Dino sure does now how to serve up some great sawed off lamb. Get the Gyro Dinner, it's delicious. Plus they have Orange Crush on tap, how can you not love this place?
The only bad things I have to say are:
1. No paper towels in the bathroom
2. They have cheap ketchup, get with the program and splurge for some Heinz.
3. For the Gyro Dinner they cut up the Pita instead of giving you a full one -

Sadly downgrading Dino's to 2 stars. I went with my kids this Saturday, got there just slightly before noon, no slice of pizza ready, and the place was freezing. I looked at the thermometer attached to their thermostat, and it was registering in the low 50's. It took 15 minutes for them to get a slice of pizza ready. Ever since the change in management happened about a year ago this place has been slipping in service.
Their awsome front register young lady Kiki either quit or was let go( a huge loss for them, she was awesome) and I have been underwhelmed the last couple of times I have dined their. I have been eating at Dino's for over 5 years, and I think that is coming to an end.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

ROACH ALERT! ROACH ALERT!
As soon as we walked into this dump, my friend went to the bathroom to wash his hands. To his amazement, what lurked in the washroom? Only a cockroach the size of his thumb!!! Oh and you ask what other surprise he might locate? Or should I say not locate?! Any semblance of a drop of soap in the bathroom. Put two and two together...roaches...no soap.... I wonder what soap the cooks are using??? And where there is one roach, there's a thousand! I had ordered by the time my friend came out and reported to us. The grilled chicken salad..... I asked for vinegar and oil, and was greeted with a questioned face by the ridiculously puzzled cashier. I seriously am not sure if one has ever posed oil and vinegar for their salad dressing to anyone in this shack. Once the cashier and cook figured out what "oil and vinegar" was, they began concocting the grilled chicken salad process (I later found out their idea of oil and vinegar was a water thin oil product with white vinegar...yeah...gross). I watched as the cook "made" my grilled chicken salad, without gloves, and could not rid the thought of unwashed hands groping my food. But I sat, and watched, as the cook microwaved my chicken, cut it up into little pieces, and placed it, with his hands, on top of the "salad" he had put together just prior (also with his bare hands). After ten minutes of waiting for this "salad" (really?!), I went to my seat for a better look. It consisted of small pieces of watery iceberg lettuce, and a few slices of picked carrots. Oh and two pieces of tomato and the chicken. I can honestly say without hesitation, this is the worst grilled chicken salad I have ever seen.
Close (styrofoam container) lid and exit slowly. Never return. Beware friends!!!!! Stay away if you value your health!!!! -

One of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I don't know how a pizza joint in Chicago lasts a week with bad pizza, but somehow this place hangs on. Very bland taste with a strange after-taste.
My quest for decent pizza in Oak Park continues . . . There HAS to be better. -

The person taking the orders really lack customer service skills. However that being said I had the fried catfish dinner. It was actually really good coming from a pizza spot. The portions were nicely sized. The batter was very light and was oozing of rich flavor.
Will most definitely will return. -

So after moving into my new apartment, I had to check this place out as it was just around the corner. First off, if you are looking for a place to get some grub quick and at a cheap price, this is worth stopping in for a bite if you are the in the area. Prices are cheap, service is quick, menu is huge.
Tried the pizza. Order a jumbo slice and you end up getting about a quarter of a pizza. Quantity is definitely worth it. Quality? Ehh, it is your typical quick pizza joint, nothing spectacular. Grease, grease, and more grease
The gyro on the other hand, now that was something worth stuffing your face with. It was definitely good. Almost tasted authentic which is hard to find.
Stop by if you are in a pinch but don't plan an event around it. -

The delivery time wasn't too bad. Read the reviews. Seemed folks had mixed feelings. So of course I was willing to try them out for myself.
When the delivery guy got there, my son told the delivery guy he loved him. Awwwwkkkkkwaaaarrrdddd.
The food was delicious! Next time, I'll say to hold the onions as I had received too many. I ordered a slice of pizza and fries for my son and I ordered a double cheeseburger meal for myself. The burger was delicious. My son ate the entire slice of pizza and he loved it. He's a french fry kinda guy so I knew the fries would be a hit. And the side of fries were huge. We could have both shared and still wouldn't have finished.
Prices? Decent. Food? Awesome. Delivery time? Not too bad. Had I waited an hour, trust and believe, it would have been well worth the wait.
Oh, did I mention I got a free order of taco fries. Haven't tried em yet. Not too worried though. : D -

Dino's is located on a sketchy stretch of Madison Street onto which I don't normally venture. (Wow, I'm really sounding like a suburban bitch here. Sorry about that. I live on the West side of Oak Park, and don't have much occasion to visit the East side. That's all.)
I came here once and it was entirely forgettable. The pizza tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer too long. The crust and sausage were dried out and the cheesy wasn't gooey. I'm willing to bet that if the pizza had been fresh, it would have been delicious ... but an afternoon spent under heat lamps did nothing for the recipe ...
Otherwise, Dino's is more or less your typical, dingy, West side fast food joint. I've never gone there again, and I've never tried anything else on their menu ... Their pizza didn't do much for me, though. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.
I could sense that Dino's was competing with Nick's Pizza & Beef, which is a couple blocks west ... The only real difference? Nick's has better pizza.Listed in: A Local Slice

Dino's is one of many pizzerias in Oak Park. Each sets themselves about in their own way. The Shaun will run through some of the pro and cons of this place of eatery.
PROS
- Quite a number of different options on the menu (everything from gyros to pasta)
- Their jumbo slice and a pop for $3.75 is a pretty damn good deal
- They also have pretty good deals as it relates to pizza with wings as well as 2 hot dogs (or cheeseburgers) and fries
- Fairly quick service (I live next door so I have yet to try the delivery.)
- Very good size portions on some items like gyros, fries, subs for the money
CONS
- The wings (amongst others) are extremely overpriced considering to can go right down the street or just over Austin Ave. into the city and get better for a lower price.
- Pizza is extremely greasy
- Overall the quality of food will not blow you away at all. However it gets the job done. -

Dino's serves a specific role in the the hierarchy of dining. If you are looking for high quality, fine dining then you are in the wrong place. I ordered the gyro combo, coming to a grand total of $6.56. For this mere sum I took home massive gyro, fries, and a can of soda. The counter help was friendly and fast, so nothing but high marks in that regard.
The gyro was so massive that the meat overtook the pita, spilling onto the plate. I could not humanly eat this huge amount of food. The meat was what you would expect from some kind of fair or food cart- greasy and peppery, not the highest quality but it tastes good. The fries were mediocre. They have a pretty big menu ranging from pizzas, salads and wings to ice cream and milkshakes. They were pretty busy when I was there around dinner time, which is always a good sign.
In summary, Dino's is great if you are looking for fast, cheap, greasy food when you are really hungry (or maybe really drunk). They also deliver. -

If I were rating this place solely on the philly steak sandwich, I'd give it five stars. It's not really authentic, but it tastes SO good I'm willing to endure the wrath of the entire city of Philadephia to brag about it. Please try it once in your life.
Other stuff here is okay. I have friends in the area, and I've stopped by to try the catfish, the pizza, the italian beef, the hot dog... it's all standard chicago fast food. Good, but you could get it anywhere. The appetizers are honestly kind of gross, and I haven't found one I liked yet. I really want to try the chili, but they never have it when I'm around.
The area isn't great, but the people working here are friendly and awesome. If you're ordering takeout, you might have to wait a minute or two on the phone - they get busy. Again, I almost want to give this place five stars, since I will totally go out of my way to get my philly steak fix here. If they had better cheese fries... or a better atmosphere... or were closer to me... that's all it would take.
If this is the closest chicago fast food joint to your home/work, you should be going here once a week at least. -

The second most painful pain you can have while driving is needing to eat something to fill you up for a long time. This place did the trick. I drove by, thought about it for the half block, did a long U-turn and stopped in.
Welcomes were not needed, 'i need a small sausage pie, kinda fast.' well, after ten minutes, I was diving into a moderately done pizza that was greasy.
Not the greatest of food, but the stars are mainly for getting a pie quickly and for essentially pushing me out the door in less than twenty minutes.
(the first, getting the runs while in the middle of nowhere...but that's not here or there) -

Good pizza, fast, cheap, and within walking distance from my abode. Haven't tried much of their other food, but that looks decent as well. You know the type--soups, salads, sandwiches, shakes, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fish, the list goes on and on. And six kinds of baked potatoes. Good hangover food (+), closed on Sundays (-).
Home of the 14" one topping pizza with 10 WHOLE chicken wings for $11.99. Can't beat that with a stick.
Edit---NOW OPEN SUNDAYS 12-8! How happy am I? -
Review from Andrea M.
I discovered Dino's when I was working nearby and was sick of eating Subway and other local places. They have a large variety of items here varying from pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches, burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, soups, salads, shakes, ice cream, pie, and other goodies. The delivery guys do a good job, with a smile on their face. If you're looking for something quick, filling and fatty then Dino's is the place.

They served me a dirty salad and the pizza tasted like gasoline. Nope, won't be back.
