After checking out several diamond stores and larger chain jewelers we decided to stop by Diamonds Chicago based on the great Yelp reviews. We were definitely NOT disappointed. We knew exactly what we were looking for so that made us a little bit easier to please.
Carlee the owners wife assisted us and we were extremely pleased with her and the company. Carlee went out of her way to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and that we were pleased with the outcome. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our annoying questions with a smile and a great attitude. She personally hand picked the diamonds for our rings and did a fantastic job matching all of them, they are perfect.
They stand behind their products and even followed up to make sure we were happy and offered to clean and inspect our rings whenever we wanted at no additional charge.
Great fast service and great quality makes for happy customers. We will definitely shop there again. Thanks Carlee! We'll definitely be back again. Don't schlep all over the city, this is the real deal.

My fiancee and I bought an engagement ring and her wedding band here and could not be happier. I was so worried that it would be hard to find what she wanted and not pay a small fortune for it, but the staff at Diamonds Chicago made everything so phenomenally easy and straightforward. I have been recommending them to any one who will listen. They have amazing one-on-one service, pristine merchandise, and excellent prices. If you need an engagement ring, please do yourself a favor and go to Diamonds Chicago.
I love the girls at Diamonds Chicago! My husband bought my engagement ring here over two years ago, and they still remember him. After we got engaged, he told me the story of how he went to Diamonds Chicago to pick out my ring. He said that the girls there were very helpful and informative about the quality of the diamond he was getting. They explained the importance of color and clarity, things that he may have not known beforehand. With their help, He did a great job and found the perfect diamond in the perfect setting!
Upon my first visit to get my ring resized, the girls immediately congratulated me. They also briefed me a little bit on how to properly identify my stone. I was very impressed, and each time I get my ring back they hand me the microscope, and sure enough, I can see that it is mine.
My husband and I later returned together to purchase our wedding bands, we both found exactly what we were looking for, and they did a great job finding me a band that complimented my engagement ring very nicely. Since they are a wholesaler, we got a great deal as well as assurance that we were getting great quality. Over the past few years, I have taken my rings in several times for cleanings and slight adjustments, and they have always been so nice and my rings always comes back looking fabulous. I recently decided that I wanted to get both of them soldered together, so today I stopped in. They even gave me a discount since my wedding band needed to be resized a bit to fit to my engagement ring. When I got my ring back, it looked so unbelievably sparkly and new! They did a great job with the solder, and the rings match up just as I had hoped!
Wow I was really surprised to see the high ratings here but I guess our bad experience was mostly due to the specific lady we worked with. So it was my (now) fiance and I's first time looking at rings and I was super excited to try some on and get a better idea of what I wanted. The saleslady (sorry I can't remember her name) said that she was new (this was in June 09) and we spend literally 1 1/2 hours there and looked at 5 loose diamonds and 2 settings, I had to ask to even try on a ring. She spent the whole time educating on loose diamonds (I know this is important but so is finding out what you like). She seemed really bored and kept looking around and talking like she had a script. The other salespeople seemed nice but I think we just got a doosy. Sorry fellow yelpers that I let you down with no name but I have erased it from my memory. Needless to say, my fiance has since proposed with a ring NOT from this store.
My husband went to Diamonds Chicago on a whim because the shop that a friend had recommended in the same building happened to be closed that day. He only has brothers and his Mom wears a plain gold band so his diamond knowledge was very limited. He learned a lot from the staff about what was about to be the most expensive purchase he had ever made. He was so impressed with the customer service and selection that he decided to buy my engagement ring from Diamonds Chicago after comparing to 2 other stores. He proposed to me with my dream diamond - a beautiful 3 carat princess cut!
I had my wedding band designed by a jeweler who was an old family friend and was disappointed with the way it turned out. When we returned from our honeymoon, I made a visit to Diamonds Chicago and worked with Carlee to create exactly what I had been wanting. She is very knowledgeable and even drafted a computer model to give me a realistic idea of how the band would turn out. I really appreciated her patience and I couldn't be happier with how my engagement ring and wedding band look together on my finger. I highly recommend Diamonds Chicago and will not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs!
