DJ Jeremy worked our wedding reception in Yosemite in September. From the moment I contacted him, I knew we were in good hands. He was responsive and professional, and he asked all the right questions. He made sure we knew right off the bat that he does not do conga lines or chicken dances -- which was a great relief.
Since Jeremy had never worked our venue before, he arrived several hours early to get his bearings and talk to the event staff. He coordinated the toasts and speeches without a hitch. And when the dancing began, he was perfect. He mixed skillfully and with a careful eye on the dance floor, which he kept packed through the very last dance. And, unlike many wedding DJs, he never tried to steal the show or made unnecessary announcements. He just kept mixing.
After the wedding, a number of our guests told us how much fun they'd had on the dance floor. Is there any higher praise that that?
If you want a DJ who is easy to deal with, guarantees his work and can match beats with the best DJ's in the world (I lived in Europe so I feel confident in saying that), you have found your match. Jeremy is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. While we hired DJ Jeremy for our wedding, I would hire him for anything that requires music...literally anything. Everybody at the event commented about how great the music was and the floor was never empty. In fact, we received multiple compliments across the age spectrum about how great the vibe of the music was and even without the comments we could tell by the crowded dance floor.
Additionally, one of the most impressive things DJ Jeremy was able to do was provide us an edited down version of our dance song. I emailed Jeremy at 10:00pm on a Friday night and less than 20 minutes later I received two versions of the song, one of which we ended up using.
Bottom line: great customer service, great music, and a great ear for beats. Hire him if you have not already.
We are very recently married and hired Jeremy for our wedding for the dinner and dancing. Then 4 days before the wedding, had the "good fortune" of having our musician for the ceremony and cocktail cancel on us! We called Jeremy and he showed up 2 hours earlier and covered for those hours! No fuss.
Form Day 1 Jeremy has been a pleasure to work with. He is professional and REALLY GOOD! Our first dance is 6 minutes long - he edited it to 2 minutes seamlessly, you could not tell...none of this fading out crap. You are not getting someone who prepares a playlist and uhmm... just plays it. He is there, gauging the crowd, mixing, everyone was on the dance floor from start to finish. You will also be pleased to know that he is not cheesy and not the type of DJ that will just take over. For us, he was so not intrusive which we loved! Dependable, cool, so easy to work with.
In fact our dog, Harry (the ring-bearer) decided to go for a swim in the pool 5 minutes before people stared arriving... I heard Jeremy was there, trying to get him out of the pool. One of the catering staff dried Harry off. Gotto love that.
We hired Jeremy and Vadim a week before the wedding and on the night of, you would have thought they had prepared for a year! Vadim kept our dance floor full the entire night and also really navigated the traditional wedding dances wonderfully. Our caterers loved him and we appreciated that he was so easy to work with. A true professional. We would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. So much better than the canned wedding DJs you find at bigger companies. 1000 stars!
DJ Vadim couldn't have done a better job for our Halloween wedding this year. That night, the caterer had to replenish the alcohol three times the dance floor was so rocking. Our guests cleared entire rows of tables in order to make enough room on the dance floor, and the dancing never waned once the entire evening. Vadim and Jeremy were both very accommodating and professional, and they delivered well beyond our expectations. DJ Vadim gets our highest recommendation. Hire this guy.
I don't know what I can add to all of these other 5 star reviews of DJ Jeremy Productions other than to say that they are ALL right on track. Jeremy and his assistant are extremely professional, unflappable, kind, honest and friendly. Jeremy is a professional, he knows what he's doing at all the steps of the process and he delivers big time.
There was a point immediately before the service when I heard one of my young nephews destroy one of Jeremy's records. Jeremy didn't know that I could hear how the situation played out but I was amazed at how well he handled the situation. You can tell a lot about someone when you see how they react to a scenario like that and Jeremy wowed me with the understanding and professionalism he displayed then.
Seriously, if anyone is reading this who isn't sure about hiring DJ Jeremy, go to his website, listen to his mixes, go see him at AsiaSF and then hire him immediately.

DJ Jeremy and his assistant Jeanine rocked at our wedding which happened about a week ago in Sonoma, CA.
It was a gorgeous Saturday. The weather couldn't be better - warm with a mild breeze. Everyone was having a good time with flowing wine and hors d'oeurves, followed by a dinner reception.
The climax of the evening came when DJ Jeremy started the spin and he managed to keep the dance floor occupied until we tore down the place. Most amazingly, people that we know who usually won't dance came and danced with us! Jeanine kept the program in line and we ended the party on time!
I would definitely hire DJ Jeremy and his team again for any party event. He can read minds and he can lead minds!!!
DJ Jeremy (and his assistant) saved our wedding. 15 minutes before our ceremony was set to start the power went out and did not return until 20 minutes before the reception was over (that would be 5.5 hours of no power, if you are curious). DJ Jeremy and his awesome assistant jumped into action and found a generator (as our venue was without one) to keep the music and party going until midnight. While the candlelit reception ended up being beautiful, without Jeremy and his awesome selection of music, the party would have ended after dinner was served.
In addition to saving our wedding, Jeremy also made an awesome mash-up for my mom, as every song she requested was on our "do not play" list. Since my parents were footing the bill we felt that we could not veto every song they wanted, so we asked Jeremy to limit the songs to 45 seconds...everyone loved the "Celebration - We are family - YMCA - Macarena - Electric slide" mash-up he created and it was over in 5 minutes.
Jeremy is not your classic cheesy, terrible, likes to hear themselves talk DJ, and that is what we loved about him. If you love to dance and party, Jeremy is the DJ for you.

Jeremy is seriously the best DJ at any wedding I have ever attended...lucky for me it was my wedding! From our first meeting to the days leading up to the wedding and the day of, Jeremy was the most polished and professional vendor we dealt with (and we had some stellar vendors). We found him right here on yelp!

-My husband and I were rushing through our dinner, like all brides and grooms do, to start on our meet and greet around the room. We didn't even finish saying hello to one side of the room before the entire room was on the dance floor..literally he had everyone on the dance floor! I have never witnessed anything like it..we said our hellos while dancing with everyone two minutes into the music starting.
-I can't tell you how many guests asked me for his information, so I am sure I will be seeing him at quite a few of my friends up coming weddings and this time I will be first out on the dance floor!
-We trusted his judgment and didn't give him a play list and his choices were spot on! Nice not to have to worry about choosing the music!
Don't think twice about booking Jeremy...you'd be truly be a fool not too!
DJ Jeremy and his assistant Jeannine were truly one of the highlights of our wedding. From our first meeting with Jeremy he was on the ball, totally helpful and professional. In the days leading up to the wedding, he was very responsive and easy to work with as we discussed picks for the first dance, processional, timing, etc. I had given him a list of songs that represented the vibe we wanted for the cocktail hour and he totally nailed it, playing other songs that I loved but had never mentioned. Jeannine did a great job checking with the site rep. on timing, announcing us, etc., so that Jeremy could keep at work.
The true amazingness started after the first dance when immediately Jeremy got just about every single person on the dance floor. The seven year olds and 70 year olds were all rocking out. Jeremy did a great job of monitoring the crowd, cutting things short when people were losing interest. He was super smooth transitioning between songs and used sort of a mash up style, so there was never a minute's rest. Amazingly, after about 4 and half hours later when the party ended the dance floor was stilled packed and crowd was begging for more music.
If you are looking to have people really getting down and sweaty, kicking their shoes off at your event, then Jeremy is your guy. It may be a bit of a waste if you have tons of special requests that are more traditional (Elvis, etc.) as that doesn't really take advantage of his skills. If you prefer the feel of a "real club dj" he's your guy. From about the second song in I had people coming up to me saying how amazing the DJ was and that didn't stop all night.
For this experience, he is very reasonably priced. Given how important he was to the overall experience of the wedding, it was a steal. Also, not sure how much he will be doing this in the future, but he travelled to Tahoe for our event and the travel fee was extremely reasonable. Given the other options in Tahoe, going with DJ Jeremy was clearly the way to go. If you too are getting married in Tahoe, it's worth checking out if he'll make the trip.
I highly, highly recommend DJ Jeremy for a booty-shaking good time!

If we had to pick two people that made our wedding go seamlessly and, well, perfectly, it would have to be first DJ Jeremy and second our dancing Priest ;)
I had left the selection of our DJ to my now husband Zach. He hemmed and hawed over the outrageous prices he came across, until he found Jeremy. He and Jeremy shared several emails on the very day he found him. He's responsive! He works at a popular club in SF and knows how to get people to start dancing and keep them moving..as was evident by our packed dance floor *the entire night*. Several of our guests commented on it being one of the most fun weddings they've been to ever / in a long time.
Jeremy has a very organized approach to the wedding, asking for timelines so he can properly MC the event, and asking for a "Play" and "Do not play" list. Per his advice, we kept those lists short so he could have the leeway of doing what he does best: DJing. He was incremental in helping choosing our ceremony songs (processional, entrance of the bride).
Jeremy was easy to work with...no a *pleasure* to work with. His coworker was equally as kind and professional.
Hopefully DJ Jeremy will keep his rates reasonable, although admittedly he is worth far more than he charges.
Bottom line: DJ Jeremy, thank you for making our wedding day simply magical.

My wife and I have very different music tastes. Jeremy met with us and discussed what works at weddings. Over the months, we chatted a few times and I was actually surprised at the variety of music that he listens to and knows. He was absolutely amazing at the wedding, he had an excellent selection of a downtempo jazz sound going through dinner. Classy and modern at the same time. Then moved into a great selection of dance music...most of the hip-hop I wouldn't listen to during my walk to work but he felt the crowd and knew how to keep it going. I noticed him try to stretch in this direction or that to find the sweet spot and once he did, I don't think the dancefloor was empty the rest of the night.
I don't remember what we finally negotiated for a bill but we would have doubled it no problem. DJ Jeremy was absolutely awesome!

We hired DJ Jeremy for our July 26 wedding and it was the best party! From the first meeting all the way through the planning, Jeremy was so great to work with....very organized, quick to reply back to us, and really knows music and how to keep the mood of the party going. We heard so many wonderful compliments about Jeremy and his assistant from our wedding guests. We really recommend Jeremy for any event!!!
These are the reasons DJ Jeremy gets 10 out of 5 stars for all that he did leading up to and at my wedding:
* I'm a little anal with contracts. He dealt with it.
* When I slowly realized "Hello, Shakespeare Garden doesn't actually have random power outlets to plug in a sound system", my husband and I shot an email to Jeremy for recommendations, and he instantly provided not only a reply, but offered to provide the equipment and a stand-by sound system dude during the ceremony for $60. Sold!
* Jeremy was really patient with receipt of the "Do Not Play" and "Must Play" list. He even made sure one of the tracks requested was the right mix. And i know that he played every song on the MP list and I didn't have to hear "Poker Face" or "Celebration" once.
* We were "surprised" with the chair dance during the reception, and when our cousin went up to Jeremy to ask if he had the Hava Nagila, Jeremy said "I have 14 versions, which one did you want to play?"
* We had a friend sing our first dance and father-daughter dance songs. Jeremy was able to work with our friend, managed to accommodate a sound check, and it all turned out perfectly.
* Our wedding was a few days after Michael Jackson died. We already had Michael Jackson Thriller and before, including Jackson 5 on the play list, but MJ was properly honored at our wedding.
* My husband's grandfather doesn't like noise and he'll speak up about it. So Jeremy was a GREAT sport about having a distinguished elderly gentleman come up to him during the reception and took it in stride when he was told that "I'm someone that get's listened to." Jeremy turned it down about a decibel, and then turned it back up when my husband found out about the incident, and said the bride and groom would like the music turned up.
* Jeremy kept a really good music stream up, keeping guests happy and moving.
My husband and I highly recommend meeting with and hiring DJ Jeremy for your event. He's easy to work with, and pulls off the perfect DJ set.
I really cannot recommend Jeremy highly enough. Our entire experience with him from beginning to end was nothing but positive. He is a pleasure to work with, a true professional and most importantly, he rocked the house at our wedding. Everyone was talking about the amazing DJ and the dance floor was packed all night. We closed down our venue at 2am and probably would have kept going if we could have. Jeremy is low key and will only talk if you specifically ask him to do so. My husband and I both walked down the aisle to different songs and Jeremy was very accommodating in looping the songs precisely to our liking. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again and am planning to see him DJ at some venues in SF!
I never thought I would hire a DJ from Yelp, but since I am all about the Yelp these days - I decided to take the recommendations and I am glad I did.
Jeremy DJ'ed our company holiday party and did a great job. His service was beyond our expectation, although every time I spoke with him to coordinate the job he was very professional and helpful.
We were all very happy with his services, he was very accomodating - helping coordinate with our other vendors, taking requests when needed and getting everyone to dance. We are a diverse company, but he was able to find the right music to play to get the people out there.
I highly recommend DJ Jeremy for your next event, I will definately ask him back for mine.
Hire this man. Dude straight killed it. My wedding was in mid-August this year at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. Music was definitely a centerpiece at the reception, and DJ Jeremy was all flowers. Lucky for us, we had the most dancing-ist guests in history. People started a conga line while dinner was still being served. Jeremy had the place rockin' the entire evening, playing pretty much whatever my beautiful bride and I wanted, even making sure I was cool with requests that were being thrown at him. From Daft Punk to Journey to Ace Hood, he covered a lot of ground, and our guests covered a lot of dance floor (and booze).
Jeremy was extremely helpful in the planning of our music list. We requested a lot of offbeat (maybe the wrong word when describing music, but whatever) songs, including a ton of latin stuff, and he had pretty much everything except for about 3 songs. Crazy deep music collection.
Basically, Jeremy was so good, we're hiring him for wifey's cousin's quinceañera this November. He's now our family DJ. Thanks, Uncle Jeremy.
P.S. Apologies to Jeremy for getting elbowed and berated in español during Dahla Mendi. Tequila brings out the best in all of us.
We had some fantastic vendors at our wedding, but of all the vendors, Jeremy was the shining star. I actually feel quite guilty for waiting 3 months before writing the review!
From our first meeting he was cool, laid back and very willing to do anything within his power to make our wedding fantastic. He stayed in touch throughout the preparation, making sure we were on track with our plans. He was willing to add songs to the playlist up until the last minute.
At the wedding, he did an excellent job of mixing (i.e., he's a real DJ), which should be no surprise because he spends his weekend evenings spinning at Asia SF. This meant a lot to me because I HATE it when DJs can't match beats. He did more than that,, mixing the beginnings of songs for an extra few bars, transitioning seemlessly, and choosing the best jams for the appropriate moods.
Besides his DJ skillz, he was quite a personable MC along with his wife, Jeannine. They totally matched the crowd's intensity, made witty jokes here and here, and kept the night moving along smoothly. For example, when we were having trouble getting the projector working for the slideshow, Jeremy took the implicit cue immediately and started playing a beat to fill the noise (and then I took the cue and started freestyling for our guests :).
To top it all off, his price was very competitive. I compared at least 5 DJs in the under-$1000 category and the only one less expensive than Jeremy was a cheesy wedding-only DJ who sounded more like a radio talk-show host than an MC. Jeremy is a real DJ and a cool person. Take my advice and hire him for your wedding. I would bet the price of admission that you'll be very satisfied.

I just received a request from someone to describe Jeremy's style on the mic during an event. Here is the response I wrote:
His wife was actually on the mic more than he was (they usually work in a team). She was friendly, personable, funny, and professional throughout the whole event. Jeremy did jump on the mic a couple times. I distinctly remember that when he was telling everyone to move from dinner to the dancefloor, he made a great joke about how they were in for an entertaining first dance from my wife and I. Overall, I would give him (and his wife) a 5 out of 5 for mic handling. :)
If you have interacted with him much, you'll notice that he's very polite and pleasant. He retains those qualities as an MC and brings an air of coolness into the spotlight.

My husband and I are so glad that we found Jeremy, Jeannine & Vadim! Our wedding was this past Saturday (5/2) in Livermore, and I have to say Jeannine and Vadim made it all the more special!
Our guests were very diverse, so we were initially worried about an empty dance floor. On the contrary, the guests were dancing all the time and raved about the music throughout the event. We really enjoyed the event, and want to thank Jeannine and Vadim for going the extra mile to make the event go so smoothly and so beautifully.
Jeremy had been so responsive throughout the planning process, which helped me stay sane. He's truly on top of things, and made sure that they play the correct versions of songs that we wanted.

Blast! Yelp only allows 5 stars??? I would give DJ Jeremy 20 stars if I could. By the time we called Jeremy, our wedding date was the only Saturday he had available. We went to see him at Asia SF on a Friday night and booked him immediately. We loved how he mixed things up and kept people dancing and having fun. He was very responsive to the kinds of music we wanted (and did not want) to hear at our wedding and worked it all in so seamlessly. Pretty impressive given that our guests' music tastes included arabic dance music, old school reggaeton, nostalgic 90s rock and hip hop, etc, etc, etc. Seriously, DJ Jeremy could not have done a better job, and his partner, Jeannine, is also great! She discreetly approached us to ask if some of our guests' requests were ok with us, which we appreciated. I was so happy every time I looked around the dance floor... it was packed up until the very last song!! If there hadn't been a time limit on amped music, we would have loved to stay for hours.

For me, the easiest thing about wedding planning was the DJ. I am a 'research freak' in that I look up vendors over and over again searching wide and far - even in Sacramento based on other people's recommendations. To this day I still do not know how I found Jeremy, but its definitely something I am happy I did! After our first (and only meeting with a DJ), we decided to book Jeremy right away. No hesitation!
From the beginning Jeremy, is an extremely professional person. His emails were informative, professional, yet still personal. On his website he has hours of mixes from club mixes and wedding cocktail hours mixes. For me, that was a big deal in that I could get to know his style(s) prior to the meeting and wedding. When we met with him, he was early, and prepared with as much information as I could need without feeling like I needed to give him a full written playlist (although I know he can handle that too :) ) .
Business wise - he was great in that the contract process was simple, written plainly and explained in person as well as on paper. I never had any hesitations about working with him and I am happy to recommend Jeremy with anyone that needs a DJ for their event.
Also - I did book my bachelorette party at Asia SF and had a great time. A nice 'perk' of having a well connected DJ.
Book with Jeremy - you definitely will not regret it.
Jeremy and Jeannine are awesome! I wanted a real DJ for our wedding which my now husband thought could be risky with the range of guests you have at weddings. From our meeting (during a reoccurring gig he has at AsiaSF) to Janine hunting us down in the crowd to make sure we were happy or to ask about last minute details to following up post celebration to make sure we enjoyed it- they have this down! We had the best night with great music throughout! Highly recommended for anytime of shin-dig!
DJ Jeremy and his assistant Janine did a phenomenal job helping us to plan and enjoy a fantastic wedding reception. Jeremy was an excellent communicator throughout; giving feedback about music selection, the flow of events through the afternoon, and the all important "do not play list." Jeremy had been so impressively thorough in the planning stages, that on the day of the wedding we weren't at all worried about the music. Janine was wonderful with our guests; making everyone feel at ease and keeping our afternoon schedule on track.
We wanted our wedding to have a vintage vibe. Jeremy helped us pick music that worked with our theme AND got people up and dancing. It was great to see our guests of all ages having so much fun. Many of our guests complimented us on the music at our reception... all the credit goes to DJ Jeremy.
You might be skeptical seeing all the 5 star reviews for Jeremy and his team, but trust me...he really is THAT good.
If you are NOT looking for a cheesy DJ that's going to be playing the chicken dance and "Who let the dogs out" and jumping in with over-the-top, corny announcements, then you need to hire Jeremy.
Jeremy and Vadim DJ'd our wedding in Napa this past weekend. He was actually the first and only DJ that we interviewed after I heard about him from someone on the Knot. My husband used to run a record label and we actually first connected over mutual interest in music, so we were very particular about what we wanted played (and not played) at our wedding.
Jeremy and Vadim definitely delivered. We had so many guests comment on how great a job they were doing and even that they were the best DJs our guests had ever heard play a wedding.
Jeremy was also very on top of keeping to our schedule and giving subtle cues to check if we were ready to move on to the next step. Not only that, he also took the extra step to help set up lights for us when the rental company screwed up and left them uninstalled.
We're so glad we didn't waste any time on other companies and hired Jeremy. We had initially talked about trying to find someone who was more of a club DJ than a wedding DJ and Jeremy proved that that was the right decision for us. I almost wish we lived in the Bay Area so we could hire him for future parties :)

If you are planning a wedding or party, HIRE Jeremy! He DJ'd our Sonoma winery wedding last October (I know, I know, this review is so late!). I don't think I can describe in words how forunate we feel to have found Jeremy for our celebration.
He is professional, responsive, and fun. From the first meeting we had with him, it's obvious that he wants to provide excellent service, and he did! The dance floor was full the whole night, and so many of our guests told us that our wedding was one of the most fun ever, and I must say that this was all due to Jeremy. We gave him a list of our favorite slow songs in case he needed something to get people back on the dance floor - well, he never needed to play any of them. Man, can this guy mix! And the lighting effects were perfect for a party.
Jeannine was also great. She MC'd the wedding - she is so friendly and kept things on track. Plus she has a great MC voice.
We loved every aspect of our wedding and had great vendors all-around, but honestly, Jeremy was our "star" vendor and the one that we still talk about 6 months later. I cannot recommend him strongly enough, and I am so grateful to yelp for helping us find him.
Jeremy and Janine DJ'd my wedding and did a phenomenal job. My husband and I were not easy clients - we had a million songs and musical styles on our do not play list and were absolutely committed to having a unique, fun, non-cheesy reception. Most DJ's probably would have either pulled their hair out or just said "sure, I get what you are sayin" and then failed to deliver. Jeremy did neither. Instead, he straight up knocked the ball out of the park. Our reception was ridiculously fun, almost every single person was on the dance floor and not once did he play any cheesey wedding music. I never expected to get compliments on the reception music, but so many of my friends and family commented on how great they did.
Not only did Jeremy do an awesome job at the wedding, but he was SO great to work with in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding as well. He is extremely professional, organized, detail oriented and responsive. For example, he showed up to the reception hours early just to make sure all of his equipment would work properly. This was not something we were charged for, it's just the way he works - he wants to make sure everything is perfect, and it was. On top of that, his prices are reasonable. I would hire him again in a second.
Jeremy and Janine were AWSOME! Jeremy was the DJ for my wedding this past weekend. I really can't say enough good things about him and Janine. They were very professional and I got so many good feedbacks from guests about Jeremy. My husband thinks Jeremy's the best vendor out of all the vendors we hired. Having Janine there made things so much easier for us. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Jeremy hooked up all the neccessary equipments to make sure all the guests hear us say our vows. If you want a fun party, hire Jeremy. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Jeremy =)
I wish I could give "6 STARS"!!! and two phrases aptly describe Jeremy and his team, "Absolutely Fantastic" and they "Set the bar" extremely high for all wedding DJ's to follow. We had our ceremony and reception this past weekend at Yank Sing and to be honest, I had initially felt that having a "true DJ" at our reception/ dinner would have been overkill. He and his team were totally professional, courteous, and above all, respectful of everyone who interacted with them that evening. Prior to the event, he meticuously planned the songs with my fiance and provided his expert input into the schedule. The mixing and MC'ing activities were first rate. My only regret is that we should have had the wedding dinner until 2 AM in the evening and not 10:30 PM, so we could have "rocked out" and boogied into the wee hours with his carefully orchestrated mixing. He picked great songs and the entire event was supercharged with high energy. Plus, at one point, a younger child accidentally became sick and "barfed" on the dance floor. Jeremy was first on the scene with myself "the groom" and we both grabbed a few handkerchiefs to quickly wipe the little boy's mess away!! So, you can add humility to the list of otherwise impeccable attributes!! I'm going to wholeheartedly look for another excuse to hire Jeremy and his crew again in the future!!
