Good, educational entertainment at a low, low price.
I took my 8 year old here yesterday, looking for something to do on a rainy day. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had that bright idea, since the place was packing them in.
We saw live animals, including a porcupine (who knew they were so big?), a snake, and a fuzzy rabbit.
We saw lots of animal skeletons, and some mounted butterflies. We saw an "animal show", which consisted of a turtle and a tortoise, and we learned the differences between the two.
We went to a 20 minute show in the planetarium, which was my favorite part.
My sons favorite part was the robot that answered your questions. The robot was so smart that I think there may have been an employee hidden in a room somewhere speaking for him.
I think this museum is best for kids ages 5 to 10.
