Review from Rick S.
Glendale, CA
Arriving in NY I was craving a slice of pizza, but I figure I'm in Yonkers so where do I go? I look on Yelp and see lots of good reviews for Dom and Vinnie's. My hotel is within a mile of this place so what's there to lose?
This is a GREAT family-owned Italian restaurant. When you enter the front is the pizzeria part of the place. There you can buy whole pies or slices. All the slices looked fresh and tasty, and I went with a slice of white pizza with ricotta and spinach. Yum!
I hadn't eaten all day so I sat down in their restaurant section. So many good things to choose from, but my mood was for pasta and I ordered ziti bolognese. The pasta arrived in about 10 minutes. It was a large portion served in a large white bowl. The pasta and sauce we piping hot! The pasta cooked perfectly; not soggy and not al dente.
The bolognese was cream-based with meat and tomato. I always thought of bolognese as just tomato-based meat sauce but that shows how much I know! This is the tradition bolognese and was fantastic!
The total came to just over $20 ($2.80 for the slice and $16 for the pasta). I think that's in line for the food and service I received. -

Great little family run Italian place. Very friendly and attentive staff. I had the seafood pasta and loved it. You will too. Next time I'll try their pizza.

I've been eating here with my parents since I was a kid; 20 delicious years and counting... The food is AMAZING and Joe, Mike, and Andy always treat you like family!
For a quick bite, the pizza can't be beat and the salads are always fresh and crispy. If you're staying for a meal, we love their pork chops; you can get them broiled with the peppers and potatoes on the side or as my mom would say, "Pork Chops a la Julie." -

I know a great pizzeria when I see one. This place is a great pizzeria.
The biggest con about this place is it's in a very sketchy neighborhood. They do deliver but I ordered for pick up because I wanted to eat immediately.
I'm assuming it was the owner who runs the cash register and answered the phone because he was extremely polite and seemed to care about customer service (both on the phone and in person at the pick up).
FYI I ordered a large pizza pie with mushrooms and pepperoni. It's thin slice pizza but loaded with enough cheese and sauce to make the slice unstable if you tried to pick it up with your bare hands.
I'd definitely order again when in the mood for pizza. -

Manhattan, NY
First of all, the neighborhood is not sketchy at all. Safe as can be. It is just an industrial road, so it doesn't look like a suburban area. That said, do not worry about any safety issues. I do not know if that is what a couple of reviewers were getting at, but either way, you are fine.
There are many, many find pizza places in Yonkers. This is one of them. However, when you factor in the entrees and desserts, it vaults to #1. The cheesecake is absurdly good; a must have. -

Pretty good pizza, and pasta. Perfect for take-out or a quick stop for a slice. The front is a pizzeria and the back they have an extended restaurant. Great place for any occation.

Excellent food in strange location. But don't let the surroundings scare you away. Inside there is a nice dining room and with plenty of foodies and neighbors. You won't leave hungry.

Incredible Italian food in Yonkers, NY. I've been eating here for 22 years and am amazed that the secret is not out. It may not be more than a dining room in the back of a GREAT pizzeria, but the food is out of this world. Any appetizer, house salad, lightly fried calamari, the pastas, chicken scarpariello, salmon a la chef, and stand-bys like chicken parmagiana as well as 100 other dishes are among the best I've eaten anywhere. A family business worth returning to again and again. Try it and see.

Wow! I stayed in NY for 9 months on a project. I can honestly say I ate here 2-3 days a week. Best Pizza in Yonkers. Best Pizza i have ever had (thin crust). As everyone has said, no nonsense place. Walk in, Call out for a slice and enjoy. If you want sit down then they have a spacious back room where you can enjoy a great meal Not just a pizza joint.
