Avis Rent a Car is usually my preferred vendor, but Dollar had a cheaper price, so I decided to book with them. I rented a mini van for $53 for one day with unlimited mileage, compared to Hertz and Enterprise who charged over $100. To my surprise, their customer service was excellent, compared to the LAX Airport location. The agent was very friendly and gave instructions very clearly. The Dodge Caravan was nice and roomy, spacious enough for 7 people.
However, when I returned my car, they charged me double because I was 2 minutes late, and it wasn't even my fault. I was supposed to return my car by 7:45 am, and I arrived at 7:30 am, but there was no attendant to scan my vehicle. I searched the whole parking lot to find assistance, but still no one. Finally, after 20 minutes, the attendant arrives and scans my car. I look at the bill and it charged me for a two-day rental. I went inside to try to fix the situation, and the agent immediately gave me an attitude. She stated that many people take advantage of their low prices and complain about the smallest things. I reiterated to her that I arrived on time and no attendant was around. She reluctantly credited my account and walked away pissed off. Oh well...
I'd still recommend to rent your cars here, but be sure you return you car at least 30 minutes that you're supposed to. The prices are cheap, so can the customer service.
i rented a vehicle here and it was probably one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. Radio Did not work and the service is terrible. The only thing they offered me was three 10 dollar vouchers for a future rental. Why would anyone want to go back to a place with horrible service.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO RENT A CAR...
So they don't have the best fleet, but they do have really good rates. Everytime the girls take a road trip this is where we rent. They usually have FABULOUS weekly specials...CHEAP weekly specials as well as a really cheap daily rate for any size car.
For example the daily rate for a Compact is : $15.06 and its unlimited mileage. WHAT CAN GET BETTER THAN THAT?!
The rental location itself within the airport is a little bit difficult to find. Its where all the other car rentals are, but they share a building with other smaller car rental companies. So when you see a large strip that almost looks like a large trailer or mobile home type building in the center of the entire lot. Thats where you need to go. There's a sign that says "DO NOT ENTER" right before the driveway that you do need to enter in. We missed it the first 23 times of driving around the damn area looking for it!!!
It's also really easy to book a reservation online as well as modify and cancel it...
TIP: If you make a reservation a month in advance, always double check to see if their rates have changed. We booked a car for 10 days and a month ago our total cost was $178. Then I logged on to change my reservation to a longer time and it was $120. So always check your reservations!!!

My sister rent here a car once....Nice service,good car,nice rates...Not perfect location...
Not worth it. I rented a car this past weekend at Dollar and agree that the price and cars are decent. The service on the other hand is horrible. I returned the car on the 2nd of July and 2hrs later remembered I left my girlfriends sunglasses in the car. I returned to the lot to retrieve them but had been told the car was offsite for cleaning and I would have to contact lost and found. Since then I've called/emailed 2-3 times a day for the past 6 days and counting without a returned call. It would seem nobody answers the phone or checks vmails there. I wasn't expecting them to return the $400 Chanel glasses and it was my bad for leaving them but I was expecting a return call at the very least. I will never use them again...now its off to the mall for a replacement pair of glasses.
