, they get all the nutritional benefits of the vegetables but in a tasty ice cream instead.

I decided to go with the SweetTooth -- "tooth" because sweet potatoes are supposed to help build strong teeth, apparently. Even big kids learn something new everyday!

The ice cream was a little softer than normal ice cream (perhaps, because of less fat content?) so I recommend getting it in a cup instead of a cone.

Nutrional facts about the ice cream can be found here: http://www.eatyourvegs...

Now there are no excuses not to eat your veggies!

It was sad to see Gaga's go, but its nice that another ice cream store, Dominion, took over the space (and remaining inventory).

I am sure it will be tough for them to compete against the upcoming Cold Stone Creamery, but there isn't a question in my mind where I'll go for walking distance ice cream.  With flavors like spinach and sweet ptoato, why go anywhere else?
