    Luscious, luscious chocolates.

Really, the best ever. Let me count the ways:

    1. They are beautiful. Presentation is key for gourmet chocolate, as they can potentially make excellent gifts. They come in all sorts of delicate shapes, e.g., stars, hearts, raspberries, heart-shaped boxes (for a ring!). Take a look (http://media1.px.yelpc...). One of the chocolates was even gold-flecked.

    2. They taste exquisite. This is the most important factor to me. I had a sample of the peppered rosemary orange...amazing. Each chocolate was infused with a unique taste and subtle sweetness; I tried Champagne, Raspberry, Salted Caramel, and Passionfruit (http://media1.px.yelpc...). My favorites were Champagne and Passionfruit...those are must haves. Raspberry was amazing too...as for Salted Caramel...that is the only one where I can say, I was not completely blown away. Better than Godiva though? Yes, without a doubt.

    3. They are painstakingly packaged...with a ribbon and a little lavender flower, no less. Inside are little pictures and descriptions of each chocolate in the package (just the ones you got!) just in case you forgot which was which (http://media1.px.yelpc...).

I looked through their chocolate catalogue at the check out and was told they actually have other chocolates inside! I'd wanted to try the Honey and the Meyer Lemon...next time :) These are truly the perfect treat for a chocolate lover, especially one who appreciates a little adventure.

    Divine chocolate!

My wonderful husband gave me a box of their decadent sweets for my birthday.  Gourmet chocolates with flavors that were unique treats on my palate, like "Chile" = dark-chocolate infused with poblano and fresh habanero chiles (crazy but delicious!).  Other highlights included Deep Dark Chocolate, Just-Picked Raspberry, Meyer Lemon, Champagne, Passion Fruit, Tahitian Vanilla Bean.... Beautifully packaged with little paper slip inserts with a picture and description of each candy.

I'm going to have to visit and choose my own box of delicacies!

What to do for stocking stuffers besides the usual stuff?  The obvious answer was "Dolce Bella Chocolates" of course!  Calling Audrey (the owner) asking her what flavors she had on hand and if she still had the 72% dark chocolate Santa and yes...she did!

While I was sampling the new chocolate candy flavors available, Audrey handed me a cup of the most delectable hot chocolate ever!  It was just right...as Goldilocks would say....and I had to purchase the bag of 61% Guittard chocolate wafers so I could recreate this blissful drink!  Each bag of chocolate wafers comes with a recipe for the "Hot Drinking Chocolate" good for four servings.

I ended up buying the dark chocolate almond toffee in the 8 oz bag (larger size but there is a smaller 4 oz bag also available), the milk chocolate almond toffee in the 8 oz bag, the milk chocolate Santa and the 72% dark chocolate Santa, the Hot Drinking Chocolate Wafers and a 12 piece chocolate candy variety box.  The candy box went to a very dear friend who is a nut about chocolates...now he's a fan!

Thank you Audrey for choosing to share your artistic and sweet business with us!  Merry Christmas and here's wishing you more fans in the new year 2010!  Hugs...btw the hubby and the son were very happy to see that "Santa" brought them Dolce Bella Chocolates!

    These chocolates are AMAZING!

Everything is made from scratch .. no extracts, preservatives, or artificial flavorings.

You can definitely taste the difference in these delectable chocolates compared to even Godiva, Joseph Schmidt, and especially See's.

The flavors are so fresh. I can't believe they even pick the berries in the morning and incorporate them into the cream and ganache.

I got to try these at the Yelp Elite Event at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga and can't stop thinking about them.  Aside from traditional chocolates (dark chocolate, vanilla bean), they also offer fresh fruit ganache like Passionfruit, Rasberry, and Fraise de Boise.

Prices are reasonable. You can choose your own chocolates in an assortment of 12pc ($17) or 24pc ($30) and they have cute 2pc or 4pc boxes available too (for those who lack self control?).

I'm looking forward to trying their edible hand molded edible box which contains 5 more chocolates! Muahahaha. Chocolate heaven!

I kept mumbling to my self...dark chocolate is good for the heart...dark chocolate is good for the heart...that's what gave me the justification not to eat, but to devour samplings of Dolce Bella Chocolates.

My heart was fortunate that I attended two functions that Dolce Bella was a part of; the latest was this weekend's Community Fight Against Cancer benefiting the Lance Armstrong foundation.  My oh my...I think Dolce Bella brought along the entire lineup, and yes, I did do more than just sample.

My favorite was the Passionfruit, followed by the Tahitian Vanilla and the Chili.  The passionfruit was sweet and acidic at the same time, and I heard is the most popular.  The chili was a surprise.  Dried habaneros and anchos didn't hit your mouth until it was halfway down your throat, giving you a combination of hot and sweet that doesn't make sense...but tastes good!

Should I feel guilty about eating these free samples?  I just keep thinking it's good for you.

My friends served Dolce Bella as wedding favours and they know a thing or two when it comes to good chocolate.

Everyone working there is most friendly and helpful. Since the flavours rotate, I have called before going and the lady cited every flavour they had on hand over the phone. Once I got both passion fruit and gianduja, which looks like twins, so Rachel folded and tucked the identifying cards next the pieces. Did I mention they gave you samples?

All the flavours are good but my favourite has to be the fleur de sel as the caramel was almost perfect (with La Maison du Chocolat being the perfect). Also, the price is reasonable for artisanal chocolate. What's not to love?

Wow!  This chocolate shop is AMAZING!!  They had delicious and creative flavors and the chocolate was excellent quality.  I tried the fleur de sel, the caramel (in both milk and dark chocolate), meyer lemon, and fig.  They happened to have samples out of the last two which was the only reason I tried them.  Normally I would have just stuck with caramels and dark chocolates, but I was so glad I tried them as they were delicious.  It was enough to convince me to take home a box of an assortment.

The sales girl, Rachel, was very friendly and told me about the fresh cream puffs they also made.  Of course I then had to pick up a bunch to bring to a friends house.  We devoured them.  I loved the freshness and the quality ingredients - I could see that they used actual vanilla beans in the cream.  So tasty!

A few things you should know about me at present:
    1. My right ankle is slightly sprained.
    2. I'm tired from wedding planning.
    3. We're moving into our new home this weekend.
    4. I'm going to marry the sweetest man in the world!!!

Wedding planning is exhausting! Extremely, exhausting :o)

My fiance and I did a chocolate tasting last year shortly after he proposed. Today, I made the final selections for our wedding favors. I decided on two chocolate hearts. One heart will be filled with Passion Fruit, the other with Tahitian Vanilla. Feeling tired and stressed out- all that melted away when I stepped into Dolce Bella Chocolates. The smell of chocolate in the air immediately calmed me down. Audrey the owner of Dolce Bella Chocolates was a joy to work with in picking our wedding favors. Audrey is a chocolate expert and produces a high quality chocolate. What I love about working with Audrey is that she is personable, kind and humble. I picked up some dark chocolate caramels and dark raspberry chocolates for my fiance. I also picked up a small box of the Passion Fruit and Fleur de Sel Caramel chocolates for myself.

Next week, I'm going to pick up some chocolate bunnies for our Easter baskets. Dolce Bella is a great gift for any occasion!

I have always heard good things about Dolce Bella, but I have not had the opportunity to actually experience the chocolates themselves.  After sampling a few of the creations such as the grand marnier dark chocolates, vanilla bean, and even the tarty lemon, I would have to say I am quite hooked.  I love the fact that it is so delicate, yet so intensely flavorful with every morsel.

You've got a new fan, Dolce Bella.

I dropped by here to pick up some chocolates since I've been wanting to visit for a while. I ended up getting a box of 12 and a box of 2: http://www.yelp.com/bi.... The box of 12 consisted of Gianduja, Deep dark chocolate, Just-picked raspberry, Honey and thyme, Tahitian vanilla bean, Lavender, Chewy caramel, Peppered Rosemary orange, Meyer lemon, Champagne, Dark fleur de sel caramel, and passion fruit. The box of 2 consisted of the Deep dark chocolate and Just-picked raspberry.

Audrey was very friendly, and she was happy to give me a Just-picked raspberry to taste, in addition to the Meyer lemon. Both were very good. She also did a great job of wrapping up my box with purple ribbon and artificial flowers, and she included little pieces of paper for each chocolate with descriptions on them. Definitely one of the best chocolatiers I've been to.

    EDIT:
My favorite chocolates: Passion fruit, Champagne, Just-picked raspberry, Deep dark chocolate, Dark fleur de sel caramel

Pretty good chocolates: Tahitian vanilla bean, Gianduja, Meyer lemon, Chewy caramel

My least favorite chocolates: Honey and thyme, Peppered rosemary orange, Lavender

Also, if you purchase $100 worth of items from Dolce Bella (over as many visits as you want), you get $10 off your next purchase.

I think Willy Wonka said it best with the word, "Scrumdidilyumptious"

Can't think of a more elegant way to say it other than you HAVE to try it...These probably had to be the freshest chocolate truffles I have EVER had in my life. I like chocolate, but this really brings it to a whole new level. They don't melt in your hand, but they are soft and the perfect consistency when you bite into them. So fluffy and rich...

I tried these at the yelp elite event and they were perfection. The dark chocolate with gold on top was my favorite. The passion fruit, espresso, raspberry, vanilla bean, and mint were all delicious as well. I tried them all (went back for seconds...thirds...) and though I'm not one of those "box of chocolates" lovers, if I got a box of these I would pretty much be the happiest girl ever.

Love the amazing chocolates from Dolce Bella.

side note: I've heard of chocoholics, but I ain't never seen no chocohol. We've got an epidemic people...people who love chocolate but don't understand the rules of word endings. (- demetri martin)

I've been here half a dozen times now, stopping by to pick up chocolates to give as presents. I've been very happy with Dolce Bella. They have delicious and unique flavors, and they're wrapped in cute little boxes with a ribbon and flower as well.

So far, my favorites have been the chewy caramel, fleur de sel, and passion fruit. Audrey, the owner, is always very sweet and helpful. You can tell that she truly loves what she does.

I love how the shop has seasonal chocolates (like handmade Easter eggs and hearts for Mother's Day), and they have a frequent customer card (if you spend $100, you can get a discount I believe). Sometimes they also have drawings--one time, they were giving away free tickets to the Chocolate Salon in SF!

I sampled during the yelp event on Wednesday.....

I think I need to sample some more to see if they are better than the local chocolate makers here in Santa Cruz "my mind is a little fuzzy" :-P

My favorite- the raspberry... high quality product and well worth the price

I disliked Saratoga immensely growing up.... now that I am older and I have the freedom to come and go as a please... I can suck up my anti-ness and visit Dolce Bella for some goodies.

Now i'm normally not a chocolate guy; I don't really find  myself ever eating plain chocolate bars.  But one look at Dolce Bella's truffles at the yelp event, and I couldn't resist.  The dark chocolate ones were my favskies, but the other flavors, passion fruit, raspberry, mint, etc., were just as bomb.

The chocolates are made and formed by hand, so you know they're fresh.  I've never had fluffier truffles.  Our group was so addicted that we went back a handful of times for more.

Hell, I took a business card, just in case I ever screw up again with a lady friend... cuz these truffles can fix just 'bout anything.

I have no shame.... you all already know that.

Is that why I had one round of chocolates, made a u-turn got another round of chocolates, and then tried to think of a disguise so I could go back for another round of chocolates??  I knew I should always carry a fake moustache with me!

Anyways... on to the chocolates.  Had them at the winery event, and haven't stopped thinking about them since.  Starting with the owner, who is an absolute angel..... I know she realized I had knocked off at least half of her supply, and yet she didn't push me over the side to my death.  She was actually so sweet about me eating all her samples.... then again, maybe she was too afraid to come between a fat kid and his candy!

The chocolates tasted like what they were supposed to be, but without being overwhelming.  The meyer lemon chocolate tasted just like meyer lemons, without being too much like it.  The mint chocolate was amazing.... lightly minty, but not fake minty like bad chewing gum.  The vanilla chocolate.... same thing, had a real vanilla taste.

All in all, these were some damn good chocolates... and I didn't think I ever knew the difference.  I can't say I've bought chocolate in a while, so I can't comment on the price, but it seemed totally reasonable.

I love this cute chocolate shop a lot.  I only recently found out about it a couple of months ago.  The owner is really nice.
The owner makes them in the kitchen and the time we went in she was making them so we could see.  The kitchen is very clean.

The flavors of the chocolates are magnificent and you can tell that they're made fresh with fresh ingredients.  The chocolate itself is of high quality.  I've tried many of the flavors, but the one that stood out was the dark chocolate mint.  I immediately fell in love with it.  It tastes like you're eating a mint leaf but not as strong because of the freshness.  It reminded me of a mojito drink unlike a lof of other mint chocolates I've tried that taste fake or like a Junior mint or York Peppermint Patty.

My #1 favorite right now is the chewy dark chocolate caramel followed closely by the mint.
I heard that the owner also makes pies there but only in a small batch as all the ingredients are fresh so once she sells out then that's it until the next time.  I'd love to buy one to try when she makes them.
The cream puffs are excellent as well.
I highly recommend everyone to try the chocolates here.

I've always been a fan of giving sweets as a thank you, thinking of you, whatever- so when I decided that working at Greenpeace was just too challenging with my current schedule *sniff*sniff* I wanted to bring them a special little something on my last day.

After selecting one of their amazing boxes I realized that some of the staffers are vegan and wouldn't be able to share these chocolates! To my surprise, the lady behind the counter immediately offered several vegan choices! I went with the dark chocolate covered almonds. They looked so tempting, I almost wanted to sneak one for myself! hehe.... Not only are these chocolates handmade in the shop, they use the most amazing ingredients (also usually locally grown!). I'll be sure to frequent Dolce for all of my future confectionery needs!

    Delicious!

The Just Picked Raspberry is one of the tastiest fruit and chocolate creations I've experienced.  I like Vosages, and they used to be my top chocolatier for their uniqueness (try their Gogi berries and pink Himalayan salt bar, or perhaps the applewood Bacon and Alder wood smoked salt?), but Dolce Bella just blew my mind with simple ingredients (Rasperry? just dark chocolate and raspberry...really?).  The freshness and the beautiful presentation of these confections really set them apart.

I like me my chocolate, and after reading the reviews on Yelp, I figured this place was a shoo in. I decided to brave it and got a box of chocolates for the bf's parents.

I was impressed by the way the chocolates looked and the packaging, which is great. I purposefully picked all the chocolates that incorporated some kind of fruit flavor in them because Asian people love fruits.

The price was decent, probably inbetween See's and Godiva prices.

Happily I carried the box of chocolates from Saratoga to Phoenix, AZ where the bf and his parents live.

When I actually tried the chocolates, I was a bit disappointed. The chocolates were not as tasty as I had hoped. The fillings were a bit overwhelming and I felt like the bf's parents had to force feed themselves chocolates in front of me to make me feel better about giving them chocolates with too strong of flavors for their palates. I mean, the flavors were so strong and sweet even I couldn't eat more than one! And I LOVE sweets.

Anyway, I shouldn't tried them before I gave them as a gift.

I'm so happy that this place is close to where I live!  Audrey makes great artisan chocolates, and so there is one less reason to go to Europe for my chocolates.  I'm in love with the fruit, nut, and caramel flavors.  The ones with pepper and chili aren't my taste, but kudos to Dolce Bella for offering unusual flavor combos.

I also like it that the shop is small still and the owner, Audrey, is making the chocolates.  They also sell at the Saratoga Farmer's Market in Saturdays.

The presentation box, and little papers describing each flavor, along with the great chocolates make a excellent small indulgence for yourself or for a friend.

After reading about Dolce Bella here on Yelp, and realizing it was less than ten minutes from work, I had to stop by on my way home.  All I can say is...wow.

As I walked in, I was offered a cup of Dolce Bella's hot chocolate.  YUM.  Just delicious!  It was rich and creamy and frothy... I had to seriously consider whether I wanted to buy the hot chocolate wafers.  The idea of coming home to this drink was delightful!  But practicality had to prevail.  As much as I loved it, I highly doubt I would ever make this hot chocolate.  But it tastes amazing and it doesn't seem like it would be difficult, so I might take the plunge anyway in the future.

Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to try.  I remembered that someone had given me the almond toffee for Christmas, and it had been wonderful, so I made sure to get a bag of it.  While looking at the chocolates case I tried a sample of the Meyer Lemon truffle, and it tasted just like lemon curd, terrifically tarty.

I ended up buying the Grand Marnier and Tahitian Vanilla Bean truffles for myself, and a Peppered Rosemary Orange for my boyfriend.  (A most unique flavor, I must say!) When we tried everything at home, we were blown away by the texture.  Dolce Bella's truffles are just so smooth on the tongue. The Tahitian Vanilla Bean was lighter than I expected, but pleasant.  Grand Marnier tasted like...well, Grand Marnier.  What can I say?

I'll never again enjoy See's and Godiva as in the past  They seem so...unfinished and unsophisticated now.  I won't be able to indulge in these frequently - they aren't cheap chocolate! - but when I do it'll always be a special moment.

I came here last night for Dolce Bella's First Birthday!  There were free chocolates, cream puffs, chocolate mousse cake, brownies, beer, wine and hot chocolate!  Everything was absolutely amazing!  Thank you to Audrey for the invite and the delicious treats!  I tried almost all of the chocolates and my new favorite is the Meyer Lemon!  It's so fresh and different.. I also bought a box of 4 chocolates for $6.  I got a Milk Chocolate Fleur de Sel Chewy Caramel, Dark Chocolate Fleur de Sel Chewy Caramel, Meyer Lemon and Passion Fruit.  It's funny because I don't really like chocolate with mint or fruit EVER but the ones I had at Dolce Bella are extraordinary!  Probably because Audrey makes her chocolates fresh everyday!  The caramel cream puffs I tried were so light and just melted in your mouth!  I didn't win any of the raffle prizes but I had a great time anyways!  It was also great to see Beth W. and Noelle W. there as well as Rosetta and Alex from Gelato Classico!

I asked Audrey (the owner) to make chocolates as favors for my wedding. Since she makes her own chocolates, I got to choose the shape of the chocolate and the specific filling and shell combination I wanted. The chocolates were definitely a hit. Not only the chocolates were beautiful, but also tasted great. Many of my guests saved the chocolates and I had to tell them to eat it. When I recently went back to visit the store, Audrey showed me some pictures of her making cakes as a teenager. Looks like she started really young and was able to make some terrific cakes then. She's just so gifted.

Bottom line: deep, rich, and complex chocolate tastes, smooth and slick in the mouth.  Arguably the best in the bay area.  A variety of flavors, all subtly  and artistically infused into the chocolate.

Right now (end of 2009) still reasonably priced.  Great customer service.  If you even remotely like chocolate, do something nice for yourself and a special someone; visit the store, buy some chocolate, and share.

Today, I ate 3 leftover chocolates that I found in a box laying around the house.  After I ate them, I realized it said something about consuming them before May 27th.  I ate them 7 days past what was recommended, and they were still super delicious!  I've definitely never had chocolate like this before.  So creamy and soft.  Oh man, I want some more.

Very heartwarming place where I love. Their mint chocolate is totally best one in my life. We sometimes visit here to buy gift for our friends but cannot stop buying for my bite too.

YES!!  Terrific establishment. Great/friendly people and such a wonderful product. Deep dark chocolate and raspberry are my favorites. Oh and the Meyer Lemon, and ....
    Fan for life.

I work in the Quito Village shopping center. Before she opened her shop she would give us samples.. just because! You know she takes pride in her work, because she actually has rejects pieces that did not come out cosmetically appealing as she likes. So, she gives the to us! They taste the same to me :) As you can read from the other reviews they are to die for!

Authentic, fresh, european-style chocolates that are not only amazingly GOOD, but affordable.   Audrey even uses her own fresh raspberries when in season - I love checking in often to see what new flavors are available!  Fleur de Sel, Passionfruit, Lemon Verbena...haven't found one I didn't like yet ;)

You can also join the customer loyalty program and earn $10 for every $100 you spend - I've already earned two rewards :)

Amazing chocolates!!  Intense flavors, and creamy beyond belief. We tried the deep dark chocolate, Chile( dark chocolate ganache infused with Poblano, smokey ancho and fresh habanero chiles), Gianduja(Hazelnut milk chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate, Fleur de sel caramel, and Masala (Bittersweet ganache made with fresh giner, toasted cardamom, and black pepper).  All were wonderful!  And for me, well I love the variety and the unique flavors.  Anytime we're in Saratoga....oh hell yeah!

    Absolutely incredible chocolates!

I have given them as a gift to clients and, more importantly, a gift to my wife. This is the perfect way to spoil someone... but you might consider adding a good bottle of Zinfandel Port to go with them :-)

Oh my goodness.... just Yum! My favorite are the fleur de sel (milk chocolate caramels with a little sea-salt on top ) and the raspberry filling with dark chocolate. She uses the highest quality ingredients.  Audry knows what she is doing.I work close by and I always see Audry in there working her magic in the back .They are the best chocolates I have tasted, and I have tasted many , yes I am a chocolate addict. I would never buy a box from anywhere else, because she makes the best.

This is my first time at its new location, and the cafe is beautiful! They have charmimg lights in the window and the most pleasant music! I just drank a latte and learned that they drive all the way to sf to retrieve their coffee beans and the taste tells it all- delicious. Don't even get me started on the chocolates-I can see them being made as I type! This place rocks!

Came here for the first time on Mother's Day because I saw an article about their award-winning chocolates in the newspaper. Wow--this is the best chocolate I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot! Definitely my go-to place for good chocolate from now on. I even wanted to re-do my wedding, just so I could use their chocolates as my favors! :-)
