We have been using Julia & dogwalks.com for almost 3 years now and are very happy with the service . Not only are they extremely flexible with our ever changing schedule , our dog always comes home pooped and happy from playing with all of her dog & people friends . Thanks to all the dog walks.com crew !
I am the owner of Dogwalks.com and am extremely proud of my service and my dog walkers. We uphold the highest standard in dog walking and dog care. We love what we do. We value each client and we love and care for each dog like it was our own.
The dogs are walked in small groups of 4 -6 dogs and are in the park for 45 minutes to an hour. We work hard to get your dog in a group where the dynamics are best for your dog.
We do "reward" based training while working with the dogs.
Regularly someone walking in the park will comment that they can distinguish a Dogwalks dog walker in the park because of how well the dogs are managed and treated and the professionism of the walks.
We have been featured in many publications including National Geographic and RealSimple to name a few.
I encourage clients to join us on walks and to meet the dog walkers.
We are listed on the recommended dogwalkers by the SF SPCA.
We are all insured and bonded.
We have exceptional references of clients whose dogs we have cared for for over eight years.
We hope to hear from you!!
Thank you,
Julia Frink
At first this was my top choice for a dog walker. Julia was very attentive to my needs via email. We set up a time to meet, but when I tried to confirm our meeting I never heard from her. I've called and email and still no response.
I guess my dog isn't good enough...but who knows.

I admit I am lazy. Hell my job takes up soo much of my time. Hey-that is what you have to do when you own a house in the city. So sometimes I don't feel like taking care of my dog. Thank god for dogwalks. They do the work for me and I am happy to not find my dog looking sad when I get home. Instead he looks content and tired from being out and about. And I don't feel guilty.

There are a multitude of reasons why I wouldnt recommend this service of dog walkers here in San Francisco...
HERE ARE MY PERSONAL 8...
#1 came on the wrong day once...which defeated the purpose of having the walker. we needed them on the days my wife didnt work.
#2 came at the wrong time three times. Again, this defeated the point of having the walker. I came home at 415ish and our dog wasnt there. We were assured he would be walked during the 10AM slot. I called about this 3 times and was told, "We are short dog walkers at the moment....and, so-and-so is sick."
#3 I asked if they would leave a sticky for the time they arrived. "we dont do that." I was told. "But if you leave paper and pen by the door, you can do that right, we'll jot down the time." I found it very bizarre that they wouldnt leave a sticky as to the time they walked the dog!!!! I left the paper by the door and the pen...as requested, but it wasnt used EVER. If Im paying and giving keys out to my apt., then I, at the least, expect a sticky. GEEZ!! This was the first MAJOR RED flag that something was wrong.
#4 in an email I sent (again, addressing the late walks), I was blamed for the parking situation in front of our place. "Our walker almost got a ticket in front of your place." Um, sorry.
#5 one day...I came home and the leash remained hung up in the same place as when I left with car keys (which hadnt moved) on top. I took our dog out, and he acted like he hadnt been out in days...peeing immediately and also pooping a lot. I asked her about it, saying, "I just was curious if our dog really went out today, because he acts like he hasnt...and...
#6 our dog was FIRED in a voice mail. "I'm sorry, but I can't have you challenging the integrity of my walkers." I called to ask/discuss the problem, but I never got through (after calling 6 times). I ended up sending a variety of emails/leaving messages. There was a general unwillingness to make their multitude of mistakes right.
#7 As final blow... the keys were to be returned on a Thurs...and she came on a Wed!!! Of course, not a big deal at all, but it was humorous and the icing on the cake. Times wrong, days wrong...walks wrong.
#8The company seems too busy and overbooked to be able to manage the way a true, great dog walker should.****
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would definitely recommend.
I had gone through so many dog walkers it was beginning to be pretty ridiculous. Once I found dogwalks it was a breath of fresh air. I never had to worry that they wouldn't show up. If a walker was sick, she'd make sure someone was going to be there to take him out.
I was with dogwalks for over a year and never had one single complaint. I can take my dog to work now, but if I ever need a dogwalker again, dogwalks.com is definitely my first choice.

Here is our email to Julia when we canceled the service... it says it all (we changed our/dog's names):
Julia,
As of this Friday, we wish to cancel your services as Babbo's daily dog walker. As we agreed to previously, Babbo is to be picked up after 11:00 a.m. each day, Monday through Friday, for an hour-and-45-minute to two-hour walk. I was very disappointed last Friday, July 13th, as well as yesterday, Tuesday, July 17th, when Babbo was picked up way before 11:00 a.m. and returned home less than an hour and a half later. Specifically, on 7/13, I got home at 10:10 a.m. and Babbo was already out. He returned at 10:50 a.m. Even if he was picked up in time to have the agreed 1-hour-and-45-minute to 2-hour walk, he was picked up WELL before 11:00 a.m. As well, I was home yesterday when he was picked up at 10:10 a.m. and was returned just one hour later. This was the third time, to my knowledge, of this occurring, which is unacceptable. It is especially unacceptable after you assured us via email that Babbo would not be picked up before 11:00 a.m. when I raised the issue with you last month, after the first time we found out about this.
As you can imagine, we are quite dissatisfied with this service, as it is not what you purported it to be. Not only is the pick-up time we agreed upon not being honored, but neither is the length of time that Babbo is out of the house. It saddens me that we have had to "spot check" your service to realize what is really going on. Don't think that just because a dog can't speak, you and/or your walkers can treat your clientele dishonestly.

i want to preface this by saying i have never used dogwalks.com or any other dog walker....BUT i do have a dog that i love dearly.
all i know is, if i DID use a dog walker, i sure wouldn't want them leaving my most prized possession in a parked black van full of other barking dogs with the window hardly cracked on a sunny 70 degree day in san francisco. that is what i saw today in a parked van marked "DOGWALKS.COM" yea guys, great publicity.
