i love that this bakery is a family operated bakery. i support my local business owners :)

when i come here i usually see the owner's daughter and son, alice and andrew. alice on a normal basis and andrew during summer when he's helping his parents out (im assuming college).

they have salad, sandwiches, pasta, and desserts... but i mainly come here for their pasta. i like how i can really custom my pasta to my preference or the mood im in, etc... you have the basic pasta items and then certain meats (like chicken) are like an extra dollar. the combination i get the most is bowie pasta with alfredo sauce with chicken, mushrooms, spinach and sun dried tomatoes :) it's yummy!!!! the pasta also comes with a complementary piece of garlic bread

i also like their garlic mash potatoes... that was the first thing i ate after getting ALL FOUR wisdom tooths removed summer before college ^_^ i also like their ice blend mocha drink... on a few occasions i have bought cakes from this place and i have been asked from others where i got them. they look nice, theyre a good price, and they taste good.

overall, this is one of those local place i like going too when im craving pasta ^_^

If I could give 0 stars, I would!

I've been to Dolce Bakery and Cafe twice. My first visit was ok. I was working on a group project with four other people. We decided we would not be eating so we all got beverages. The service was ok, nothing special, but our server was nice. Our group decided to plan another meeting at the Dolce Bakery & Cafe the following week. This experience was far worse! Our group decided to chat while we waited for our fifth member; they arrived about 20 minutes later. We wanted to wait for him to arrive before we ordered. When he got to our table we proceed to chat for a bit. The waitress came over and asked us if we would like to order, we said something along the lines asof  "we are ok for right now".  About 20 minutes later a woman, who I found out later to be the owner, came over to us and asked if we are planning on ordering.  She didn't stop at that, she proceeded to tell us that this is a restaurant and if we want to sit in the restaurant we have to order something.  Now, there are many ways to say this to us.  She spoke to us was with an extremely rude attitude.  I told her that we have been talking and hadn't looked at our menus yet and we hadn't decided on what we would like. She then said would you like me to take your menus out of your way in the same rude tone. I told her that we would like to look at them because as I said a minute ago, we haven't had a chance to look at them yet. As an intelligent person, I am aware that I have to order food or drinks when I'm at a restaurant. What I didn't appreciate was the way in which the owner spoke to us, she was completely condescending and talked to us like we were children, I am 26 years old thank you very much. The restaurant was not full by any means. It was a Friday afternoon with maybe 4-5 tables, including us.

Bottom line: If we were approached differently we would go back. We left with a bad taste in our mouth. And, we ended up ordering food and we never received part of our order.

THis place was just ok. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. It was just ok. My bf and I stopped here for a bite on the way back home to L.A. We just happened to pass by the spot so we checked it out. I ordered the french toast breakfast and my bf ordered the pizza.

The service was really nice. Every one there was answered our questions and we were always being checked on. Service was pretty fast. We got the food and it was ok. Nothing to rave about but a cool little spot to stop at and grab a bite. I'd probably vist again. Not a place I'd recommend to friends or anything though. I didn't try their pastries. My boyfriend got a fruit tart.

This is my 3rd time eating at this bakery.  The last couple times I have eaten here im not sure what the cashiers name is but she is  the asian girl at the front counter. She was so very rude she obviously does not know how to smile and argued with me over a garden salad i called into change on my order. She has a very bad disposition to be working up front with people. If management reads this please do something about this girl she is too young to be mad at the world. Other than that my sandwich was very good.

Food was pleasantly better than I thought, but service was nonexistant. I also didn't like the feel of the place, I didn't find it very inviting. If I needed to grab some food in that area again I would get it to go. I really just couldn't figure the place out...they seat you and take your order. Once they bring your food you never see the waitress again, really. She never even brought us a check.

Fool me once? Shame on you.

Fool me twice? Shame on me.

Fool me three times? Well...thats just because I am a moron for bakeries.

The first two I have been snubbed/ignored.

This time I decided would be my last attempt. As I looked around I was shocked at how high they were charging for their baked goods.

1.25 for a cream puff  a little bigger than a sliver dollar?  A small wedge of cake for almost 5???

With my luck a guy chatting with his co worker (again almost no one in the place) decides to come over to me because I just wont go away.

I get the 5 buck cake slice.

He puts in a small container and runs off to chat again and I'm on my own to find a fork.

I almost took one of their dining in metal forks since I left to forge for myself.

The cake was sad. It was like a mix between Jello, cake mix and cool whip. That and the size was pathetic.

For 1 dollar more I could have gotten two amazing cupcakes from My Delight and each would be slightly bigger (and way fresher tasting)

If I want to go to a huge bakery I will go to Portos. They know how to do things right.

Went there for lunch and also hired this company for catering services for a private party. I was really impressed with their catering. Price was on the higher side, but totally worth it.

The lunch was very fresh and the pasta we ordered was yummy! Venue is clean and lots of room.

    Atmosphere:
I passed by this place so many times over the years and never bothered to go in. To be honest, from the outside it does not look that appealing. But a friend of ours invited us for breakfast. As soon as you walk in, the place is HUGE! The place was really nice inside with plenty of tables. They have a bakery section when you first walk in. Then to the right is the restaurant. (1 Star)

    Taste:
I just ordered the basic: Belgian Waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was good. The taste wasn't mouth watering. But I enjoyed eating it. I also did like the Free Drink with the entree. My wife had the Berry Belgian Waffles and she was really impressed by the taste. Even took the left over sauce home to put on toast the next morning. (1 Star)

    Price:
Same as a Denny's and IHOP. (1 Star)

    Service:
The girl taking my order was nice. She was always checking if we needed anything. (1 Star)

    Overall:
It was a cool little spot for breakfast or lunch. I would go again if I was invited. But I wouldn't go here on my own. (1 Star)

When I first walked into Dolce Cafe & Bakery, the first thing I thought was: Wow, what a massive space! The left side of the palace is the bakery section, center section appears to be a cafeteria-style area where the sandwiches are made, and the right is the dining/restaurant area.

I have never actually dined here but have gotten take-out on several occassions as well as picked up a cake or two for colleagues' birthdays and what not.

The caprese sandwich here is very good and served on a thick focaccia (sp?) bread. The salads are freshly tossed and their pastries/cakes are excellent. I have not been disappointed in any of my selections from Dolce, so far.

They are located in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

Ok, I am torn.  I have been here twice.  The food both times has been excellent.  Really, excellent.  I got something different both times.  I am also a food thief and stole food off the plates of those I dined with and their food was also great.  That is where our dining experience was good at Dolce.

    However...

I like to come here when I feel like having a dessert to-go that's a little fancier than the ones sold at grocery stores, since I'm completely unimpressed with any of the bakeries in our area.  I've tried close to 10 different desserts and they are all pretty good, although I haven't had anything that has knocked my socks off.

Even though they tout themselves as a cafe, I haven't eaten here, so this review is strictly for their bakery section.  The service is usually pretty good and it's always clean and well kept.

I came here the other day in the morning to get some cupcakes thinking I would get them fresh since it was about 11a.m. so I ordered 4 cupcakes 1 chocolate 1 vanilla and 2 red velvet.  So I got my box and went home but as I opened the box they got my order wrong gave me 2 chocolate instead of my 2 red velvets and I thought they were going to be all soft and easy to bite into but when I picked them up they were all frozen....I had to leave them out and eat them later when I got out of work to enjoy them.  When I did get to eat them they were ok but damn at least let me know ahead of time.  I havent eaten here but if I do hopefully the food is better then my bakery experience.

I came here once when my sister suggested it for her lunchtime break.

It's very clean and the setup is really nice.

They have a counter full of sweet, very sweet, sweets.
Their cafe is a small. I think their selection of sweets is bigger than their sandwiches and drinks.

The food is good. Nothing spectacular. I think it's a bit overpriced for what you're actually getting. Each sandwich was like $10.

I'm willing to give this place another try though.

OhhhMeeeGeee. I love the idea of bakery cafés because of three reasons:
    1. Bakery= sweet goodies
    2. Café= coffee and tea
    3. Food= simple and yet delicious- sandwiches, salads, soup, etc.

Oh excuse me for my rant.. this one of the best bakery cafes in the Inland Empire. Bakery+ Café+ Food = Yummmm.

The Flower Tea Cookies are delightful. The brown ones are chocolate and the green ones are sugar and the middle actually has green tea. At first I was disappointed with the green tea one because there wasn't any green tea flavor. But after I consumed it, my taste buds definitely caught the green tea taste as the flavor lingered for awhile.

The Oatmeal Cranberry raisin cookie was O-K. The cookie was a bit hard, sort of like a scone.  I have to say, I had better.

The fruit tart was awesome. And cream puff (which comes in vanilla or chocolate and made to order) was just as good.

I had to fight the urge, but the cream cheese brownie shined out and sounded so good. If it weren't so late in the evening, I would have tried their coffee drinks. Oh well, another reason to come back!

Just note that after 6pm bake goods are buy one, get one free because I noticed the sign by the counter. Even though I stop in after 6pm, the cashier did not mention that special. Hmmm, maybe he forgot.. so if you see the sign don't forget to point it out. More bang for your buck!

3.5 Stars at most. I really like the desserts and cakes here, but I don't like any of their food. I think they are overpriced for what you get. However I don't mind paying some extra for their desserts.

Location: Not bad, next to some shops in a center. Off Central. Parking is OK.

Atmosphere: Not bad, their cafeteria style is....Unique. I when I go inside I feel as if I am intended to get my food, bring it to a vacant table, eat it, clean up my tray, and return to work.

Service: People behind the counter seem nice, but that's all you get to see from them. Its a place where you order your food and leave off with it. Where you go is of no interest to them. NEXT!

Food: As stated above, I go there for their desserts. I have tried many of their pastas and salads and feel they over charge for the amount and quality. One could find better food at Costco, however their desserts are the only thing keeping me from returning. Cakes are delicious, and bakery goods are wonderful. I don't really eat muffins, "Muffins are for people who don't have the nads to order cake, for breakfast"

Sanitation: Pretty good, nothing to complain about.

Overall: Desserts only for me at this place. Maybe ill try the food there again and report back.

My daughter and I got the 2 meals for $30 which came with choice offer appetizer and dessert to share. The spinach and artichoke dip was sooo good, served with small toasted  bruschetta rounds, auuu. Then, for our meal we got the chicken contadina, the sauce was a ligh creamy tomato saucev over bow tie pasta with chicken, I think I would like to get the same dish wih shrimp next time. Dessert was strawberry fresca, a very light but flavorful cake with strawberries and a light whipped cream frosting. I will go back for breakfast, I have a good feeling I will be happy with breakfast too. Atmosphere was modern and clean, and our waiter was attentive without bugging. I do recomend. I peaked at the bakery and was full of decadent looking beautiful creations, didn't buy anything because I was full and had eaten too much as it was. Can someone roll me out the door?

After having a nice dinner in the same shopping center where this bakery is located, my family and I decided to stop here to pick up some dessert for later on in the evening.
I was rather surprised by the number of selections available. The desserts looked amazing and there was a good selection to choose from.
The lady at the counter was friendly, patient, and helpful.
We ended up choosing the Red Velvet cake, the marble cake (which are available by the slice), Eclairs (large or mini w/ vanilla or chocolate custard) and a swan cream puff.

Each dessert was good. For the prices we paid ($3.95 each dessert), we expected a little more.

Just needed a random place to grab breakfast and catch up. Dolce caught my eye as we were driving past.

On weekends, they have some kind of buffet or cafeteria style hot breakfast. On weekdays, the only breakfast they have are croissant sandwiches. Smoked turkey, egg & provolone or Honey ham, egg, & cheese for $3.75. We were looking more for a hot breakfast but why not?

The croissant sandwiches are a bit on the oily side but you can't go wrong with a croissant sandwich. It's solid here.

There is ample seating here and it's rather quiet in the morning.

Dolce Cafe and Bakery is A-OK in my book.

If I can give them zero stars I would.

The thing that is giving them a really bad review is there service to those who order cakes from them.

Their red velvet is tasteless. The first time I tried it, it was delicious but the second time we ordered it was flavorless. I tried getting another cake from them to at least replace the one we complained about and barely touched but instead they tried having me buy another one and only credit me a quarter of what I paid for but they specifically said they were going to replace it any time no charge. Instead they went back on there word.

I guess one lost customer to them is nothing. Now they will get horrible reviews from me everywhere they are on.
They're only loyal to those who don't complain about there food but if they do get a complaint they don't try to fix it to keep there customers.

Food and baked delights were pretty good, service was ehh. Don't know her name but the bakery girl wasn't too thrilled to be helping me it seemed. The ambiance is nice however and I'd go back there only because it's not another Starbucks, free wifi, spacious, and the food. Dealing with the staff, not so much. Next time anyone handling customer service needs to step up their game and be more welcoming. Yes, you may be having a day, but little do you know, your customers can see it clearly.

Could've gotten a higher rating, but for now it's JUST A-ok!

This restaurant is a healthy and delicious! I went to there last Sunday for lunch. I ate a salad that is with strawberry, spinach and nuts. it was amazing :)
The appearance was pretty and taste was also sweet and good.  I ordered pasta for main meal. This pasta was bow-tie and sauce is tomato cream. There were two garlic breads on the top. It was very yummy :) There were many kinds of cakes in show case, but I had no chance to try them. If I come to here again, I want to try!

This place was my hidden little getaway after a really sad day... I didn't have food but I sat in the dining area and had coffee and a big slice of carrot cake. It was delicious !! A friend of mine had clam chowder and she said it was really good also.

If you don't like big crowds and just need a place to grab a bite in private or if you just want to sit and have a baked good and coffee I would suggest Dolce Cafe as a place to give a try to.

You have the option to serve yourself cafeteria style or do sit down dining.
If there to just pick up a baked good then there is a bakery counter with lots to choose from and a coffee bar for on the go eating also.

Prices were average for this area and I would say I need to go back and actual try the food next time to give it a hire rating.

Somehow, I stumbled upon Dolce just as they were opening up and have been a loyal customer ever since.

I do like the regular food items, (soups and salads are awesome) but their desserts are what keeps me coming back over and over again.

They have very courteous and smiling staff, neat set-up and casual environment.

I also have to give a shout out to B.R. because YES the strawberry lemonade is amazing!

TOO PRICEY!....for food that is ok. I was hoping it would be more health conscious but instead I got starchy white pasta and enriched conditioned doughy bread. NOT a choice place for those of us who demand WHOLE grains. The foccacia bread was too fluffy, which I questioned if it was processed elsewhere. Shouldn't they bake their own bread since they are after all a bakery? They do however serve salad made of real fresh green lettuces, NO iceberg here. The baked goods were pretty good. The bread pudding was tasty, but its no Claim Jumper. The pastries look better than they actually taste, but its still slightly above average in my opinion.
They restrict the breakfast lunch and dinner menu too. Only at certain times and days. Which is the worst thing any restaurant could do, especially a bakery! If it's because of limited prep and cooking space something is def wrong because they have a very large facility.-What are they thinking?

    Was this review …?

If it wasn't for that deal they had going on, It would get a 3 star review for being A-OK, but because the portions were big and an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a desert only cost $25 and the service was good it gets an extra star.

Their crabcakes were pretty standard tasting. There wasn't anything particularly special about them. I actually wish there was some sort of dipping sauce to them since they are deep fried. But overall, the crabcakes were alright.

My boyfriend got their Steak and Fries with an Aioli dipping sauce. He liked it.

I got the pesto pasta that had artichokes and sundried tomatoes with chicken and it was really good. It pretty much had all the elements of a pasta I enjoy. And the pesto wasn't too oily greasy (like it can sometimes be). This pesto pasta was really creamy. It also came with 2 pieces of garlic french bread.

The desert we got with that special they had going on was the marble slice of cake. The frosting tasted really light and fluffy. Overall, it tasted pretty standard and wasn't really to die for or anything.

I'd probably come back here to try their pasta bar that some reviews were raving about, try more of their desserts or to try out that 2 for special again.

Overall a pretty good first impression.

random fact: THIS PLACE IS MASSIVE LOOKING INSIDE. I didn't feel like I was in the IE when inside. It had an LA vibe to it.

The Chicken Canneberge Sandwich is my absolute favorite. When I don't know what to eat, it's my fallback. I've also used Dolce's bakery for a Wedding Cake, and a Graduation Cake. Both came out looking amazing, and I would suggest them to anyone looking for a vendor to create a custom cake.

Came here with a Groupon. Carrot cake is brilliantly done, Steak Fritte excellent--get it before the rumored change of menu!

Hubby & I got here around 4:30 for an early dinner and the place was deserted. Very thoughtful waiter with plenty of helpful suggestions.

Strawberry lemonade: The flavor was genuine, fresh, and bold, though too sweet for my taste

Crab cakes: bland but not bad

Potato salad: black olives (which I removed)? Seriously, can you use real ones please? But the celery was fresh and the taste overall was okay; nothing special.

Steak panino: tasted funny, and bread, while freshly baked, was doughy in parts. Hubby liked it better than I did, which is why we switched near the end of the entrees.

Steak Fritte: soooo good! Perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful; came with onions and au jus, but they weren't really necessary. Mouthwatering.

Fries: came with the steak fritte. Hubby thought they were nothing special.

Carrot cake: as I bit into it, I said, "I forgive them for the olives, and the bread, and the crab cakes!" The icing was that whipped cream stuff that you just die for, with a few almonds as topping, and the filling was a classic cream cheese om nom nom. I was DYING! It took me about 15 minutes to eat the thing and every bite gave me shivers.

Bread pudding a la mode: Hubby had bought a tray of Vons bread pudding last week; it was cheaper and, according to him, better.

Overall, would recommend this place for its carrot cake and Steak Fritte but not much else, given that I haven't tried much else. They seem to do absolutely awesome with their baked goods. We talked with the waiter after, and got the impression that they were working to bring the restaurant up to the level of the top-notch bakery.

    We'll be back.

Our group met here again on Saturday and this time I tried their minestrone.  I wasn't really impressed.  It was just a bunch of vegetables in a watered down broth.  Meh, I'll have to pass on that.  The creamy tomato basil that another friend got looked far superior and from the way he devoured it, I'm sure it was delicious.

I got my usual Napoleatano but I was tempted to get the pick two for $25 where you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert but I snagged 3 slices of cake for my last hurrah on my way out.  Cake is $3.75 a slice but it's made fresh everyday with authentic homemade whipping cream - none of that canned frosting here.  I took home the Strawberry Sorbet, Marble Melody and the Peaches and Cream.  I will be in cake heaven until boot camp starts on Monday.

I've never had lunch at this place, although my coworker has brought us treats from there before and they were good.  I had the Classic Italian Panini... not really what I was expecting.  I think if it came without the spicy mustard, I would have given it 4 stars.  The tomato bisque is pretty good, though.   I would definitely go back for dessert and for lunch I would try the Chicken Florentine Panini- my coworker had it and it looks delicioso!

Dolce is quite a cute little place to go if you want a casual and yummy meal.

I've only been once, but I will definitely be going back soon.

The pasta was really really good, but the marinara sauce I got was lagging a bit.

Their bread was really really really really really really really really really good. I'm quite a fan of bread, and when the waiter brought us a roll, it was nice and warm with a crispy crust and soft inside. I dipped it into my clam chowder, which was incredible.

I also ordered a Pink Flamingo smoothie and found it repulsive, but I'm sure it was just me because my cousin seemed to enjoy it.

As I was paying the bill, I took a gander at the various cakes and pastries they have. They all were beautifully put together and seem like things I definitely want to go back to try. They even had these cute little cream puff swans!

    Now for the negatives...

We never received an appetizer that we ordered...and I'm 100% sure I ordered it, because I didn't know how to pronounce it and had to point it out to the waiter.

Also, despite the good quality of the bread, I wasn't digging the garlic bread. It just seemed rather, well, not garlic-y. It was also cut into an semi-awkward triangle-ish thing. This kinda dampened my mood, because garlic bread is my favoriiiite.

The menu didn't seem too vegetarian friendly either...being a pescetarian, there were only about 4 menu items that seemed to be acceptable for my dietary preferences..

but nonetheless, I enjoyed my meal here throughly, and for $6.50 for a dinner sized bowl of pasta, I definitely can't complain too much.

Is there any chocolate in your hot chocolate? :s

I've given this place more than one chance. Honestly, they haven't got anything to drool over. Not worth it.

I've only had the cakes, so my review might be discriminating...

My friend sometime last here bought the tiramisu cake for a birthdayparty and it was to die for.

But recently,  came back to buy my sister and my friend a whole cake individually (2 separate parties).  The tiramisu was way overpirced at about $35 so I decided to go for the $25 cakes and I ordered a Strawberry Fresca and a Mangoes and Cream.  They looked so pretty I just wanted to bite into it.  But when it came around to each party and biting into it, it was not that great and lacked flavor.  The custard in the Mangoes and Cream didn't have a distinct flavor - it tasted like plain gelatin.  And for the price, it was not worth it.  I could go to the Chinese Bakery close to home and order the same type of strawberry cake but for 2x the size and 2x the flavor for 1/2 the price.  So if you're any good at algebra, you would think otherwise about ordering the fruit cream cakes here.

Dropped by for coffee and a cookie.  The orange/cranberry/raisin cookie was bland and the coffee was stale and weak. The staff was less than friendly.  All in all a rather unpleasant experience!

Can't go anywhere else for a better strawberry shortcake (they call it Strawberry Fresca).

Haven't tried the food but the two Asian people at the bakery have always been courteous and patient each time I've been there. Quite possibly the owners... Been coming back for over a year now.

The pasta here is some of the best that I've had! I love that you can create your own pasta and salads, adding to it whatever you desire. I've tried a few of the different sauces they have to offer for their pastas and have just loved them all. I forgot what it's called, but there's a slightly spicy, red marinara type sauce that is just the best. SO GOOD!! If you're in the mood for some tasty pasta, you really, REALLY, REEEAALLLYYY don't want to go to Pasta Bravo. That stuff is just artificial compared to Dolce's pasta. Actually, I think Pasta Bravo pasta is artificial and nasty tasting, PERIOD!

Seriously, try their pasta. You'll love it!!!

P.S. The dining area is spacious and comfortable, and they offer free WiFi access.
