I don't think I've ever been to a dollar store that 1) isn't ghetto, 2) doesn't smell funky, and 3) isn't understaffed.  I don't come here expecting the aisles to be clear, the shelves to be organized, the line to be short, etc.

That being said, here are just some of the reasons I come here:
* 100-count SCENTED diaper disposal bags
* kitchen drawstring garbage bags
* some spices, like cinnamon (which can be super expensive)
* children's board books
* party favors and supplies
* 50cent greeting cards (you know how pricey cards are these days?)
* other tsotkes I never knew I needed.

Plus, I do think this specific dollar store is better stocked than others (not that I've been to that many).  :)

Yowza!  It's messy, but it's still excellent.   My daughter saw the lady inflating mylar balloons, so we bought one of those.  Yes, it's a dollar.  I saw a slew of pretty gift bags, some about 3 feet tall.  Yes, it's a dollar.   How about 702 reward stickers for kids?  Yes, it's a dollar.

In this day when dollar stores charge more than a dollar, you need to come to Dollar Tree, where they live up to their name.

I went two days before Christmas, and there was no line.  The checker was friendly too.  I asked him about the single-serve wine bottles which were two for a dollar.  His response was that it's good, but be prepared for a jaw-clenching first sip.  Ah, honesty.

When I'm being thrifty and cheap, I go to you for convenience...

But you've got the worst stock of $ merchandise, and your aisles are always messy...

Plus, all the most ghetto people in Union City go to you (C'mon, lady!!  Quit harrassing the cashier to lower down the price of that figurine----It's a f*ckin' dollar store!!!!!  #$%^@$)....

Your lines are always long (see above)...

I'd rather go to the ones in Newark!

This is like any other store, but what makes it extra special is that it has a frozen food and fridge section. A pint of ice cream for a buck cant be beat.

Love this place! I bought tons of nostalgic DVDs, mostly cartoons, & all for a $1 each! I buy my nephew little toys here & coloring books since its so convenient & cheap to buy. ;D

Another thing I like about this place is that I can get hair accessories (i.e. bobby pins) for, yes, $1.. aaaand, if you need some quick gift wrapping accessories come here. You can get all you need plus more without having to spend too much. They have a pretty good gift bag selection.

There are some real special finds too.. so you have to grab them while you can! :)

The reason why I give it 3 stars is 'cos the lines can get quick long & lengthy since they're understaffed sometimes. Plus, the store kinda has a weird, chemical smell. :P

Fun Fact: I like to buy random gifts for friends here.. They have ceramic figurines. Once I gave my friend a nun. HA! ;D
