I knew of one Italian family in all of town, and that was the Disalvos. For 30+ years they have run a kinda-fancy but kinda-unassuming restaurant w/ att'd store. Doing the italian thing, they sent their grandchildren to catholic schools. As far as I know, they are the town's Mafia. I went to school with Shelly Disalvo and when her family brought pizza to a football pep rally, I knew to eat it or else they would shoot me.
Their pizza is more about the toppings than the crust/dough/cheese, so it's best to load up on top. Though I usually stick to their take on pizza, I remember their gnochhi being very comforting, too.
