Ok I am through...they keep screwing up my nails.  If I am paying $60 for a gel manicure, my nails should look amazing.  They didn't.  To kind of quote Clueless (since I have a horrible time remembering quotes "It's like a Monet.  It looks great from far away, but up close it's a big mess."  That was my nails.
And to say that one nail technician did a horrible job is one thing...but I had 3!  3 nail technicians couldn't get it right.

Horrible horrible place that gives terrible haircuts and even worse highlights. Plus, the people who run Dolce place are asshats. I don't know about the owners - but the managers are rude and self righteous. They run the place like a cult and force the employees to push products on you. If you complain about the services they make excuses and deny that anything could ever be wrong with their salon. As you can read from the review  posted by the Dolce staffer - clearly they are in denial about the state of affairs over there.

The spa is actually decent, so one star goes to the spa. Zero stars to every other aspect of this monster.

This is Good, You'll want to read this!

I'm ashamed to admit that I WAS a client for 2 1/2 years, because I completely agree with all the Dolce Haters.
I've had Horrible services, from atrocious nails to botched eyebrow waxing and snooty staff.

I was however lucky enough to be seeing the same stylist during this whole period and I actually liked her, most of the time, and she is the only reason I went there and got may hair done.

So here's the deal, I called to make an appt. and I was told that my stylist was no longer working there.....boo.......after a grieving period and not being able to find her I decided I would make an appt. at Dolce anyway since I had a $50 gift card.

I of course ask for the BEST, because I didn't want my hair Fucked up.

I wanted to get some highlights and a cut, I ask the girl for
caramel/ bronze highlights and point out her assistants hair colors to giver her a visual. I also specify NO BLONDE streaks!!!!! I have dark hair and blond streaks make me look like I have gray!

Well near the end of my highlights she says " I put some blonde in there to brighten it up" WTF!!!!!
I bite me tongue and wait to see what happens.

Well Now I have random blond streaks in my dark hair and barely a lighter brown than my own color highlights.........at least she did cut it well    .........as for the styling , she asked me if I liked some volume or a sleek pasted to the head look, of course I like volume, but I got the opposite and I'm sure you saw that coming.

Well if your like me, I always need a day to go home and restyle my hair, in my own way, in my own lighting to really be able to tell if I'm happy, so that's what I decided to do.

So checkout is $185...are you Fucking Kidding me!!!!!!
I paid, I came home and cried!

I'm convinced that ALL these girls have graduated from the Fantastic Sam's School of Hair. DON'T EVER EVER EVER GO TO DOLCE!!!!!

I called in the next morning to speak with a manager, but instead got a snide receptionist who put me on hold, only to com back with the managers offer to Re-do my hair or give me store credit.
OH HELL TO THE NO....I wanted my money back, I don't have time for a re-do.

Long story short...haha.....After arguing with "Spencer" for a good 30-40 minutes.....He tells me that he will in fact refund my money entirely except for the tip ................................
BUT I can NEVER Come back to Dolce because
"were not a good match"...........Seriously he said that to me.

I've NEVER been Banned From Anywhere, let alone a salon that I poured my money into for nearly 3 years.

I've been laughing over this for days, I still cant believe it nor do I care, I never planned on going back anyway but still the idea that they have told me I can never return is Hilarious.

Do you really want to go to a Salon
that 86's people like it's Da Club??????

I've been to Dolce in Chandler for several services.  Unlike some of the reviewers on this site, I've had decent services, ranging from facial peels, massage, to pedicure.  A recent event has made me think twice about continuing my patronage of Dolce & Co.

My boyfriend recently booked a pedicure as a gift for me, and had some troubles getting the "help" there on the phone to pay in advance for the service & gratuity.  Needless to say, it was all handled, he gave them his card number and I had my appointment, and was checked out free and clear, and I signed nothing upon departure.

Then I notice a week later on MY credit card statement is a charge for this recent service -- which was supposed to be a gift!! Dolce had somehow charged my card that they HAD ON FILE instead of charging my boyfriend's card!  We called in and they charged his card, refunded mine-- but no special treatment or condolences were given for this embarrassing and truly terrible action on their part.  When you buy someone a gift, you don't ever plan on them being charged for it.  It further disturbs me that Dolce keeps my card on file.  My boyfriend used to get all his haircuts at the Dolce barber but we're both so bothered by their lack of customer service we're no longer going to go to Dolce anything.

This place just sucks! I had a friend insist I go there with her to get pedicures, so I gave it a shot.

We went in and because it was my first time they had me fill out paper work...real fun. What if I don't want you to know my home address and email, what if I just want you to give me a pedicure? The sourpuss who did my pedicure apparently forgot her personality and charm at home that day. I think she left them next to wherever she left her pedicuring skills. This gal barely gave me a pedicure and basically acted like she would rather be anywhere but there. I tried to be nice and engage her in some sort of conversation...she just sat there. I am not kidding. I got the world's worst pedicure, basically there was no foot massage and I just did regular polish, yet somehow I was charged $45 for this so called pedicure. And because I am not a deadbeat I tipped her $5. I know, I sent the wrong message tipping her, but I felt like it was the right thing to do. So I would have been better off getting a $20 pedicure and buying something for myself with the leftover $30.

Please do not waste your time and money at this place.

I used to really like the idea of Dolce, and actually had a couple of decent (not stellar) services there, but my last experience was beyond horrific and I hope nobody else ever spends a dime there, frankly.

I had the "Director of Aestheticians" give me a bikini wax.   Mind you, I have been through this before.   I don't expect it to be pleasant, I don't expect it to be nice, it is precisely what it is.   Hair being pulled out at the root from a very sensitive area.   Given that, check out the reviews for Suddenly Slimmer, they are *FAR* superior at this service.

The woman who attended to me told me (French / Irish, fair skin, little body hair much of anywhere) that I had the "thickest coarsest hair" she had ever seen.   She took over an hour and left my privates bleeding, bruised, and left with a patchwork of hair that she neglected to remove.   Despite this, she charged $85 and had the gall to charge an extra $10 because she had used a pair of scissors for 15 seconds to trim one area that subsequently remained after this Brazilian wax was "completed".   She actually had to push out two appointments while she was torturing me.      You would think after this sort of experience that Dolce would have done *something* or at least sent me out of there not paying full price.    Nope.

Save your money and your time and avoid this pretentious, unfulfilling and uninspiring location.

Like I always try to remind myself: Don't yelp while frustrated.

I know, I know...all the reviews for Dolce Salon and Spa have been stellar for the most part. I'm afraid this one is going to rip it apart.

Now, please understand that I have been a loyal patron of Dolce Salon and Spa since it opened, I kid you not. Go ahead check their records. With the amount of money I've already spent at Dolce, I could probably throw a grand luau to inhabitants of a small island...complete with non-stop flowing Mai Tais.

I loved it when I could walk into the spa (back in the day...) and James, who used to be one of their front customer service people, would greet me by my first name. I loved it when my former esthetician Kelly would go astray from the menu and give me a custom facial using products that would help my skin rather than going by what was listed on the menu       . I loved it when I gave my complete surrender to my former hairstylist Teresa, and I would come out of there with a fabu haircut. I loved it when I could call the day spa and actually get a real person who can make an appointment for me in a matter of 5 minutes.

Gone are those days, sadly.

It seems that Dolce has lost its interest on real customer service, and is more interested in getting more clients in and out the door as inefficiently as possible.

Case in point #1: I have been trying for three days to get through to a real person (or a robot who talks, I don't care) to make a simple brow wax appointment with my girl, Rheanna. Each time I called I waited for about 10 minutes (precious cell phone peak hour times here!!!) and got nowhere. All I heard was the ramblings of some woman with some faux British accent...for 10minutes!!!

Case in point #2: Do I really have to stand in line like it was the opening day of Star Wars: The Movie? The line is sometimes out the door just to check in or check out, surely there must be a better way. Just seeing that line as you enter the place makes you stressed...where does the pampering begin, people?!!!

Case in point #3: When I am checking-in or checking out, please look at me Mr. Front Desk person with the porcupine haircut...LOOK AT ME!!! Don't give me your " I-am-so-uber-hip-because-I-have-hair-like-a- porcupine's" look. Look at me when we're in a brief conversation, get to know me, and don't sound too monotonous when you ask me: "How was your service today?" I've known this day spa longer than you!!!

Case in point #4: Can you please find better tasting lemonade--the one that actually tastes like lemonade rather than Kool-Aid. I realize that you can't serve wine anymore, so upgrade the lemonade, alright? It's too sugary!

Case in point #5: What is up with the bazaar at the store front? It's like walking into a Hong Kong open market with all the trinkets and doo-dads displayed for sale. No wonder the line to check-in and -out is out the door because clients can't fit...there's too much stuff all over. What ever happened to the clean, minimalistic approach to Zen design?

Frustration, I tell you. Anyway, to make my long story short, I gave up on making an appointment for a brow wax. The e-mail person didn't reply back, which is a shame. Rheanna is an excellent esthetician and brow waxer, I love her. But unfortunately, I don't think she knows that the company she works for is hurting her growing clientele.

And just for the record, I went to the gal that does my mani and pedi for my brow wax. I've always thought that her eyebrows looked super groomed and nicely shaped...and she did a fabulous job with mine (sure, minus the Enya music in the background). And guess what she charged me only 12 bucks!

More on her later...

HEY! I work at Dolce and I came across this site because someone just sent it to me cause of a few things said that are not true!

Maybe this is another salon writing or something, we have never even had a level 4 stylist named Jeremy, and at chandler there are no male stylists at all, so it does not add up!

You can't even believe these reviews because I can tell you, that review is not true, a few of the things said can't be, I would know!

like the one reviewer said, we win awards all the time and a line out the door all the time would say we are good, right?

Every department at Dolce has to go through a bunch of education all the time, and even getting hired is really hard,  so for any service to not be excellent would be rare.

give us a chance and if people would take the time to write positive things like they do with negative it would be different.
Overall these are not even bad most are good.
Thank You

Gift certificates are great, especially if you have never experienced the service of a pricy business, but on the other hand, you use the service because you feel you have to!  Well, this was the case with Dolce.  I never even knew they existed, but I was impressed with the website, so I called to make an appt.

I got one for a cut & style the very next day.  I asked about their "levels" of pricing and was told it was based on the expertise and Dolce's education, but "they were all the same anyway" so said the guy who made my appt. Ok? I now had a 1 pm with Jeremy, a level 4.  I arrived at 12:45 pm because I'm always early.  I was told when I signed in that  I had a 2 pm appt.  I didn't want to be THAT early, but they  "re-organized" just for me, so I would now have a 1:15 pm appt.  No big deal, but when it was 1:25 pm and still no "stylist" yelling my name, I went to the front desk to ask what happened..   "Oh, just 5 more minutes"

Then I asked what level this person would be and I was told a 1.  No! Now I was waiting way too long for a 1 ...  no way!    I wanted a 4.  By this time I had lost all confidence in this whole system and told the front desk girl exactly that.  She said she would get a director (whom I never did meet, by the way)  and get me a stylist who knew what to do with naturally curly hair.  Ok ... there was hope!

She came back with the old "we're going to style your hair free" routine because we REALLY have screwed up AND we're going to give you an expert who started out in Chandler so she has to be good AND she will be working next to a stylist who has curly hair, so between them you're in good hands.  GREAT!

This level 4 (I'd rather not use real names to protect the innocent), after listening to my hair story, used every excuse not to work on my hair...I wasn't in her appt book,  she had another appt,  it would take too long to do my hair, she's not sure about curly hair, etc, so she got the "curly hair expert" who explained what to do, how to cut it and style with a curling iron...level 4 still didn't want to do my hair,  soooo, the Curly Hair expert did the cut and style.

Well, I had no confidence in anyone at Dolce by this time, so I asked her to cut 1/8" off the ends...that wouldn't really mess up anything too bad (am I a sucker, or what?)   She followed my directions, blow dried without a brush, as a told her to do,  and then hot curled with a small barrel.  I do this myself every day....no big deal.  The products used were good, then they offered to sell them to me...no thanks!

After reading the rest of these comments, I'm wondering if I could trade in my gift certificate for an expensive pizza!

My wife's sister works here, so I have wandered around the huge salon a bunch of times and always thought Dolce had a good thing going on: everything was very clean, they had a wide range of services, and even made waiting for your wife a pleasant experience. They even have a waterfall wall.

I took advantage of my extra time in Arizona during a recent family trip and went here for an excellent and thorough facial. The esthetician was extremely knowledgeable about what my skin needed and even more awesomely: quite skilled with the extractor. She also didn't make me feel awkward at all while she glared at every imperfection on my face as I sat under a 900 watt lamp.

A nice place to splurge on some eShave and Dermalogica products after your treatment.

I am from out of town (portland oregon area) and travel to chandler on business at least once/month.  I used the dolce salon the last time I was in town to get my hair cut since I have trouble finding the time while I'm at home.  I really liked the place, they were accommodating to my situation and the stylist that I had was great.  I really liked the cut she gave me, and she gave me a few tips on styling that I hadn't thought of before.  I expected to pay a bit more but it was just as much as I pay at home for a smaller salon (although my salon is nice too, and not too high end 'expensive'.)

I will definitely go again if I have trouble finding time to get an appointment at home.  I still prefer my 'home' salon but dolce is a great alternative.  I really want to try their facials or get a pedicure next time I'm in town!

Dolce is my favorite spot for waxing.  One of the aestheticians, Kimberly, is a real pro when it comes to your more sensitive parts.  ;)  I highly recommend her.

I've only had waxing and pedicures there, but from what I've seen everything is very clean.  A friend I went with had a facial and has raved about it ever since.  My husband has been to their men's spa and felt very comfortable.  I think it's great that they have a spa just for men.

The staff is always friendly and efficient.  I have to say though that it's a bit pricey compared to other nicer spas I've been to.  They also push the products a little bit, which is to be expected.

I met a couple girlfriends at Dolce to catch up on life, and get my first pedicure.  We scheduled Spa Pedicures, and relaxed for a little over an hour while our feet were soaked, massaged, softened and toe nails painted.
When I first entered the spa, I expected the employees to be very stiff and snobby but they were very friendly.  The atmosphere was very relaxing, and smelled like lavender and eucalyptus.  The price wasn't bad at all; for about $60 your feet will be pampered and look great for sandal wearing.
At the end of the pedicure you are offered some products to keep your feet soft and pretty; these are optional purchase, but sometimes I indulge and the products are great!  The last time I purchased a foot file and cucumber foot cream.
My sister and I took my mother as a surprise.  She never experienced a pedicure, and she was a very good sport.  Her feet turned out beautiful, and she said she enjoyed it.  I enjoyed doing a "girlie" activity with my mom and sister.
