I have probably tried over half the menu there and can honestly say that there wasn't one thing I did not like.
Favorites appetizers are Beef Medallions, Gorgonzola Beef Roll and TNT shrimp.
You can't go wrong with any pasta dish. The lasagna is excellent and they use real ricotta.
The salmon is great and so are the steaks. They seem to cook everything just right. For those of you who think medium means no pink, be sure to specify how much pink you want (if any) and the chef will do you right.
They have an expansive wine list and can usually recommend something to compliment your meal.
As for the service, you can usually see Diane walking around the restaurant or at the door greeting guests. The staff is very professional and fun and the bartender really knows how to make a drink.
There is live entertainment in the bar area that doesn't kill the mood in the other areas of the restaurant and you can hjave a large party out on the indoor patio. We had a party of 16 and had a great time.
This seems to be the place to go on special occasions and most people are dressed to impress so don't be a slouch and show up in anything less. This is definitely a respectable establishment and it shows all the way through.
I will be going back to Dianne's next time I am in town visitng.
No idea what the hype is about... The shrimp was not fresh, the veal was dry, the fish was gross and over cooked. The other couple at our table didn't understand what was supposed to be so fantastic either.
In all honesty, save your money. Go somewhere else.
This is one of the places we go regularly if we are planning on a nice dinner in Columbia. Their food is always excellent, as is the service. The steak is always cooked perfectly. The TNT shrimp is a family favorite as an appetizer and everything that comes from the bar or off the wine list is worth whatever you pay for it. This is a great place for a special occasion dinner.
I took a first date there early one Saturday evening and was delighted. The atmosphere is excellent, the service was great and the food was perfect. We each sampled the others and both agreed. I would go there again, for sure. And there was parking in the back and on the street -- we parked on the street and I guess self-parking in the back is okay... Reasonable expensive for the food quality and ambience and nicely romantic.
