Katie is the only dog walker I would entrust my very insecure rescue, Nash, to. She is patient and kind with him....I always know he is taken care of...walked, hiked, fed and happy. I would highly recommend using Katie's company.

Established in 2006
Dog Gone Walkin' started when I rescued a temperamental dog that was dumped at the dog park. She bit my boyfriend, and fought with Lola, our current dog, numerous times. Throughout it all we kept the little devil, named her Darkness and took the fight out of her in less than a month. When my dog park friend needed to go back to work she asked if I knew a dog walker, I said I would do it. And she said yes, after all she saw how quickly I turned Darkness around. She was my first client and from there I decided to make this my job. Within months I quit my night job and started walking full-time. A few months later I had two dog walkers working for me and the rest is history. We were featured in Los Angeles Magazine, and got voted Top 5 Dog Walkers in Los Angeles 2 years in a row on Myfoxla.com. Almost three years later we are still going strong. And while I type this, Bernie, my first client ever, is sleeping on my bed with Lola and Darkness while his Mommy is out of town. I love my job!
Meet the Business Owner: Katie R.
Katie grew up around animals. Her first dog was Gobi a cute little mutt that tore up everything. Then there was, Leoni, BJ, Jake, Astor, Bear, Beijo and now Lola & Darkness. She also had lots of cats, Gin-Gin, Sammy, Yoda & Pepsi. Katie's first job was when she was 12 years old. She wanted a horse so bad she worked at the Oak Brook Stable after school in exchange for weekend riding lessons and just to be close to the beautiful animals. Katie has a strong background in working with aggressive animals due to her laid back and calm demeanor. Even at the age of 12she worked with the temperamental horses and developed an amazingly strong bond enduring everything, including being bitten by them and stepped on. Katie loves animals more than anything, and loves to go the extra step in making her clients happy!
