Review from Lindsay P.

my 2 year old loves it here! there are lots of play areas everywhere! you aren't supposed to bring any food or drinks inside the park, but we smuggled a juice box and some goldfish in :)
i don't think any of the bones are real- they're all up at thanksgiving point, but i think all the fossils are. we enjoyed this park a lot better than the other one! they even have a large gem collection for the mothers to look at! lol
lots of trails to get lost in and a beautiful sounding river to eat beside!
we've been twice and I'm sure we'll go back again!
they don't offer military discounts though :( -

The Dinosaur Park and Museum in Ogden is a lot of fun. Inside they have a pretty standard exhibit of replicated dinosaurs ready to attack you as if you were their prey. They also have a lot of fossils, gem stones, polished rocks, and other pretty stuff to look at and enjoy. Outside the real fun begins with life-like dinosaurs scattered throughout the large, spacious outdoor park. Bring a picnic and enjoy a sunny afternoon with the dinosaurs or just go for a walk and check out all the replicas. Although most are not to scale it was fun to see what many of the dinosaurs may have looked like and how big they would have been when these giants lizards (or birds?) walked the earth. Is the park a little cheesy, sure, but is it still worth a visit? Yes, in my humble opinion if you enjoy natural history and like dinosaurs, visit this place.

My kids LOVE this place. It's a great place to get out to and get active with the family. You never know which huge dinosaur may be lying in wait around the corner. They also have picnic tables so that you can bring your own lunch and take a break if you don't want to spend money in the cafe. There is also a play area for younger children which is another nice way for them to burn off some energy. Fun!

My daughter is a bug fan of the dinos so of course she loved the park. I was a bit disappointed that a lit of the dinos were in need of repair and done if the exhibits weren't open so we missed out a but but it was good fun. I bought on of the excavation kits from the shop and my daughter chipped away at it for hours. It's such a good idea!

This looks like a cheesy park, but on the inside it has some museum quality displays. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the exhibits and the knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We came here on a weekday afternoon in late April and found the whole place deserted except for the staff inside. My son wanted to see life-sized models so for that, it worked. The inside displays were very good. Outside? Everyone needs a new coat of paint. Really. Also, there was no announcement that the gift shop was closing soon so we were very disappointed when we tried to shop on our way out. For what we paid, I was hoping for more.

This is a very fun place and very big to fun around for the kids. The new science area was a great addition to the museum. They like the dinosaurs, but love the sand area where you can create lakes, rivers and plan with the trees and dinosaurs.
The light board that locates fossil areas, and the velcro dinosaur need to be replaced, and the computer games aren't too engaging for the 4 year, but overall it's a good time.
During the summer, there's a nice flower garden and farm area to take the kids that adds to the overall experience.
There's an iceberg inn nearby where we get shakes as we go home. -

I originally had zero expectations of this place based on checking out it's website alone. Silly me, I should have thought to check out the reviews of my fellow Yelpers first! I'll admit I had a bit of a mental block when it came to heading up to Ogden from SLC. However, timed just right, the drive time allowed for the little one to nap on the way up. That being said we will most definitely be back. Soon. The indoor exhibits are pretty cool and allow for just enough excitement building for kids before they head out the side door to an outdoor park that houses all of the "dinosaurs". My 2 year old was blown away- we walked around a bit, went to the car to retrieve our lunch, found a nice spot to eat back inside the park and then he played around on the swings/slide, etc for a good hour+. Then it was time for more exploring. We clocked about 3.5 hours here and the drive home ended up in another nap. Was a great time- I could see from our arrival time at around 10:30 am that this is a popular destination for schools. If you can swing it, I bet an afternoon visit would be ideal if you're looking to avoid big groups of older kids (there were a few near wipe out misses when older kids didn't see the toddlers running around too).

This park is a lot of fun, especially for kids 10 and under. The Ogden River runs through it and it is more for the fun of what they looked like than the fossil experience.
They do have some skeletons set up inside, but the outside is a lot more exciting with the exception of the roaring dinosaurs upstairs! This is always our first stop and the kids love it.
I have had two birthdays parties here, both were a huge hit. They had a gold sluice that is a lot of fun, kids can feed the ducks, there is a huge tree with a slide in it and dinosaurs to climb on. Kids can dig in the sand for bones, it's really fun. My eleven year old is a bit old for it, but he will still play with my younger ones and be a good sport.
Season passes are very affordable and worth it if you will be going a few times. They do Halloween events too. Worth the visit for sure for younger kids. -

They have a fairly decent fossil skeleton collection in addition to the life-size sculptures around the park grounds. Not a bad place to spend an afternoon with the kids.

Giant dinosaur statues. I went here as a kid with my grandparents... it was cool at first, but got boring after a while.

Quite impressive. If you want to get a sense of the size of dinosaurs this is the place to go. They also have an extensive scientific explanations of the processes of fossilization, archeology, and what is known about dinosaurs. This is one of the coolest places I have been.

Ever in Ogden this is a must see. Basically they created a bunch of dinosaur statues and created a big walking park. They have ones the kids can climb on and play area. They also have actual bones and learning center for the education minded. I was skeptical but not anymore, this is a must see.
