6 reviews for Dita Day Spa
I had a friend in town and we were both really happy with our facials. My esthetician was Shada - she is very professional, honored all my requests (I hate it when they leave you alone for ten minutes while steam blows on your face), and had a really calming effect. Plus she has amazing skin.
Overall, this is the only facial I have ever felt was a good deal.
I have been a loyal client of Dita Day Spa for almost two years, and I couldn't be happier that I found it! Not only did the spa introduce me to an all natural skin care line that made my skin look young, clear & radiant, but also it provides my husband and I with the most excellent date night ideas (I am pampered with a facial, while he relaxes with a massage--"the BEST" in his life)!
It truly is a "hidden gem" in Chicago. The service and pricing are excellent , the staff is fabulous, and the ambiance of the spa is amazing!
Please try it, you will not be disappointed!
I have been going to Drita at Dita Day Spa for about 4 years and could not be more loyal. Prices are fair, the atmosphere is serene, sparkling clean, and attractive. They have great products, including a nice organic line. The location is great for fitting in some quick shopping before or after the maintenance or pampering.
The services are absolutely top notch, including facials, waxing, and massages. I have not had my nails done here, but the customers always look happy. Facials always include little extras that you don't want to have to ask for, but that we sincerely appreciate, like warm slippers and a hand massage. I get regular compliments on my eyebrows and would rather look like Matlock for a week or two than go to another esthetician.
Drita, the owner, is an excellent manager. Her team seems genuinely happy to be there and the vibe is professional, yet friendly and welcoming. Drita and the team also understand we come to the spa to relax and be pampered.
Relax and enjoy. . . you deserve it.
This is turning out to be a good weekend already - I found someone I was looking for - a great masseuse! I liked my first experience at Dita -a very comfortable environ; They're priced a bit lower than some other spas in the area probably because they've no frills - which instantly makes them desirable to me! A small but cosy, elegant yet simple setting makes waiting very pleasant indeed. The folks here are so friendly and international which I loved - in addition to a great massage I got German cuisine tips from my globe-trotting Serbian masseuse and discovered that one of the staff was actually an ex-neighbor of mine! I was a bit bummed that I couldn't use my spafinder gift certificates here, but nevertheless it was money well spent on my aching muscles!
Dita Day Spa is a real find. I went previously for a facial as a gift from a dear friend of mine for the holidays. It was not just a facial, but a whole body treatment. I am astounded by the level of service there.
On my birthday this year, I scheduled a facial, bikini and eyebrow wax. I've lived in Chicago for a very long time. It was truly the best, least painful bikini wax I have ever had. I mean it. The facial was also first class. The ethetician will recommend treatments and disclose prices. In addition, they are not pushy about purchasing the skin care lines stocked at the spa. I truly appreciate that as there is nothing more irritating at most spas than being pushed skin care products. That experience will not happen to you at Dita.
The front desk folks I believe are related to the owner. They could not be more courteous and welcoming. Dita is a hidden gem in the Gold Coast!
My boyfriend & I both went in for massages at Dita. First of all, it was really hard to find because they have a small sign, but nothing that lets you know they are on the second floor. The space itself is modern but relaxing, lots of magazines to read while you wait for your appointment. Our massage therapists were both awesome, they came out together and introduced themselves, then hung up our coats and led us into treatment rooms. My masseur was a man, which made me a little uncomfortable, but that honestly is nobody's fault but my own. He asked me about my needs, and made sure to check in with me to make sure he was applying the desired amount of pressure. Even though I was probably the last appointment of the day, I did not feel in any way rushed to leave.
My biggest complaint is that there was something really loud going on inside the walls that made it difficult to relax. It sounded like water running through pipes or someone doing laundry. I don't know if this is something specific to the time of day I was there (around 7 pm) or if it always happens. I would probably go back, but would want to make sure this noise problem was taken care of.
