5 reviews for Domenico's Ristorante
this a nice quiet and grown-up place to go for dinner. The food is outstanding too! I didn't get the sherbert and vodka like Sam K. but the food is definitely exquisite!
I had the fettuccine alfredo, chicken parm and lasagna special for $16. The fettuccine was creamy and delicious, the lasagna was soft, well cooked and really good too! I wasn't feeling the chicken parm, the chicken was a little dry, but far from bad!
If Olive Garden is your ideal Italian Restaurant, you probably need to check this place out because you don't know better.
The hostesses were dressed like 40's mafia and the waitresses had on tiny miniskirts- very costumy and cheesy. The decor was kitschy mafia/Sinatra. But the food is yummy, and the portions are huge. The menu didn't have too many selections, which was a bit disappointing. Would I go back? Yep.
This restaurant belongs to my friend's family and she works there. I'd been there a few times before to have a drink at the bar, but I reserved the special party room for my birthday this year and ordered the chicken parm (with the homemade gnocchi as my pasta) and was far from disappointed. Dinner was absolutely delicious, as was the bread and the drinks. Portions were fantastic! Can't wait to go again.
Unlike the previous reviewer said, Domenico's has a very extensive menu, and the staff do NOT dress up like gangsters. She has obviously confused Delmonico's restaurant (by MCC) with Domenico's. There is quite a difference between the 2, and Domenico's certainly deserves better than 3 stars. Just don't confuse them with those cafones at the other place.
Excellent Restaurant. A native Rochesterian friend of mine recommend this place to me, and I fell in love the first time I went there. Try the gnocchi, chicken parmasagina, and fettucini alfredo combination. The bread is delicious too, and between the salad/soup and the main meal, they bring out this small cup of sherbert and pour vodka in it. YeS!
