This place was different. I was there pretty early on a Friday night, like 8:30 or something, so maybe that's why the vibe was..... off.
I got mini corndogs. They were awesome, as most mini corndogs are. I don't recommend dipping them in the queso, but with ketchup and mustard they are a-ok.
The ambiance here is exactly what you would think... Dirty, but in an on-purpose kind of way. There were two giant tables designated for beer pong, and there was a stage in the corner where a DJ was setting up. There were a lot of tvs, which is always good for when you run out of things to talk about with your friends, but you want to keep drinking at the bar. Friday Night Lights was on.
Overall this place was definitely not worth the drive from mid-town, but if for some strange reason I was already at Riverwalk, I might come back and have a drink here again.
Unless Bubba's Boat Bar is open, in which case I'm going there. Come on- it's shaped like a boat.
I've been here on nights that it's dead and on nights when it's packed. It's hard to guess how good the crowd will be but the food's surprisingly good. Their onion burgers are great!
