Really amazing homemade ice cream! They give painfully huge portions. Probably a bit more than you need, but on a hot summer day it always hits the spot.

I've been holding off on reviewing this place until I tried it one last time.
The first time I visited was my first year in Beverly and, well, it sucked. I went late in the season and the ice cream had ice crystals and felt rubbery.
The second time I visited the ice cream was only okay.
Today I visited and tried their frozen custard. Had this been my first visit I'd give them 5 stars. It's that good. This Java Crunch custard is awesome, smooth, rich, with chocolate covered espresso beans mixed in. Oh it's good, very good.
My diet i s unhappy, I can walk here, when I didn't like it I was never tempted to walk over for a treat. Now I will be. -

I love this place... they give you so much icecream!!!! I'm a 215 pound 6'1" man and the small cone is totally more than enough ice cream for me... its so big!!! and it's all made there by them in this cute little pink house... also the area is pretty, you can sit on the stone benches near by and look out across the canal or harbor or water it is, water with boats on it.... the people that work there are nice too :)

The service here is horrendous!!!
I have lived in Beverly my whole life. We live within walking distance from Dick&June's and whenever it is time for an ice cream treat we hop in the car and drive to Cherry Hill.
I was reminded why my husband and I have avoided this place when I attempted to treat our twin 3 year old daughters to ice cream on the way home yesterday. My Sister in Law and I carried the girls to the window and I asked what the smallest size was and if they could split it in half for me (something that Cherry Hill does for me ALL the time) and the exteremly rude woman behind the counter said "no". I asked if we could have a cup so we could split it ourselves and she said "I'll have to charge you fifteen cents." Now it wasn't what she said, it was the tone with which she said it. I told her that we were goning to take our business elsewhere and she said "whatever" and slammed the window shut. my sister in law remarked that she slammed it with so much force she thought it would break! We went to Cherry Hill where they split the baby size for me and even put a cherry on top!
Too bad that this woman lost a 15$ ice cream sale over a 15 cent cup!! We will not be returning!! -

At the beginning of the season, this place is great - everything tastes fresh and delicious, and the staff are bubbly and pleasant. By the middle to the end of the season, the ice cream is a bit grainy and sometimes contains a frostbitten taste.
When I asked the woman at the counter for a small frozen custard, she replied that it only comes in one size. When I asked to see the size, she repeated that it only comes in a cup in one size. I again asked if I could see the size. (The reason for this is because I was buying for myself and one other person and wasn't sure if I should get 1 cup and split it or get 2). She sighed, exasperatedly and made some sort of "throwing up her hand" gesture, and begrudgingly went to the back of the room to retrieve a cup and show it to me. (Mind you, this was in the early evening with no lines). Against my better judgment, I ordered the 2 cups. She only brought one cup. I again had to repeat that I ordered 2.
The custard was grainy and the cookie dough tasted a little sour/rancid. I ate three or four bites and threw it away. It's a shame, because I have gone here at the beginning of the season and both the service and the ice cream were much better.
Off to Cherry Hill for me. -

Awesome- absolutely nothing can stand up to their chocolate frappes. All the ice cream I've had here has also been top notch.

If you don't go here, you should! Best ice cream, ever. I have lived in Beverly 3 years, and can't wait for this place to open every season. It's addicting! And I haven't had a flavor that wasn't fantastic- and I've tried a lot! Texture, flavor, mix ins, are always perfect plus you always get a large serving. The staff is always super friendly, and the folks who own the place are great. I can't say enough good things about this place!

All I have to say is Mint Oreo Cookie Ice Cream!!!! LOVE IT! Lived off of it while I was pregnant. Want some now!
Its a great little place... the window is run by young girls in way too short, shorts. But what can you do... I want my damned Mint Oreo Cookie!!!Listed in: Couch Potatos!

When I'm at home in Beverly, and I crave frozen ice creamy goodness......
I want Dick & June's!
I haven't wandered too far on the menu, but what I've had has been great.
It takes some doing to make me venture far from my chocolate based flavors, but this little shack has me hooked on their Peppermint Ice Cream. Seriously, is there crack in that pink food coloring or what?
If this place ever chose to stay open year-round, I'd be about 15 lbs heavier......and peppermint scented. :D -

For as long as I have lived in Beverly (5 summers), I have been going to this amazing little ice cream shack. Dick & June's is a quaint little place located on Route 62 near downtown Beverly.
They have the most heavenly homemade ice cream on the North Shore. So heavenly it makes me forget that place on 114 in Middleton.. Richardsons..what?
The Cherry Lime Ricky, Banana Float and shakes are great. Nothing could be more euphoric as something as simple as their M&M ice cream in a cone.
Dick & June's is open till 10pm in the summer. They are open from late Spring through early Fall. Time's running out. GO NOW! -

Can I give Zero Stars?
My wife and I went here (I used to go to the location that was in Beverly farms as a child), I remembered how good their ice cream was.
Well, times have changed. My Lime Ricky was overly sweet as was my Sorbet. My wife said he ice cream was stale and too sugary. We will never go back to D & J's again, we will stick to Tredwell's in Peabody or Richardson's in Middleton. -

ok, this place used to be in the Farms, or Prides Crossing or whatever, and in the summer my dad would stuff my brother and I in the back 'seat' of his TR6 with the top down and we'd go for the best ice cream ever.
I have since grown up, they closed that location, the car has been sold, and I have had some of the best ice cream around the country now. This isn't as good as it seemed as a kid, but it's still damn good ice cream! It's just not summer with at least one stop here. -

Way too many a chocolate banana frappe has been purchased here.
I have risked my life to enjoy said frappes in the comfort of my own home (and by risked my life I mean replaced the usual death grip I hold around my motorcycle-driving boyfriend's waist with an equally firm hold around 2 waxy paper cups). -

We live on Rantoul by the depot and when the weather gets nice, we take the dog for a long walk to Dick & June's. We have gone maybe 3 or 4 times now. I always get the chocolate chip, and it's always great. Plenty of chocolate chips. Smooth ice cream. No ice chunks. Small is probably still a little bigger than it should be, but its at least manageable. My boyfriend always gets cookie dough, which he likes. He might like it better if there were chocolate chips in there as well. Overall and decent ice cream place. We plan to go again this week.

We just discovered Dick & June's after two years of driving by it. We were very surprised at the quality of the ice cream. I'd highly recommend both the Mississippi Mud Pie (coffee ice cream, fudge swirl, lots of oreos) and the Cookies and Cream. Meg loved the vanilla malt frappe. They also have soft serve if you're having one of those dairy queen moments. I've tried Capt Dusty's, Treadwells, and Richardsons and I'd take Dick & Junes over them. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I've been to Kimball's Farms out in Carlisle and Westford, which is the best ice cream on earth.

I am so excited for summer and being able to go here for a delicious treat. I love ice cream and this place does not disappoint.
My treat of choice is a coffee oreo ice cream frappe, but i have sampled quite a few other flavors and they have all been tasty. The black raspberry is great. Maple walnut is yummy. And when I want to relive my childhood I splurge on the bubble gum ice cream. Last time I ordered it, the guy working (I think he was the owner) did a double take, so I guess mostly only children order such an odd flavor, but I love it.
The owner is really nice. One time when we went there, my boyfriend didn't realize he had forgotten his wallet at home, so the owner said it was okay and we could just pay next time. That is great customer service.
Sometimes the line can be long, but on a warm summer evening, i don't mind standing around outside for a bit. Plus it gives me more time to scan the menu to see if I want to try something different. -

Always good ice cream here. I think they have the best cookies and cream around! Can't seem to get myself to try anything else but I'm confident the other flavors are just as good.

I LOVE Dick and Junes and anyone I bring there loves it too. They have unique flavors, as well as the classic stand-bys, and their ice-cream is the creamiest you can find. Great casual place for a summer treat, with consistently great service too- I'm always excited to go to Dick and June's.
