I can't say enough good things about these wonderful ladies! You've seen Cheers right? Imagine Cheers but with less beer and more bark. This is the sort of groomer where everybody knows your dogs name. You can also pretty much guarantee that your pup will get plenty of attention and play during their stay.
My dog can be kind of a pest when it comes to his nails but the ladies here have never lost their patience with him, and there is always love in their voices when he "yipe!" s and tries to pull away.
You know what else? They cut hair here too! It. Is. AWESOME. In the 4 years I've had my dog he's been cut by at least 8 different groomers. Hands down he looks his best after a visit to Doggies Divine. Here are a few comments I received from neighbors after I brought him home last week.
"He smells so good!"
"My, aren't we looking dapper."
"Those eyebrows are *killin'* me."
I even find myself saying "You're so friggin' cute" more often after a haircut here :) -

Yesterday, the day after Thanksgiving, my stepmom emailed me to tell me about her pup getting a bunch of burrs in her very fine fur. Definitely needed a pro to take care of this; she called Petco, but they said they were full. She called her vet, who wasn't working that day. I didn't want my stepmom to have to make a long drive or to wait too long, so I decided to Yelp.
I found Doggies Divine, saw that reviews were a little mixed, but mostly good (some people can never be pleased anyway) so I called. Heather answered the phone cheerfully, confirmed they were open and would be able to accommodate my stepmom.
Fast forward to the afternoon. Talked to my stepmom, Doggies Divine got the pup in quickly, did a good job, and at a reasonable price as well. I'm sure we'll be going back! -

Took my Yorkie in for a haircut he came out looking great. Did exactly as I requested to hair. Although my dog does have his shots I wonder why they didn't ask for shot records? Very reasonable in price ($35 included teeth brushing as well as the cut) unlike pet smart who charges $50 for my small dog. Will be my new place to take him.

What a wonderful place!!! There is so much love and good energy here. U know that feeling when you found something good and you're at peace? that's where I am with my puppy's groomers.
It was my pup's second grooming appointment (his first was at this place downtown and I wasn't too excited about the results), but Doggies Divine gave me reassurance he would be happy/clean/fresh/awesome and that I could leave him in the care of someone else for an hour or so. Thank God I foudn this place on yelp! the prices were good, the service was good, and my puppy came home smelling fresh (and with an Easter scarf!!!). -

I've been to several places to have my dog groomed over the last 5 years. Went here and although they did a nice job, my dog ended up with KENNEL COUGH.
Imagine my surprise when, another person I know, had the same thing happen to her dog!
When I called they said my dog could have gotten it from somewhere else. Funny thing---my dog never went anywhere else and never has gotten sick!
Proceed with caution if you decide to go here.

When we had one mini poodle we used to take him to petsmart off of murphy canyon road. no problems there, but we had to leave our dog there almost all day. We now have two mini poodles and decided to use yelp to find a dog groomer closer to home. We took both of our dogs to Doggies Divine today, and it was a first haircut for one of them. We could not be happier! It only took an hour for both and the price was more than reasonable. The dogs were not traumatized at all, possibly due to the short time they were there? I would recommend Doggies Divine to anyone!
I originally gave Doggies Divine 5 stars, but have now noticed that one of our poodles did not have the ear hair plucked correctly and the other poodle ended up with razor burn on his sensitive area's. So I lowered the rating to 4 stars. I still plan on going back, but will ask them to be more careful next time. -

First things first: they did a nice job cutting my dogs hair, trimming the nails, and an overall solid job with what they're supposed to do.
But regardless, I'm not going back. Here's why:
1. A good dog groomer will take the time to trim the hair around your dog's whiskers. A bad dog groomer will cut your dog's whiskers along with the rest of the hair. They cut my dog's whisker's off. Yes, they will grow back, but whiskers are there to aid an animal with its sense of balance. It takes a little more time to cut around the whiskers, and some groomers are willing to do that and some aren't.
2. I noticed my dog now has fleas. While I was there, I heard the woman tell another customer that their dog was ready for pick-up, and that it had fleas. I know there's that risk of taking your dog to a groomers where there are other dogs, and fleas will be there -- but, this is the first time I've ever taken my dog to a groomer to come home with fleas. I found 2 of them so far.
3. When I first walked in one of the older ladies was screaming at a dog named "Monster" and her voice wasn't very loving. She seemed really irritated. I pick up on subtle clues like that, and it gave me a funny feeling, but I didn't want to be rude and judge a book by its cover.
4. The younger lady that works there is really nice, and she immediately played with my dog and made accurate observations about his behavior and personality right away. I liked that intuition.
All in all, I paid $45 for a haircut and a nail cut, and my dog came back with fleas. I will not be going back here, but I don't want to write such a terrible review because they did do a good job with my dog's haircut (except for cutting his whiskers off). I am very pleased with Doggies Devine. My maltipoo, romeo can't wait to get out of the car and for me to open the door to see the staff. They are always available (except wednesday) and do a very professional job.
Their price is also very reasonable.
I highly recommend them for your pet.

I have two dogs, one of which happens to be a stinky faced Shih-tzu who's hair grows out like a four legged rastafarian. Not to mention that I'm really lazy to give him a bath, and although I've occasionally thrown him in the shower with me, the few times I've done so he golden showers the tub - which is not cool at all.
What can I say about this place. Stinky face got a great cut, smelled good, he didn't bite anyone, and most of all, he's still alive. I noticed his balls were missing and was going to complain to the owner, but I remembered he was neutered and damn my long term memory. -

I've been taking my dog Muppet to see Teresa for nearly 3 years now and I won't take her anywhere else. I was very happy with Teresa's expertise and care of Muppet long before she opened Doggies Divine, she knows just what to do with a fairly high maintenance dog like mine. Muppet has a customized hairstyle and she gets matted very easily with her soft undercoat, so it's not an easy job, but Teresa gets it done beautifully every time!
When Doggies Divine opened I was very impressed, a very nice, clean place with great skilled groomers, you can't go wrong with any of them. I like their appointment system as opposed to the old style drop off in the morning system, and their prices are excellent. On top of that, their canine employees, Monster and Tater, always give me love and kisses when I come by. -

It isn't possible for me to be more thrilled about finding this place. They're located right next to a pizza place I go to a lot for lunch during the work week, and so I looked them up online, dying to find a good groomer who knew how to give a Yorkie a haircut. WELL, come to find out, they SPECIALIZE in Yorkies!!!!!!!!
The very best thing about this place is you don't have to drop the dog off at 9am and pick them up at 2. You bring them when their appointment is, and can pick them up an hour later, just like a human's haircut appointment. SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!! Let me tell you, they were so sweet to my little boy, and they gave him an adorable haircut!! And the price? Only $35. SO happy. -

I just took my miniature poodle here for the first time this weekend based on a referral from my neighbor. His Westie is absolutely adorable, so I HAD to ask where he goes. I've gone to a couple other groomers, and they usually don't cut off enough hair, or the proportions on my dog are off so he looks like an alien. They also forget to clip his nails or don't pluck his ears clean..making me feel like I didn't get a great value because those services were "included" in the grooming packages.
However, I decided to do an entirely new haircut w/ the traditional poodle shaved face and a lamb trim on his body...and it couldn't have turned out any better!!! The proportions on his body were perfect, his ears were plucked clean, his sanitary areas shaved, his feet pads cleaned, his nails grinded, and his face was cute cute cute! I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. They charge the going market price for mini poodles, so I wasn't shocked when I had to pay the bill.
Plus, I added a great package for the nail grinding, teeth brushing, facial, and blueberry shampoo/conditioner for $15! Great deal considering how much these services are a la carte. My dog even got a cute little red-white-blue bandana. Also, they punctually finished in the 2 hour time frame they gave me.
My only complaint was that it seemed a bit crowded at the salon and a lot of fur was on the ground, and my dog had a lot of fur flying off of him the rest of the day. It's understandable since it was a Saturday and were extremely busy and probably didn't have enough time to clean. Also, the location was a bit difficult to find..so maybe if they decide to expand their business any time soon, they will move to a location that's easier to find.

Doggies Divine did a fab job on my 2 pups!
This was their first grooming and I think I was just as nervous as there were. I expected to have them come out looking butchered (because most groomers just shave the coats off and give them a bath and call it a day) but my 2 pups really came out looking like show dogs!
The staff was so kind. They really earned my trust and I felt comfortable leaving them there. I called that day and got an appointment an hour later with no hassle.
They have the best price in town! $40 each and you get $5.00 off if you tell them you were referred from someone. -

WHAT A DUMP! They do not follow the requested cut. They refuse to cut around the whiskers. The hair length ranged from scruffy to down to the skin. One front leg was clipped very short, the other long. When I brought my little dog back the next day for a correction, one of the two older women refused to look at the mistakes and the sloppy cut. The other one yelled from across the room, "Give him his money back." I did not go there to get my money back, just a dog groomed the way I want it. They started yelling together, one waving a clutch of money all the way outside as I left. NEVER AGAIN! I don't know what they think they are in business to do. Maybe to groom shrews. Elsewhere is better. . . . . . anywhere else.

I live in LA but I get my dog groomed in SD. That says a lot about this place. My shih-tzu Willow hates being groomed. Therefore, I hate bringing her. She gets one whiff of the dog anxiety in the air and tries to grip onto me like a spider monkey. She still hates Doggies Divine, but I feel like I am minimizing the torture because of their human type appointments...instead of in at 9 and out at 3, you drop your dog off for an appointment and they finish within 2 hours...sometimes earlier. It's just enough time to get lunch and pick up my pretty little pooch afterward. The people are always nice, I like that the grooming and holding areas are visible, they follow instructions about what you want/dont want, and they have a great appointment system. I highly recommend it.

I just moved to SD a few months ago and have found our groomer! My puppy smelled great when I picked him up and Theresa did an amazing job with his cut. She made an extra effort to comfort my little guy who hates being groomed. I was able to make an appointment the same day that I called. He was done in about 45 minutes and when I picked him up, they gave me a report card with all of the services he received and they even gave him a little gift to welcome him to the groomer. I appreciate the effort they went through to comfort him because I don't trust just anyone with my pup. I will be back and will recommended them to my friends!

I have a domestic long haired cat...and let me emphasize Long Hair. My cat is bigger than some of your small dogs! Not fat big....just BIG-big. And I can not tame all of his flowing locks with brushing alone....and dreads...well they're just not his style. Neither are the massive hairballs by poor little guy suffers with .....that is until I started getting him shaved. I never thought I'd shave my cat but the hairballs stopped and once some of his fur grew back he looked like a huge happy short haired cat. The girls at Doggies Divine made me feel so comfortable with handing them over my big baby. They knew exactly what to do for him. He didn't look or sound nearly as terrified as he had been at the last place I brought him. Sure a couple wiskers were lost but just how cooperative you think my big baby-cat was?! In the end he looked and smelled wonderful. I bring him just about every 6 months to keep things in check.

After seeing many butchered Yorkies, I've been hesitant to take mine into a groomer. Seeing 5 star reviews for this place, I thought that I would try it out! Wellllll I'm SO glad I did, because Kenzie came out looking great! My fiance had to drop her off, and I gave him specific instructions on what I wanted, but they went as far as to call me just to make sure :) !! I will definately be coming back here for all her future cuts! Their customer service is amazing, and they do an incredible job !!

I have the wimpiest shep/husky mix. My pound puppy (8yr old) is deathly afraid of water (among other things). I've had him groomed by the vet, a mobile grooming service, petsmart, petco.....every time he is literally shaking by the time he gets out. This is the first place he's ever gone that he wasn't pulling me out the door to get home. I live in Spring Valley and drive to Clairemont just for these services. Fast, friendly and professional. We have our next appointment tomorrow!
I might even make an appointment for my cat. -

I recently took my 4 month old Zuchon puppy here for his first grooming. They took good care of him and he looked great when I picked him up. They trimmed him exactly how I asked and he was playful and happy when I picked him up. The owner was friendly and was very pleasant to deal with. I will recommend this place to friends and family for sure!

I've been taking my 2 mni Schanuzer mixes to Pet Smart for years. I finally got tired of the inconsistencies and decided to take my business to a small business that had a passion for animals. I found it! Yeah! A good friend of mine reccommended Doggie's Divine. They did exactly what I wanted on the first shot and were done very timely. Pass on the good word. The women who own this place are great. They deserve to be successful. Bye Bye Pet Smart!!!

My mom has been taking her Bichon to Doggie Divine for more than six months now and we couldn't be happier! As Bichon's fur can mat easily, grooming her isn't always the easiest of jobs. The staff always makes the extra effort to make sure she's happy and comfortable with her grooming experience. And the cut? Perfect every time. We don't think she could look any cuter! The staff is warm and friend and their expertise and care is top notch. We'll continue to recommend them to our friends.

Took the pooch here after a couple of hours at Fiesta Island. They brought him in, bathed him and towel dried him within 20minutes. Convenient and friendly, and much nicer than having to wash him ourselves in the bathtub! Worth the $12 after a good sandy day at the beach.

Took my dog in last Saturday for a bath and haircut. I live nearby and have seen this place a few times, so figured I'd try it out. And I'm glad I did b/c they did a fantastic job! My shepherd had really long hair and I was specific about how short I wanted it (they even have a "sample" board to show lengths of hair). His ears, paws, tail - all exactly how I wanted it. The best part - they use this blueberry cologne that smells so good!! My dog was super handsome and I will definitely be back! Oh - and the price was better than other groomers I've been to the last 3 years. The ladies are very nice and welcoming - you should give them a try.

We recently brought our welsh pembroke corgie to Doggies Divine. They did a great job!! They gave her a bath, trimmed her nails, cleaned her ears and brushed her teeth. She looked fabulous when done and smelled even better. :) They also gave her a really cute Halloween bandana!
Their prices are reasonable and they are really friendly. Plus they have some great treats for purchase. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and their doggie companions!! -

I love Teresa and her staff! I started taking my dog to her a couple of years ago when she was at Dunkin Dogs. For the first time, I think my dog actually enjoys going there! At other groomers he would start shaking all over when I dropped him off. They do a consistently good cut on him, just like I ask, and the best part is, I drop him off at the time of his appointment and they call me when he is a ready about an hour later! I love it. No more leaving him a cage for no longer than necessary. I have moved since I first started taking him there, but I am more than willing to go out of my way to go there vs. the groomer around the corner from my home.

I have 3 dogs and i have been to 4 groomers in the past, The girls at doggie Divine truly love dogs!!! Not only do they understand that your dogs are your life, but they treat them like they are a part of theirs. This is a new venture for them and it is clean and comfy!!! If you have a dog, you need to take a trip to see them!!!
