Dillard's

I'm a big time post-Christmas sales shopper. Love it. Live for it every year. I actually find Dillard's, of all places, to be one of the best spots to buy on-sale (50% or more off original price) gorgeous ornaments once December 26th hits.

Mom and I made our annual trek to this Dillard's location in Southern Park Mall the day after Christmas and didn't leave empty handed. She scored some reduced price chinaware; I picked up a couple unique ornaments--one round one with beaded cheetah print, the other one gold hand-blown glass in an interesting shape--for under $8.

In addition to ornaments and home décor items, Dillard's also consistently seems to have a decent selection of Lenox holiday merchandise (also at least 50% off). In my opinion, the only better place in the area to score some significantly marked down Lenox? The TJ Maxx down the street, honestly.

The store could be cleaner, more organized. The cashiers and register lines could be more efficient. But, really, those are the sort of undesirable things you've got to be prepared to deal with during major sales mostly anywhere.

I really look forward to coming here every December 26th.

Great products with poor organization and efficiency.

This store could be really great, if only they could implement some better strategies when it comes to store operations. I love the products at Dillard's. The store offers lots of high-end brands with really great quality of merchandise. Dillard's is quite pricey, and for how much it costs to shop here, you would think the store would be a bit more reflective of the high-end merchandise it sells. Instead, it kind of resembles a garage sell with merchandise literally everywhere. This makes it so difficult to shop when nothing is in the right place. There have been times I have found items I wanted here, but it was near impossible to find the color and size I wanted since they were not in the right location. This store has just about everything. I typically come here to shop for shoes, designer dresses, accessories, and purses. Most staff members are pretty helpful. The check out process tends to be on the slower side and takes some time, so be prepared for this.

Overall, really awesome products!! But I would only recommend it if you don't mind spending a lot of time in the store searching for what you want. If clutter or disorganization bothers you, this probably isn't the place for you. Hopefully improvements to efficiency and organization will be made in the future!

Very disappointed in the make-up counter that moved my daughter from counter to counter because they were "overbooked" why did they make their mistake my daughter's problem? Very unprofessional.

There was one time I was shopping for a homecoming dress and two members of the staff were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. One woman, who I assume to be in her 20's, thought it was okay to change her blouse in front of the whole store. My boyfriend was there with me and so was my mother. She was standing with her back to us and she was completely topless for about 10 seconds, only in a bra. The store was obviously full of shoppers and there was a dressing room no more than 20 feet away from her. In that same day, both women were using profane language towards each other loud enough for customers to hear. Completely unprofessional and I have not shopped with them since.

I LOVE Dillards.....I would rather travel from Monroeville PA to Boardman OH to shop there than drive 15 min. down the highway to Monroeville Mall. I realize that the review I'm going to refer to is from 2012, BUT.....I have this to say.....did you ever think that ANY store is a mess because people are slobs?? These days, there are very few sales floor people in any store.....they are kept busy ringing register & finding things for people who are too lazy to look for things for themselves.....they are not personal shoppers.....they are not your maid.....people ignorantly throw the things they try on into a corner, on the floor instead of hanging them back up & putting them on the rack from which they came. No one wants to stay overnight to clean up the pig sty that you created.....nor are they permitted to stay overnight! If you try on shoes, put them back in the correct box with the lid on.....Jeez people.....this is why stores look the way they do. And NO, I do not work at Dillards or anywhere else for that matter......just an observant shopper who is disgusted by the mess that YOU make.

Ok so I went to this Dillards Store when they were having their additional 40% off all sale items. I placed a pair of Coach shoes on hold only to find out that they were not there the next day that I went to pick them up(even though they were on hold!). Customer service is a word that does not exist at this store, when I asked a sales lady at the counter, she rudely replied, "we don't hold any sale stuff"! Well if I had known that a day ahead of time, I would have never bothered to come back. There is no concept of customer service here at this store. I am a LOYAL NORDSTROM shopper and believe me, they are AWESOME, but this particular DILLARDS location is horrible. There is no selection of higher end shoes to choose from but it is the only decent place to shop. Since I am stuck here on emergency, I had no option but to come here. I will never shop here again. They could learn a thing or two from Nordstroms.
